And it's good alternative to all that super-complicated, strangely sounding solos.

I admire skills of the best solo makers, but it's pretty annoying to listen to all of these super_awesome combinations, that lack SIMPLICITY.

In solos like Wengren's one you can feel the drums, feel that powerfull kick :P

Well Danny Carey and Mike Wengren are the greatest live drummers I've ever seen. This performance speaks for itself-- and next to Danny Carey remaining in perfect synchronization with Sash Popovic on roto toms for Triad during the Lateralus tour it won't be topped for quite some time.
