@RocktheStageNYC unfortunatly the "MINE" and "ENTITLED" group of people is not constricted to just one generation. Working customer service has taught me that, when anyone in that group of people no matter how young or old spends money on a service, they OWN that service. It also should cater to them.
I completely understand not tolerating talking in the theatre, but texting is a bit overboard. You should at least refund their money after you've kicked them out.

If you have the right in the "Magnited States of America" to use your cellphone in the theater, you also have the right to yell "Fire" in a crowded theater.
@HitfulVids First of all, don't g to theaters - just watch whatever movie on the internet. Second, where in the hell is there a theater that makes you sit through your entire movie without so much as a bathroom break? Even the stricter theaters I've been to let me go so long as I had my movie ticket on me and didn't make tons of noise leaving and coming back!

That is the greatest anti-texting video ever! So many people are uncontrollably self-absorbed that they lack the discipline to sit for a mere 2 hours without indulging their addiction to technology and themselves. Maybe receiving/sending a text makes them feel important, because no other accomplishments in their lives do? Who knows. Bottom line is--if you go to see a movie, watch the movie. Others paid for a ticket and YOU paid for a ticket. Don't waste the money that you or they paid.
When I went to the movies last week, I turned the brightness of my mobile way low and turned off the sound. It couldn't possible have bugged anyone. And why did I do this? Because I was urgently waiting a message. If a theater lays down such iron rules regardless of how much it bothers others, I would well steer clear.

@pghcraig I don't know about you, but when I am at the movies, I pay attention to the movie, not to what other people are up to. They might have issues with phone addiction, or maybe someone who wants to contact them doesn't know that they are in a theater right now. I don't care.

@THEVIOLENCE1 also obviously they don't care about their customers because they made this video in response to a complaint, ive never heard or been to this"place" but poor customer service stems from poor business practices! this to me came off as arrogant,and uncaring about the customers needs i mean if you dont want people to use light from their cell phones then provide the light for them to me that seems like a simple fixand if ever i was kicked out my cell would be the least destractracting

Dude, she acts like she's the freaking daughter of the President or something. My friend and I got kicked out for a month for throwing M&Ms in a theater her cousin worked at. Instead of leaving angry drunk voicemails, we laughed it off and rented the movie when it came out on DVD.

Second, where in the hell is there a theater that makes you sit through your entire movie without so much as a bathroom break? Even the stricter theaters I've been to let me go so long as I had my movie ticket on me and didn't make tons of noise leaving and coming back!

That is the greatest anti-texting video ever! So many people are uncontrollably self-absorbed that they lack the discipline to sit for a mere 2 hours without indulging their addiction to technology and themselves. Maybe receiving/sending a text makes them feel important, because no other accomplishments in their lives do? Who knows. Bottom line is--if you go to see a movie, watch the movie. Others paid for a ticket and YOU paid for a ticket. Don't waste the money that you or they paid.

When I went to the movies last week, I turned the brightness of my mobile way low and turned off the sound. It couldn't possible have bugged anyone. And why did I do this? Because I was urgently waiting a message. If a theater lays down such iron rules regardless of how much it bothers others, I would well steer clear.

What I think I loved most, besides the marketing factor which cracked me up; was that she first claims she was using it as a flashlight to get to her seat (WOW it's dark in a theatre!?!!?) but then she mentioned it was on silent...so....obviously she was texting in there too. I kinda understand her being upset. Did you actually hear any complaints from other customers about her mobile usage? And if you are so concerned about other spectators' comfort, why don't you stop selling food and drink as well, because I can assure you that the sounds of people chewing, gulping their soda and getting the most of their bags of chips are far more annoying than any light disturbance. I just don't get it.

Have you ever been near someone at the movies on a phone? The vibrate sound is worse, and vibrates your chair, the the one next to you too. If you can't pry a phone out of your hand for 2 hours, you have bigger issues

@pghcraig I don't know about you, but when I am at the movies, I pay attention to the movie, not to what other people are up to. They might have issues with phone addiction, or maybe someone who wants to contact them doesn't know that they are in a theater right now. I don't care.
