  • Can't stop this band. 0:42:33. that's fer sure

  • EPIC AND FAVORITED.

  • @MyInnerEyeMike99- Thanks SO much for posting this great concert of the FBB! They played quite a few concerts at Avalon Ballroom in San Francisco early on, one of which is their 4/6/69 concert (with a very similar set-list), on "wolfgangsvault"dot com; which is Bill Graham's personal audio/video "concert vault". Lots of great old music on there, if you haven't checked it out already. THANKS AGAIN!

  • Sweet Brother thanks for this post!!!!!!!

  • thanks for posting, great concert

  • All I can say is, since this was recorded by Owsley Stanley, on 2 successive nights that they were opening for the Grateful Dead, I get this strange feeling that The Dead gave these tapes of The Burritos a good listen or 2. They were still playing their "Live/Dead" stuff in 3/69, but by 1970, this style was not unlike thiers, albiet remaining the jam band they were.

  • @wygakyl ...good point. i wonder if maybe this was also jerry's inspiration to take up pedal steel and hook up with the new riders. peace

  • @rocco777777 yes....Jerry was NRPS' 'Sneaky Pete'!

  • Has anyone mentioned that is Hunter Thompson intro-ing the band?

  • @eigenstates

    Seriously? I didn't know that.

  • Thank you Thank you

  • Regarding "Burrito #2"-did GP steal the riff from Ritchie Furay, or did RF steal it from Graham Parsons...I thought at first it was a cover of The Buffalo Springfield's "When The Change Came"...

  • Listening to Gram sing is how I learn to sing bluegrass and country. He is perfect. I sure do miss him and Johnny Cash, to my mind the 2 great ones. I was an utter fan of Gram Parsons from the day the Sweetheart of the Rodeo album came out, and listening to him just gets better with time. All my friends heard that album and were appalled, the Byrds doing country? I said oh shut up and listen, cranked it up with high treble so they'd hear Clarence real well, and soon they all loved it.

  • @pbrick6301 maybe he just means he 'misses' him in the same respectful sense we 'miss' those who were once close to us but have now passed away. friends and relatives die. i feel a sense of loss although i haven't seen them in decades. i live far from the usa. that permanent separation between the living and the dead can give us a feeling of loss. you seem pretty intelligent to me. those who are elderly and in poor health fully understand your point, as they die and can finally rest in peace.

  • @salgoudsamoht i hear it loud clear cant be more sorry because it is okay to miss the dead. the apology is real lets move on.

  • Thanks for posting!

  • Sneaky Pete; Baptism by Pedal Steel Guitar What a gift!

  • Best live recording of my favorite Burrito lineup.

  • Percy Sledge or Gram Parsons, I just can never get past Dark end of the street. Another great post, I've never heard FBB full live performance, discovered Gram about 2 yrs ago!

  • What a rare gem this is!! Great sound with Gram singing lead. Life doesn't get much better than this! Thank you for this treasure!

  • How magnificently Pete compliments Gram.
