I like having 3 tx bands in one unit, but I've been reading more reports than I like about quality with these units... for being on the north side of $300 though seems like a good deal. Thankfully they still make these units.
Love mine too but had to send back for more warranty work this time low modulation, driver for recieve audio burnt out ,only doing 4w not 5w. The power Jack had blown out bad design, was original problem. Other than that great HT
I have had one of these for about 9 years, love it,great size, outstanding battery life and love the ability to "light" up the keypad as well as to keep the the display light on!
I just picked up one of these a couple of weeks ago and haven't had much chance to use it, but I already know I'll be getting a Diamond SRH320A and having my local ham shop tune up the low modulation. I'm also thinking about a Diamond discone and PAR Electronics end-fed SWL wire to use it's full capabilities at home.
I have heard some locals on 2M SSB already and that was very cool. I like it so much that I even got one to give my newly-licensed B-I-L for Christmas!
Bought this when it first came out. It was nice to also listen to the local VHF television stations until they transitioned to digital. The original Lion battery finally died and had to get a replacement. I love this HT. Mine also replaced the HTX 202. PC programming is highly recommended. N1ZMH
As I love to say, "Hail Japan!" You'd never see this kind of innovation and compactness in a US-made product. I'm a proud Yankee, but this just isn't part of our national character anymore--this kind of thing.
Awesome,I have one of these and im lucky if I can get to listen to AM radio,I got to get my learn on this thing.

Great little HT. As with all with HF they have wide selectivity but the TH-F6A is one of the best.
