  • Last night I tried water marbling for the first time (it turned out okay, I could have done better) and I had a few questions. When you tape your finger, do you do one finger at a time or do all of them? Also, do you do the base color before or after you tape? Thank you so much! :)

  • I just tried water marbling for the first time last night. (It turned out eh). I was wondering if you normally do the tape before of after you do the base color and do you tape one nail at a time or do you do all at once? Thanks! :)

  • Did you win the contest

  • @pajamasrule102 no =(

  • O ok, thank you for replying and i will have more questions in store for you and also i have watched every single video. Keep making more. Sincerely, Your biggest fan

  • Just letting you know if you didn't notice but on you channel where its supposed to say simplelittelPleasures It says simplelittlePleasues in this one there's no r than in the first on.just trying to help, Sincerely, Your biggest fan

  • @twin2inca yes, as I mention in my profile I didn't notice until it was too late to change it =)

:D love your nails!!

  • i would love to see a video of how you take care of your nails :)

  • @Akaliset27 check out my Nail Maintenance vid under the Tips & Tricks playlist =)

  • i love this tutorial because i saw some spiral water marbles but i didn't manage to make them i think this one will work!!! love it! ♥

  • Wow! I think this is one my favorite water marbling that you have done. How would the look change if your base coat was green instead of the OPI DS Desire. I just read that you did not win. Well you should have, because all of you water marbling tutorials are creative and beautiful. Peace:)

  • @Jezebel1115 I don't remember if I did any tests with a green base, but I think the holo would have shown a little darker rather than its true color =)

  • @SimpleLittlePleasues I checked out the winners and I seriously think you should have made the top 10.. The winners used 5 to 6 different colors and you used only 2, but using so many colors made the nails look messy. I really love the color combinations that you chose and can't wait to try it myself. I would wear this look for a special formal occasion. Keep up the great tutorials...they are very helpful. Peace:)

  • i love this effect but i tried it today and either none of my polishes spread out or they spread and then retract back. Any idea on what the problem could be?

  • @Glendora2010 Are you using filtered water? Also keep in mind that not all polish works - every color is different in the water & it just takes a lot of trial & error to find the ones that work well. You want one with good pigmentation, maybe a little on the thick side but thin enough to drip & above all slow-drying. HTH =)

  • So sorry you didn't win:(...your amazing at what you do. Keep it up! ;)

  • I get my thoughts to charlie and the choccolatefactory, willy wonka and so on

when i see this marble :3

  • do you know where to buy opi nail polishes for less than $8.00 i really like water marbing but i dont like spending $8 for a bottle of nail polish

  • @pizzarockz123 Well, sometimes you can get coupons for places like Ulta =) but there aren't very many places online that sell discount OPI anymore due to a lawsuit last year. Sometimes you can still find a site that sells them or on like ebay, but often that has HTF colors that are even more expensive...

  • Amazing! Very pretty too!

  • I love this!!

btw, this is WAAAAY better than the ones on fb...

  • I love this!!

  • This looks great, really love the color combination. Thanks!

  • i like the spiral design!!

  • BEAUTIFUL♥

  • i agree with browsugu =)

  • this is soo pretty!!!

  • YOUR DESIGNS ARE ALWAYS BEAUTIFUL! LOVE THEM =)

  • Hi there. Thank you so much, I had never seen water marbling before, you inspired me to try it on the weekend. I love it so much! I'm interested though, what base and top coats do you use?! Thanks!

  • @MoonMunchkin7 The base coat I use right now is called Nail Life Gripper, or sometimes I use their ridge-filling formula. My favorite top coat is Seche Vite =)

  • i like your nail very niceeeeee

  • This design came out very pretty! I was finally able to complete a water marble design and they all came out pretty bright and fun. I will upload a video soon.... Thanks for all your great tutorials ;)

  • This is beautiful! I love it!

  • beautiful as usual x

  • Which color did u use for your base coat?

  • @talioness13 DS Desire =)

  • This is so pretty. I'm glad you decided to enter this design because it could double as a fall theme which I hope the judges notice. Good Luck!

  • i try to watch ur vids on the same day but im always 1 day late:(

  • This is so gorgeous ... the green looks like it's floating above the holo :)

  • So awesome! Good luck on the contest :o)

  • Great video - The colours and design blend together to make a brill tutorial.

Nice work and thanks for posting, best wishes...

  • very harry potter-ish! :) good job

  • love it! ahhhh! :))

  • hey... do you take requests?

  • @RavenSanDiablo I do .... although I can be very slow completing them =)

  • @SimpleLittlePleasues

    well, if you could...

i've tried so many times too do water marble, and it never comes out right for me.

i dont know why, maybe i need more practice.... lol

but is there a way to do a Water Marble effect without using water?

  • @RavenSanDiablo yes actually - check out my Shades of Pink Drag Marble design, it is under the "Nail Art Tutorials" playlist on my channel. There are a couple of other designs that use the drag method also, it basically marbles the polish right on your nail =)

  • i love this design and the colors... and you are right.. they do look better than the other one you did.

  • wow, nice combo

  • ooo Love this! I was wondering if you can use nailpolishes with shimmer in them! Deff trying this out this week! :)

  • ive tryed doin this so many tim3s n i cant do it plz h3lp ! mine always dries very fast and i us3 filtered room temp wat3r

  • @patita9234 well, you are using the right kind of water, so my olny advice is to keep trying different polishes - You want one with good pigmentation, maybe a little on the thick side but thin enough to drip & above all slow-drying. HTH =)

  • @SimpleLittlePleasues thanx :)

  • @thecowgoesMOO8D There really isn't a best brand, each color is different in the water & it just takes a lot of trial & error to find the ones that work well. You want one with good pigmentation, maybe a little on the thick side but thin enough to drip & above all slow-drying. HTH =)

  • can you tell me where on FaceBook are they doing the contest water marble on O.P.I... thank you

  • @yeymyquezada1979 OPIProducts is their Facebook account, but the contest actually ended on the 19th

  • they're like PERFECT swirls!!! AWESOME!!!!!!

  • I loved these colours. This was a really good combo

    you are really talented

  • yo that is freakin awesome :)

  • what water marbling contest are you talking about? you said "their" contest...but im not sure who "they" are.

  • @ohdangitsjenni OPI - they recently uploaded a tutorial to their YouTube channel, & they were hosting a challenge on their Facebook page =)

  • ur water marbeling is always so lovely. i tried for the first time yesterday and they turned out great. i used black and silver and my mom even wanted hers done heehe thanks alots for ur wonderful videos

  • @chickenlikingood i was trying it too but it didnt work out as good as hers, how do you do it?

i think i only succeeded once in it, do you like hav any tips on how to do it?

  • @SalTndPepper2 well mine didnt have the precise patterns as hers as im still inexperienced. some of the nail polishes i have were too thick and didnt spread properly but nail polishes int he same brand that werent as thick did spread. also after using the same water for a few nails i changed the water because i found that the nail polish particles were blocking the np from spreading. and u have to make sure the water is not too chilly because mine got a bit cold at times and didnt wrk as well.

  • how many times can you use one bottle of filtered water?

  • @tinas30 well, I get mine from a Brita pitcher, not a bottle, & I usually only use a cup for one manicure before dumping it =)

  • Do you do a voice over for your videos or talk while you do your water marble?

  • @JellyBean101978 I talk as I'm doing it =)

  • I liked you on facebook :)

  • This is geeeeenius! I love that combo.

  • Last night I tried to do a marble, which I've done before, but this time every nail came out a goopy mess. Do you have any idea why that might be?

  • @EABray0 if it goes kind of globby on the nail, you may be using a little too much polish - try using fewer drops =)

  • @SimpleLittlePleasues Alright, thanks

  • Good Luck Wit da Contest.... N Luv Da Colors.... Especially Green!!!(⌒-⌒; )

  • your videos and designs are always amazing, colette! hope you win the contest!

  • those 2 colors together are gorgeous! beautiful colors

  • Good luck with the contest!

  • all the polishes i try never work :(

  • i like the design but for some reason i am not really a fan of the two colours together.. good luck though:)

  • A what stick? :/

  • @xKonfusionity orange stick. it's made out of the wood from an orange tree. it's really useful for manicurists. :)

  • CAN U DO IT WITH ANY NAIL POLISH LOVE YOUR VIDEO

  • @loli79100 No - some sink or don't spread, some dry too fast. It takes a lot of trial & error to find the colors that work well =)

  • @SimpleLittlePleasues do you have like, a running list of the brands and/or nail polish that you find works best for marbeling that you've come across thus far?

  • @RootsRunDeeep not really - mostly because you can't tell just from the brand, every color even within 1 brand is different in the water =)

  • and also i hope u win!!!

  • can u do a nail polish collection videoo!!!

  • @mebebreann it's on my to-do list =)

  • @mebebreann i agree! her subbiesdeserve to see it

  • this effin hot! lovin the results!

  • I hope you win!

  • do you have OPI "i'm Suzi and I'm a Chocoholic" because it i cant get it to spread i mean i can get the 1 drop but not the the ones in the middle, what should i do?

  • @sscuser I don't have that particular color, but if you are using filtered water I would suggest keep trying different colors - it takes a lot of trial & error to find the ones that work well =)
