Most of the time it was necessary, the USSR annexed the baltics, parts of Finland and placed half of europe under its control as satelite states and installed puppet governments. Do make sure the USSR would be destroyed along with the US as revenge for starting a nuclear war it was neccessary to place nuclear weapons in Europe. the USSR placed thousands of Nukes on East Europe, no big deal.

And further more the Canadians were part of the British Common wealth in WWII and were under the dirct command of the Brits.

@therohvac Making fun of me while im just telling the truth? Canada officialy claimed the liberate of The Netherlands. And yes the US but also every other western ally havent fought very hard in Europe. At the east-front there were lots of more fronts and lots of more fights. In the western front there werent much fronts, until D-Day there wasnt much fought there. When D-Day succeeded, the western allies could walk hundreds of kilometers into France since there were not many fronts.
