@vtg401009 Yes, it is. Although seeing pumpkin beers in the store when it's 95 degrees outside is a little wierd. I'll pick up a couple of them this year to hopefully review. Thanks for watching!
@VideoBeerReviews Oh I don't drink them in this weather, I keep them for the cold nights and thanksgiving feasts. We always pick up 4-5 of the 4-packs and save them throughout the fall and winter
I am having a Punkin Ale now. Great review. If you are looking for a sweeter pumpkin ale, Cottonwood makes a great one. Weyerbacher's is also more malty and sweet. Post Road Pumpkin is as well. While, New Holland makes a more spiced version like DFH.
I saw the Post Road in the store yesterday but will have to wait til next week as I blew my "beer budget". I don't think Cottonwood beers are available here in GA.
This is one of the most descriptive reviews that I have seen from you. I am definitely looking forward to sharing a four pack of this with some friends of mine. Cheers.
It's worthwhile trying it again just to see if you think the same about it.
I've been trying to find some music that won't get "dinged" by youtube. Several videos have been flagged and my guess is more will soon, it seems they are really stepping up their efforts, and I don't want to get blocked for too many violations.
I'm really dreading this autumn/winter.. but the beer is always a nice bonus. This is one I might have to try. My friend keeps raving about the pumpkin beer that Michelob makes... I don't trust it... If I try that, I'll make sure that he buys it! lol
I'm ready for some cooler weather but Fall/Winters here in GA aren't near as bad as in the Northeast. I don't miss the snow, that's for sure. I'll wait for your review of the Michelob Pumpkin Ale :-)
I just found next to me 6 pac of SmuttyNose Pumkin Ale for $10, they were selling a 4 pack of this Dogfish Head Punkin Ale for the same price.

I will have to try this one again. Last time I had it was a couple years back and I was not impressed. I rated it 2.5 on ratebeer.
geoffolehane 1 year ago
@geoffolehane I thought it was a decent beer. Better than average but not fantastic.
VideoBeerReviews 1 year ago
you forgot to mention that the 7% ABV is very evident in this beer, the alcohol presence reminds me almost of Goose Island Matilda

I didn't really taste the alcohol in this beer. But, that's the fun part about beer, everyone tastes something different.

I wasn't too crazy about this one when I had it last year. But I'd like to try it again to see if I can appreciate it now.

I will try to review this one at some point but I want to review the pumpkin beers that I haven't tried yet first. I remember liking this one.
