  • Anyone remember the Circle Line quiz?

  • I followed this show in London and then later overseas. It was indeed a community and entertaining to hear the voice of London - the voice of amiable and sometimes nutty banter in the wee hours. A real sanctuary for the refugees of our relentlessly impersonal metropolitan condition and truly of the people.

  • 1991??? I don't recognise that being 1991, looks more like 81 as monoman says - look how things change so quick.

  • @mtvne A lot more filth, crime and blacks roaming around nowadays. A shame. We didnt realise it at the time, but this was the twilight of English London.

  • This video is so sweet, i didn't know rather to shed a tear or smile. Charles seemed so nervous with the camera on him. Oh and what a moment when he turns his radio back on after the call. Clive just seemed bemused by the whole thing. Classic moment.

Is Charles still part of this world?

  • 1991?? Looks more like 1981! Was London really that grey and depressing?

  • All those nights awake listening to clive....I am now in Sheffield and have found clive again on DAB radio. Good to be 'home'.

  • Was that Bob there with Clive?

  • no dont think so

  • I think in this era that would be... Johnathan? Bob was much later (and he has to be both producer and man the phones while Johnathan had Paula to take the calls. I'm certain someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

  • Bob would have been about 17 when this was filmed

  • Rubbish

  • Globule!

  • CHOC IIIIIIIICE!

  • I remember LBC when it was all fields

  • globule
