As a Canadian I thought that this angle went a bit too far. After saying that, Brett was telling the truth. There is nothing wrong in having pride for your country but ask yourself this.......what is the difference between pride and bullying.........Americans and Canadians need to look after their own people first.........the world needs to look after itself.....Canada and the USA have been brothers in arms for 200 years.

Just an interesting note. Back in the day in Canada, Raw used to repeat every Tuesday around 3:00pm. The first time "Austin 3:16" was mentioned, on the repeat Raw the time was really 3:16. lol. Just a funny note.

@jhammaster PWI= Pro Wrestling illustrated magazine. It was the top "dirtsheet" for years and was actually somewhat respected by the industry. They had a year end awards for top good guy, bad guy, tag team, match, feud, manager etc. It was quite an honour in the business back in the day to win the award from them, and they got pictures of the guys holding the plaque regardless of the company they worked for.

@deomartinez77 It was a ploy by Vince to bury Bret, so as soon as he went to WCW, he wasn't going to let his top face leave and go to the company that was close in putting him out of business, only to make them more money. He knew if he isolated Bret from the US fanbase, as soon as he went to WCW, where they didn't have much of a Canadian base, he would have no momentum. Wouldn't be the same draw he was as a face. Vince made a genius move in terms of business, and Bret has attested to this.
