That's Daryl Somers and Ossie Ostrich from an Australian long-running (25 years?) variety show called Hey Hey It's Saturday. The voice-over was John Blackman. Coincidentally, they had a 10 year reunion show the week before this reply was posted. Yes, it look like the 80s.

Thats because the rivingtons wrote this song and another song called "The bird is the word" in the 60's before the trashmen and then they stole it. So this song was written before the trashmens song

l've been going to delltones concerts since 1984 every year sometimes 3 or 4 times per tour l;ve even travelled interstate from Melb just to see their shows,NEVIN was great but Danny has power do yourself a favour and see the guys live you'll be hooked.
