@MeinKomponist well a valid opinion and I would side with you also, but I eventually heard that Segovia was utterly impressed with Django Reinhardts improvisation No1 so there is some impressive stuff going in jazz, even to an accomplished classical guitarist. Classical needs far more training than almost any other profession however. I wouldnt really forget my jazzers, though, it must be easier to teach youself...

@roge69charger Some of the greatest jazz guitarist in history were WOPs, including über-greats Eddie Lang (real name: Salvatore Massaro) and Joe Pass (real name: Joseph Anthony Jacobi Passalacqua.)
I already started with his source code, And I'm quite knowledgeable with theory, But, He Gets rid of all the jargon. Can't wait to order some more of his Courses.

Instructors can learn a lot about how to present information to a vast audience. Super salesman with a product worth having.
Met Robert Conti playing a solo gig in the mid-eighties. He was phenomenal. A true master of his craft. And he is a gentleman as well. A unique musician and teacher.
Robert Conti has more musical taste, talent and class in just one of those fingers than the idiot making fun of them. I have several of Robert's books and DVD's. Best Jazz teaching material in the world! You get your moneys worth and then some. He takes his time and teaches the material in simple terms. I'll own everything he sells, including one of his new Equity Guitars, in time. Keep kickin' ass and takin' names Robert! You are the coolest dude on the planet!
kirk hammett is not very good. you need to expand your horizons. good thing there's youtube! paul gilbert, buckethead, shawn lane, jason becker, george lynch, van halen, etc.
whoever made fun of his fingers is a douche ive got very thick fingers adn i play jazz blues which in my opinion probalbly the most difficult style you can learn it takes a raw emotion and expert knowledge of music theory so dont trash his fingers this man is extremely talented and very clean im really impressed with how clean it is.
this guy is the best at what he dose its a known fact that to play jazz guitar u need to have a real grasp og music theory this guy foregts theory and just plays staight through feeling
The licks are so easy to detect on the tab sheet. You instanly learn pro level lines and runs. You can even just learn the licks based over the chords. This enables you to use the licks in different sitiuations to different songs. The chords are even listed to the song so you will no what chords they go with. So quite frankly you are learing to play the solo as well as the song all in one lesson.
good improvision I never seen a player at the top level break down songs and licks like this. Joe Pass, and other greats never broke things down this simple
wrong. you will be, if you put effort and believe in yourself. all he does is explanable, except specific feeling, which is personal to everyone. but yes, this is just great!

your an idiot and obviously not a guitarist. If you were you would know that this is in fact not a semi-hollow body guitar, but a full fledged hollow-body guitar. A semi-hollow body guitar is significantly thinner. A good example is the Gibson es-335
So you shouldn't try to correct people on a subject you obviously know very little about, you hypocrite
its actually a full hollow body guitar, a semi hollow like a gibson 335 has a sustain block surrounding the pickups to cut back on feed back, that big jazz box hes playing has no such thing, it gives it that real jazz tone.

im wondering, how can he teach you note for note an improvised solo? i wouldnt be able to remember everything i played when i improvise. maybe some ideas and licks but not note for note.
He also can't remember the solo. So, to teach the solo, each DVD requires 3 cameras. After playing the solo, he watches play-backs of 1 -2 measure sections to see exactly what he played. Then, he duplicates each line of the solo in small segments for the viewer. It is a time consuming and very expensive video shoot. However, as you can see, it is very beneficial to the student viewer who is seeking this level of learning. Thanks for your interest! Mike, Production Manager
Hey Man this is Will. Of Hurry Up And Play, and I'm very, very impressed with your knowledge. I love the Jazz improve through chord progressions. I feel like a person doesn't really know how to play until he can do what you're doing. I/m and bass player, but I play guitar as well, and I plan on getting one of your DVDs

im wondering, how can he teach you note for note an improvised solo? i wouldnt be able to remember everything i played when i improvise. maybe some ideas and licks but not note for note.
