Carl, I just want to repeat what someone else said, THANK YOU, for your time & patience, but ALSO to tell you- Ive seem MANY, and YOU, are an EXCELLENT TEACHER. Thank you so very much-
This is a great lesson and everything, but you could've toned-up a bit better, srv style. just for authenticity. cause this tone sucks, imho. anyway, great lesson, thanks!
@TellingYouTwice Hey, that is just a chromatic passing tone. You will hear that used a lot in blues and jazz. It kind of compliments the blues note at the 15th fret on the 3rd string. :)
@TheFaceMeIter Hey thanks a lot for the nice feedback. It feels good when someone does recognize all the work it takes and it helps keep me inspired to make a lot more!! Hope to hear from you soon!! Carl..

@bizzle1783 Hey bizzle!! Thanks a bunch for the kind words. It makes me feel really good when I hear from someone like yourself who is getting something out of my lessons. It really makes it worth all of the work. I have a lot more stuff coming including theory stuff very soon so let me know if you need any help at all with any of it!! And of course thank you for supporting my main site, I couldn't do all of this without it. Cheers!! Carl..
Great lesson Steve did a lot of up stroke stuff, I always hear Albert and Fred King in SRV style , I love the man, I am still learning theory but I will always call the E 7 b9 the Jimi Hendrix chord.LOL, I did learn that that chord inversion is from Germany Lol I know this is guitar lesson not history.
Thank for all the great lesson and all the work you but into making us better players.
@steveo27545 Hey Thanks Steveo for the great feedback! I usually call it the Hendrix chord myself, I think that is what most guitar players refer to it as. Thanks a lot for checking out my lessons. Your the best man!! Carl..

In the C#, during the end of the higher octave, could you explain why you hit the thirteenth fret of the D string.
