They are no longer contagious to others. The "antibodies" protect them from any future hepatitis B infections. These people do not need the vaccine since they are already protected.
So i take it that it was acute Hep b i had and it is curable, please comment if you think i'm wrong.

My whole family, my grandparents and my brothers have it. But thank god no one developed cirrhosis yet. And my granddad's in his 90s! if the parent have hepatitis and didn't knew about it,then it's possible that it was pass to the child,unless if the child was been injected with anti viral medication right away after birth.it cannot be cure anymore and it's always in the blood,but there are treatment or medicines that can help stabalize the desease..people have hepatits would atleast check regularly,..

My whole family, my grandparents and my brothers have it. But thank god no one developed cirrhosis yet. And my granddad's in his 90s! Perhaps the fact that we don't drink helps a little (not that we're religious or something, just all of us happened to hate alcohol). Anyway I'm always checking my liver through blood testing and so far so good. Hope to live as long as my granddad.

@lovella55 What are you scared of? Your body will eventually kill it, ONLY if you eat right and take vitamins. Vitamins are like giving your white blood cells tommy guns instead of swords. Hep A and B are easy to rid of. The only cure is "time". You have about 3 or 4 more months of it. Oh yea, no beer. Beer doesnt help anything if you havent noticed.
Now if you have Hep-C, well... your a goner. Im just being honest.

1/2 Actually I just went to my doctor because I always felt unusual fatigue. I was thinking then to have a blood test including HIV, hepa en other sexually sickness, because I had doubt that maybe the one I had for a one night stand ( that was June 09 and I get tested in October) gave me sexually diseases, I know it was stupid though I used condom.

2/2 The first test was October, and it was positive with hepa B but the rest like HIV was negative ( THANK GOD really!) then I went back in November again and the doctor said to me that I am lucky that my immune system is strong enough to fought of the said virus. Then I promise that will never commit sex no more... I am happy now to do it with myself alone.

Hep B virus is up to 100 times more infectious than HIV. Saliva can transmit Heb B virus too. HIV can't survive long outside the body, but Hep B virus can survive up to 7 days before its destruction.

Hi, i got hepatitis from a drug called Roaccutane which was prescribed to my acnees. My liver test values was high and i went to a specialist who prescribed some medicines. After 6 month everything was fine, but now after a year my test values was again high. I had hep b, c test negative. Now i takin again medicines but im still smoking. There are two types of infection. There is the acute infection and the chronic infection. The first time you get infected it is an acute infection - sometimes the body's immune system can fight of the infection. When it does you develop antibodies to the virus. It sounds like you got infected when you were younger, but your body was able to fight off the infection and develop immunity. This also means that you are NOT infectious.
It is always a good idea to limit alcohol consumption.

But still I have high ALT and AST.
I got some weight since last year (23Lb) (total of (175Lb)( still not over weight).
I am going to meet stomach specialist and CT scan.
I still pray for that ...... not to be cancer of any kind.

Hepatitis B is not a thing to be scared of today. There is vaccine. My doctor told me it is now curable.... if and only if you follow doctor's suggestion... Smoking is forbiddennnnn. No alcohol... if the anti virus is prescribed to you and you develop antibodies, then your safe. If you could visit a hepatologist as early it would be better.

I was diagnosted with Hepatitis B, I didnt have any of the synthoms mentioned...but I knew something was wrong with my liver because my eyes were yellowish....chances if you are an adult you can get up to 90% of avoid chronic hepatitis...furtunate I get rid of the virus within 3 weeks. I'm also certain that even if it was too late to be cured of H.B, and it had gone chronic, they would still be grateful if everyone else was vaccined, so they didn't have to feel like a plaguecarrier, expected to warn everyone of their condition.

You are absolutely completely correct there. Th media is run by whoever has the money. And in the US that is the pharmaceutical industry. Every five minutes there's yet another ad for drugs on TV. They finance research, pay off Dr.'s, lobby in the government, etc etc.
You'd have to be insane not to be suspicious of that.

It's a difference between regular suspicion and raving paranoia though. I'm well aware that we live in different environments with different exposure to commercialism, but annie here accusing me of being some kind of hired preacher of the medicine industry is taking things to a whole new level. -_-

When does justifiable suspicion become paranoia? I don't know myself. It's a fine line. At some point you have to trust someone. Personally I do not trust people trying to sell me something.
This video is put out by a pharma company. It's little better than an infomercial. They certainly will not say anything that will hurt sales. People need to research things for themselves and come to their own decisions about their health.

Look, "sweethearts". To be honest here, your latest posts was too long, so I didn't read them 100%. And yes, I realize medicine is about profit as well, at least in the US. I'm not going to lecture you on how business works, but if a hospital is run by a governmental agency (like most EU countries) the profit in keeping people healthy (and able to work) is much bigger than making them sicker and push more drugs on them. You sound lik a bunch of raving conspiracy nuts, and if that's the case...

Oh! I just have a sneaky suspicion that EIGR1 is paid to denounce any TRUTHS mentioned on any medium. These prostitutes will do anything to make an extra $ here & there, even if it does mean selling precious LIVES.

I wouldn't doubt that they pay people to subtly or not so subtly push their products on-line. Why not? They spend so much on Dr's why not hire some med students (or whoever) for some extra promotion.
