  • @theMissJackson101 nobody is nutts but the little girl

  • I don't get the meaning of the pills rolling away

  • Su-Mi was playing the part of her and her step-mom, when her step mom wasn't even there yet. She had that appearance because that's how she saw herself. (Multiple personality disorder) . Sooo when they were talking to the step mom and all Su-Mi kept switching between herself and the other personality.

Is it that hard to google the plot of this movie?? t(*^*t)

  • My fav part of the movie! Brilliant piece of camera work!!!!!!! Scary as hell

  • Man, I hate this music! It alone made me crap myself.

  • really confused!!!

  • who killed su - yeon?

  • @zegatshi unintentionally the stepmom..you'll know on the next episodes..

  • It don't get it ... TT

  • @tasumikotoful it has been Su-Mi all along ..she has a multiple personality disorder caused by the trauma she got when her mom and sis died.

  • Makes no sense. The girl has been talking as three people to one another and the father either did not notice or did nothing to stop her?

  • The stepmother is really evil!

  • look it up on wikipedia if you are confused and read the plot section. It's difficult to explain.

  • What. The. Fuck?

  • After watching this movie I can only say i dont recommend it. It wasnt bad but it makes you look at things differently than before...It gives thesick persons point of view.and i dont think thats good for anyone...though the movie itself gave me inspiration and new thoughts...i rate it 7.5/10.

  • @MusicGirl92142 "It gives thesick persons point of view" Well, maybe sometimes we need to perceive life from other perspectives than those that are considered "normal". Besides; many of the greatest artists and scientists throughout history suffered from some kind of mental incapability.

  • @MusicGirl92142 Your comment pissed me off big time....are you trying to say that if someone is a bit different or suffers from something we shoud just stay away...not everyone has your same point of view and just because of that you cant look at others speacially if theyre sick just bacuse its not good for you..... is this what youre trying to say if it is there is something seriously wrong with you....if not i sincerely apologize...

  • @MusicGirl92142 You don't think it's good to see through the eyes of someone who's "not normal?" I don't think there's anything that needs to be said to you that those below me haven't said.

  • mindfuck

  • You guys, Su-Mi has a personality disorder. She blames the step-mom for the death of her mother and sister. Up until now, the stepmom did not exist; so during the fight scene she did all of those things to herself.

  • omggggggggggg.......i understand nothing....can some1 plz explain everything again...wth is going on?

  • I am so confused, can someone please explain what the hell just happened? The daughter killed her sister? I thought it was the mom who was crazy? Oh someone please help me. ^^'

  • if the stepmom isn't real then how do you explain the dinner party and the conversations with the dad?

  • @SkittleKrew122 That was her and that's why they don't remember... because she's fucking crazy

  • @SkittleKrew122 multiple personality disorder..it was the girl who did all these things..thats why everyone reacted shocked and all of them knew she was insane...

  • @SkittleKrew122 it's not the stepmom..it's Su- Mi. that's why people around her are not enjoying her chat..it's because she's pretending to be someone she's not and they know it's because of her disorder(multiple personality disorder). And that is actually the big confusion on the whole story. Gets?

  • :D

  • DO you think the human mind is capable of doing this?In real life I mean.

  • @automaticchic Yeah people have split personalities in real life

  • @automaticchic Yes, it can. I do not speak of personal experience, but I do have friends who suffer from mental disorders like schizophrenia. The things they sometimes thinks are true.... You just would´nt believe it.

  • WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ONNNNN????????!!!

  • Asian horrors are rarely this beautifully made....the ending did it for me:)

  • ...I UNDERSTAND!!!! FINALLY!......omg i thought i was gonna die of confusion xD

  • Go and watch Craze Circus (Japanese Movie) It has ALMOST the same similarities.

  • there's never been a step mom in the house...everything, her sister including the stepmom, is mixed up inside her psychosis...

  • huh?i dont get it >.<

  • So... the ghost was the real mother? I'm asking this because the emphasis seems more to be about Sumi's psychi than about the ghost.

  • it is copy of the sixth sense.... not original at all

  • @reza100100100 As this is based on an old Korean folk tale that has been filmed before who is to say that the director of the sixth sense didn't take the idea from the folk tale. The director and writer of the Sixth Sense is Indian or Indian origin anyway so it easy for him to get ideas from Asia that are unknown in the west.

  • @reza100100100 And you think the Sixth Sense MUST be original as well yeah? Nothing can be truly original nowadays - what's more this film and the Sixth Sense are two different films in tone, story and style so you can't really compare the two.

  • Oh and I remember, while everything we've seen is Su-mi's personality disorder causing her to think she's two people, and hallucinate Su-yeon, there IS actually a ghost in the house too. We only see it twice, but never seen by SuMi. It's during the meal when that woman has an allergic reaction and sees it under the kitchen surface, and the second time is at the end with the (real) Step-Mum. They kinda throw people off, but yeah, two two instances are the only times real ghosts appear.

  • @xmaster2 I'm not sure about that. When the dad confronts the girls in their bedroom after burying the bird.

Su Yeon is meant to be ghost but does not know that she is dead and that's why she starts screaming.

    according to the director.

The following is a deleted scene: After the above scene Su mi runs to her bedroom crying and Su Yeon confronts her and asks why she didn't come to her rescue.

I have seen this scene and 15 other deleted scenes not in the main movie.

  • Oh also, all that blood everywhere and the bag with blood, if you look closely when she's having the flashbacks and realising everything, you see it's actually water and the bag is wet, and has a mannequin/doll inside it.

  • I'm soooo confused but intrigued.

  • Right su mi felt as guilty as the step mother, for not saving su mi. Making her think she is the step mother as well. So all that to do with the step mother wasn't real it was just her emagining it with her scyzophrenic mind. Also you could say that when su mi and the step mother were having arguments, su mi was punishing herself in her own way for neglecting su yeon.

  • for those who dont understand the movie, all of the step mom scene was just made by sumi she just want to justify that her sisters death was her stepmoms fault and she love her sister very much that is due to guilt that she left her sister dying sumi made a 2 personality a bad and good to emphasize that su yeon still exist she cant accept the fact that her sister is dead and she do nothing but leaving her house. the creepy bag scene was just her imagination to pnpoint that her stepmom kil suyeon

  • Sumi has a multiple personality after she lost her sister Suyeon.

  • So wait... There was no evil stepmother, it was all really Su-mi? And everything with the stepmom and Su-mi was made up? Su-mi killed her sister?

So she's insane. She has two personalities, then?

    I'm... confused.

    u-u

  • @ShiwooBxtch the "stepmother" was the affair of her father, after that her mom commited suicide in the wardrobe and when her young sister found her the wardrobe fell on her, the "stepmom" hated the girls also because the crazy sister insulted her all the time and finally the stepmom didnt help the younger sister to come out of the wardrobe which killed her in the end. When yumiya found Mom and sister dead she went insane...=multiple personality disorder

  • the story is is that sumi is a whack job. the whole movie was her telling the doctor how she portrayed the whole thing because her craziness wanted her to have a reason, which turned out to be wrong the whole time.

dont know if that made sense...sorry. :)

  • I DONT GET IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    -.-

  • OMG THERE WAS TOO STEP MOTHERS TO SAME PEOPLE?

I GOT CONFUSED FOR A MINUTE BUT THE PERSON SITTING WAS SU-MI SO THE ACTUAL STORY IS THAT SU-MI WAS IMAGINING SHE HAD A SISTER SU-YEON AND THE STEP MUM IS GOOD? OR IS SHE STILL HORRIBLE? I DONT GET ITTT SOMEONE EXPLAIN.

  • the mom exists, the one that really does not exists is the younger sister/ So Hyeon. The step mom has a bad image in the scenes because she is is bad in su mi's mind. almost all of the scenes were just made up by su mi's insanity.

  • What the f*** just happen?? I'm really confused T_T

  • ok how did her sister die and is the stepmum realy a bad person

  • did anyone notice that the girl has angelina jolie-lips?

  • IM confused now. this movie is CRAZYYYYY lol

  • Wait, then what really happened in the scene where the stepmom locks the little sister in the closet?

  • confusing @ss movie. ...

  • Damn though...your wife is dying and you go and have an affair? You fucked up.

  • Pillz here

  • mmmk. Dissociative identity disorder.

  • i feel bad for the dad. his wife his dead. his first daughter is crazy. and his second is also dead!.... and he's single :(

  • @Super123Xxxxxxx

    lol, single...haha

  • The oriinal title was Jangwha(rose) and Hongryun(red lotus flower). The original motif of this story came from a korean traditional fairy tale, Jangwha and Hongryun. Thus, Suyeon's room is decorated witih hongryun and the wall paper in Sumi's room is decorated with roses

  • oooowh I nearly cried :'(

  • su-mi here is the from my little bride, inocent step and love me not!!!

  • same as the uninvited hahahahaha

  • @temoor07 Actually, the Uninvited is the same as this.

  • @janethebookworm Yeah, PRETTY much has the same storyline. LOVED both movie though

  • @janethebookworm The Uninvited has a completely different storyline with the same basis.

  • wait, who was she hitting?

  • @loganevary in the bag? it was a doll.

  • How old is the stepmom? she's very pretty :)

  • My cat jumped up on my lap at 2:15; it scared me so much, I nearly pissed myself!

  • I usually don't comment on this, but the acting here is top notch,. The music in this part gave me the chills!

  • I don't get it who did Su-Mi kill?

  • @LyfeofAmys it was just a doll in the bag

  • wait wat so the older sister killed her little sister or what I don't get it

  • the story is very confusing + all these girls look a like.!!!.omg..i guess i need to watch the english version.

  • So did Su-mi's step mom let Su-yeong die on purpose?

  • wait.. from the start i recognised the girl who played the younger sister.. is she the one in cinderella sister??

  • wtf? im sooooooo confuse. I though the younger sister and stepmom was only in the older sister mind. But what about the part where the stepmom say to the dad that wierd things happen in this house when the sisters moved in. He even reply to her by saying that she need to adjust to it slowly. Then that mean the step mom was real and therefore the younger sister was also real. wtf. thats how i understand it so far. i think. but..........fuck it. im just going to watch and see happen.

  • @FalkonX3000 no, that was the dad talking to his daughter.. it was sumi that was saying that there's weird things in the house and he said she's needs to adjust slowly because she had just gotten back from the mental hospital.

  • @FalkonX3000 The reason he is saying she needs to adjust to it slowly is because he wants her to forget about all of the memories that had happened in the past....he doesn't just come out and say "Those two are dead" it's his daughter..he wants to help her forget

  • um i dont know if any of this crossed peoples mind but the bed scene when he got in the same bed as his daughter i found that strange....

  • @blueicees thats the same thing that crossed my mind.....

  • @blueicees well yeah...that's why he moved downstairs and slept on the couch...remember?

  • @HalfDeadHippie thats not what im talking about im talking about the fact that he actually held her until he thought she was asleep

  • Sinceramente, please somebody help me!!!!! Pq a madrasta castigou a irmã q já estava morta????? Então ñ foi a stepmum e sim sua irmã, Am i right or wrong?

  • @98488480 I don't speak Portuguese, but i think you're trying to figure out who the stepmom is. Su-mi is the stepmom. Su-mi has multiple personalities. the real stepmom is alive, but she wasn't in the house until the end of the movie.

  • Aww :'( I don't think I've ever wanted to cry in a horror movie before.

  • When she said " mum " I began to cry, because it just reminds me of me & my mom . . .

  • the subbed of "mum" bothers me a lot when I'm hearing momma

  • now i confused????

  • this movie is the same of the english version the uninvited...

  • at this whole time it was just sumi and her dad. NO ONE ELSE. sumi was pretending to be the stepmom and suyeong was just in her imagination. she was imagining suyeong. sumi was pretending to be the step mom cause she has multiple personalities. the REAL stepmom wasn't there the whole time. she was at somewhere else. she only showed up in the end of the movie. the dad called the real step mom for help cause he was tired with sumi's personalities.

  • ok, now. TELL ME WHAT IS REALLY HAPPENING? I have no idea, I'm confused and just.. wtf..? :D

  • i really dont understand this movie...

  • yep shes crazy, the stepmother was never there she just used it as a scapegoat for what happened to her mother and sister! :*(

  • would somebody please explain this movie to this dumb yank?

  • wats so special about the wardrobe that she gets so sensitive about?? =/ SOMEONE ANSWER ME DAMMIT!!!

  • @KandiiGuh

suyeong and sumi's real mom died there. :/

  • argh, this movie is so hard to understand.

  • ohhh she is crazy ya...

  • That's why she had her period the same time as the mother.

  • i know this is uninvited the american remake but i keep on thinking of shutter island when i watch this

  • so Su-mi is playing as her sister and her stepmom.

  • im cunfused, i dont understand the consept of the story ?

its a good film, i just dont get the story.

    help?

and what is sooo special about that wardrobe ? x

  • just wiki it for your answer >.>

  • Comment removed

  • 8:31 is that the stepmom or their real mom?

  • gragh

    wdf is in that bag...

  • it was a large doll

  • sumi is insane when her sister died, she just dont want to accept the truth because she really loves her sister.

  • Dont spoil shit!!!

Whatever becomes most obvious, still don't say it!! Unless u say sumthin like "i think" cuz if ur right then u said a fact and ruined the movie for all of us!

Specially soo close to the end!

    Very rude...

(Im not tryin to be mean or nuthin, just if ur right then we lose the suspense n stuff.. But kudos for a good guess if u are=)

  • wait did sumi kill her sister?

  • no, Su-mi did not kill her sister. Su-yeon died in a accident some time before. There are no murders in this story.

  • the real murder was when su-mi let the sister and the mother die

  • sorry, I don't agree with your assertion. Murder is the act of killing another with intent or with malice aforethought. Su-mi's mother died from suicide and Su-yeon died by accident. Su-mi was unaware of what had happened at the time so there is no intent or malice intended. Criminally negligent manslaughter is possible as Su-mi delayed and distracted Eun-joo which resulted in delaying getting help for Su-yeon but even that is quite tenuous

  • sorry i got the names brong!

i wanted to say that su-mi`s step mother was the real murderer...cause she saw su-yeon dying and she run away and then she had the discution with su-mi while su-yeon was asfixiating and she didn`t care!

  • Ah, but what if Eun-joo WAS going to get help but was distracted and delayed by Su-yeon. Precious moments where both pride, anger and dislike by both females led to Su-yeon's death. And considering how quickly Su-yeon died when the men finally did arrive, I'm certain Su-yeon would still have died, but she would not have died alone. Murder, legally no.

  • omg i luv it!

  • i8 don't get it

  • where had the actual stepmother been??

  • the real stepmother has been staying somewhere else until this part. She was who the father had been speaking to on the phone.

  • i hate that violin squeky sound..it realy freaks me out!

  • GAHHH! This movie is INSANE!!! haha literally. XDD

Uninvited doesn't even compare. That only mildly freaked me out. This freaked me out to the MAX!

  • @BelovedCaptain does uninvited use the same story or is it different in ways?

  • @black4pienus Well it has a lot of the same issues: a father cheating on the dying mother, a daughter mad because she knows about it. The insane daughter also loses her sister and imagines her still alive. But in Uninvited, she doesn't also imagine herself to be the stepmom either. That was just plain weird. O_o

  • @black4pienus Sorta she seemed more of a psychopath, because it looked as is she planned the death of her stepmother.

  • so the stepmom was not with them this whole time...there were only su-mi and her dad at that house....and su-mi was really the stepmom but in her imagination she was the good protective sister to su-yeong who died long ago..

-this is how i understand the movie..if this is not it...then im confused..hahahaha

  • you're not confused. You got it right!

  • @yttucFosho

thanks...i had some loopholes in my theroy...this clarified it

  • you got it right, even though the step mom was never there, she was a bad person though because she saw when the litle girl was dying and she didnt do nothing.

  • @yttucFosho dat kinds of make sence cuz remember when they where outside with tha bird tha dad only asked how su-Mi was and not the other one ..

  • @yttucFosho thnx i guss u r theroy is right cus eim soo con fused right now

  • so is the step mother evil or is the daughter evil?

  • the step mother is god read thisIt is revealed, that all along Su-Yeong really has been dead, and Su-Mi was acting as the stepmother and sister, a severe multiple personality disorder. She was the one at dinner, she was hugging herself that night she had the nightmare and she was beating the bag (which had a bloodied doll in it).

  • oh that's messed up

  • so is her sister okay? she's not dead or anything?

  • as i know she's already dead in car accident with their mom....

  • oh no that's sucks.

  • there was no car accident. How their mom and Su-Yeong died are reveled at the end of the movie

  • there was no evil persons in this movie. Only a string of sad tragic events

  • even tho the stepmom is evil and all.... i wud so hit that ;)

  • Soo...who's dat girl that she's hiting inside the sack????

  • it just a bloody doll

  • So there is no BAD step mom :)

  • The movie is kinda sad :(

  • when i was 9 yr,old when i first saw this movie until now im 15 yrs.old

i still confuse what strory about ..

but i always says that this is full of imagination .. :(

  • this movies is making no sense, if su-yeon was dead how did the mother know there was 2 of them, if the step mom was evil then was she in the mind of Su-mi or was su-mi the good one ?

  • I will explain if you still need help the stepmom and su-mi are the same person. she has multiple personality disorder and she thinks she is the step mom. thats why she was in the hospital. su-mi imagined her sister there the whole time. and just now when the step mom comes in it is the real stepmom who wasn't there the whole time because she was a nurse at a hospital. thats why everyone treats su-mi weird because sometimes she thinks she is the stepmom

  • if her stepmom was an imagination, how was her father taking to her? ugh this movie is so confusing and totally not scary

  • no her stepmom was not an imagination. su-mi and the stepmom are the same person. su-mi has multiple personality disorder and that is why she was in the hospital. she thinks she is the step-mom sometimes. and she was just imagining her sister there the whole time. and this movie isn't really supposed to be scary it is supposed to be deep and it is really good

  • now I understand it! maby.... 8D

  • I love this part where shes realizing shes the step mom the whole time. this is my favorite movie!

  • is this soming scary? because when i see scary movie i cant sleep! and i didnt watch it yet . i got scard when i saw the tiny part whe a old man found somthing that looks like a doll it was knid of scary then i stopped it and post this commet!

  • It is a little bit i watched it with my friend and we screamed alot but laughed afterwards it just messes withyour head

  • than if you don't wanna have insomnia for like the next 5 years or so - don't watch this (-:

  • no it is not really supposed to be scary. korean horror movies are supposed to be deep and have a really good story

  • thanks

  • Man, i cry everytime Su-Yeon cries, she looks soo young and innocent, it's just that there is something in her face that makes me feel soo bad for her, or maybe it's just me, don't know?!!

  • Oh my god...the soundtrack for this is amazing and my favorite scene is when stepmom and stepmom changes to sumi and stepmom...the camera angles are perfect.

  • brilliant movie.. im a fan.. i hope more and more korean films release in india.. theyre brilliant!!!!!
