i'm thinking about upgrading (side grading?) from my macbook pro 13 to an Air 11inch.. Trackpad and hibernation have always been really wacky on my mb pro. (even after careful instructions off canical's website. Wondering if you experience any issues like this? It would be awesome if it worked perfect!
No problem with hibernation it works better than osx...! (on osx when I try to wake up after more than one hour it boots from zero like after a shutdown... Everything is perfect with ubuntu!)
Thanks so much for the reply! Glad to hear that hibernation and trackpad work!
I read about how hibernation works on the air, it's a lot different than the other macs. They tried to make it "instant on". I think that's why it shutsdown to save battery then loads up the instance where you left off. but, I don't really know. OSx is only for iTunes in my life.
does the multitouch trackpad fully works in ubuntu? e.g 3 finger expose effect? can u publish some benchmarks?

Good luck.

Trackpad scrolling sucks with LINUX or Windows.

@dinnerandashow That's not right, ubuntu knows the two finger scrolling just as the Mac OSX. It's a fantastic OS and even more, it's free.
