Oh, and Dave's voice is world's better than any member of Phish, especially Jon and Trey's. And Dave is no addict, at least as far as we know. He enjoys alcohol, but who doesn't, and it's legal. Pot aside, the DMB seems more dedicated to their music, new and old, it's just always the same, predictable versions of songs over and over again. I can only hear Ants Marching and All Along the Watchtower performed the same so many times. Thank God Dave keeps writing new songs.
Trey could never write a song about a car accident w/ such grace. Trey and Tom Marshall write what I call Alice in Wonderland lyrics at best and stoner trite lyrics at worst (Makisupa, Alaska, Divided Sky). Dave will always be an amazing writer or lyrics. His new songs have just as good of lyrics as Under the Table Dreaming of not being an Ant.
Dave is the better songwriter. Trey the better guitarist. DMB is by far tighter and far less mistakes (less sloppy), but Phish was orgasmic on their game and will never be touched by anyone, certainly not DMB. The writing is better though, I am w/ ya there. Trey is up there w/ Clapton, V. Wooten, Santana, etc. And Dave is just not on that level as far as guitar talent. I could only see the DMB 10X or so, but Phish, Pink Floyd, Clapton, etc. on their game I could see till I die.
And what is wrong with horns. I play the trumpet but not at the capacity of them. And I have been playying most my life. Why don't you just go watch your phish vids. And if you don't care for DMB quit going and seeing them. I am baffled.
losazultigre, funny how you knw most the bands names. Maybe your friends our your peers around you don't care for them. And maybe you are just not wise enough to realize the power of peeps. Funny how you watched this. Phish is alright but no longer together. There are reasons why DMB stay going. Passion for love, art and just positive thoughts. no your a moron for thinking dmbs the best live band ever ive seen dave somany times its the same thing every time he sucks he even says hes nothing special...they rely on horns for all their solos. PHISH is the best live band ever.
Dave seems a little bit uncomfortable playing this, doesn't he? And just after 2:00 he loses his guitar part for a bit, though handles it well. Great song, nice to see full band play it.

I know I'm gonna get hated on for saying this, but I think they sound better without him. I do miss him in some songs (bartneder and 2step), but sonically, the electric sounds better. How sad is it to see LeRoi at the end?
