He wants us to realize the deep love he has for us because the reason we were created was to be with Him.He gave us free will so we can CHOOSE to be with Him or not. Why create robots who love you because they are told? He did get angry especially in the Old Testament. Can you blame him? Look at what the people were CHOOSING to do.

I'm sure through all the ages and translations things must have gotten lost or mistranslated, but overall... I believe what it says to be truth. And there is evidence to back up the greater majority of it so.. I'll go with truth. To each his own though.
So although there are mistranslations, passages gone lost, passages wrongly interpreted and rewritten, you still believe the whole book to be the truth? And then again, how do you know what is true in it and isnt? Yes, there is some historical truth to it, Pharaohs that indeed have lived, cities that existed, but what about Heaven and Hell? All the miracles Jesus performed? Judgement Day? etc etc etc..no proof of that at all. It all comes down to faith.
And faith is without evidence. And how can there be truth without evidence? Because you strongly think and feel so? There are many theories how gods were created by mankind and why.. mainly to explain natural phenomenons and to gain power over people, And then we have all the slaughter in the name of god.. his jealousy, the genocides he commited..no thanks.

@nevenante You got it right, for the most part. But I'm sure theology differs from person to person. Overall I agree, except the whole "scale" thing. He is the Alpha and Omega, First and Last, yada yada...If we are talking in terms of scale, He is off the charts in all aspects. I don't believe the Spirit is micro in the least bit. If you've ever felt the Holy Spirit before, you'll agree its very powerful. Jesus has a glorified body so he's far from "our" scale, but yes, he is our channel to God.

God the "Son" functions/operates on our scale. He is the interface for us to God the Father and God the "Spirit"

I love Akiane and am grateful to her so much! Always when I am in any sort of doubt about the goings on in this world or in what I do in my life, it takes only a small glance at her work, at her art, at her beautiful soul to get me.. not back to normal but better then i was before! Up and read and motivated to do whatever it takes to give the best i can to the world, and not to let my life go by, not even a single bit. If you want a reminder of who God is and what He did through His Son Jesus Christ, read scritpure, it is filled with the true glory of who God is. Religions are continually trying to bring Jesus down to our level (Islam, he's just another prophet) or raise us humans up to His level (LDS-we can all be same as Jesus if we only abstain from coffee!) Both errors eliminate accepting Christ as savior. THAT can only happen when we get straight that we are NOT on the same level as Jesus. He is the Christ, the only one who conquered death.

So therefore there must be a designer. Just like a building, you cant hear, feel, touch, smell, and taste the architect that designed the building. In James 1 it says that the Word, who is also God, became flesh and lived among us. And I do know that if I believe in Him and call upon His name I shall be saved. I have done that. Like "You shall not murder ," "you shall not steal," "you shall not bare false witness." Now I know that there are no laws in our country that says "you shall not have no gods before me" and ect., but a lot of our moral ethics are wrapped around the Ten Commandments. It is right to honor you parents, it is wrong to commit adultery, because you wife/girlfriend would
