S:D was too violent for children. Its one thing to see guys flung bodily into walls & boulders. But to watch animated characters or 'real' folks get their heads twisted off is just not nessesary. Show ACTION violence. Show cool deaths. But I chose to get rid of the DVD. The sub-concious mind BELIEVEs everything it sees/hears & that can effect us long term. We can enjoy this stuff just as well w/out gore & foul-language. Cursing, overt sexuality & gore are NOT gritty realism, just free trash.
A valiant effort, though y'all could have tried doing American accents for Flash and Supergirl. Frankly, the opening narration sounded like Frank Bruno, y'know wha' I meam? Oh, and where's Pariah's cloak?
If you wanted to do a revised version, there is an audio adaptation out on CD now. You could use track from that.
But really, kudos for doing what nobody really has attempted yet (at least so far as I've seen)!
This must be a very early effort. I assume you intent to re-do it, while making use of some very good parts. Everybody is correct about 'Bring Me to Life' not fitting. This song is used WAY too much as well. I KNOW Pat Benatar's 'Invincible' would be a perfect fit for the last battles in a Crisis movie(animated). "What are we running for?--...when theres no where we can run to anymore!"/"It's a do or die situation-There is no scrifice!"/"We must stand up and face the enemy."/"We will be etc.".
@Velocity9s "Invincible" would be brilliant! Also for some reason, Madonna's "Live to Tell" strikes me as a nice moody piece to be played at Supergirl's death.
@MaskedMan66 I bit too moody and she's an anti-christian anyhow. A collosal talent for sure and very atractive. But that song dosen't quite make it. How about 'Time' by the Alan Parson's Project? "Time...flowing like a river..."/"Who knows when we shall meet again?...If ever..."/"Goodbye, my friend..." Bittersweet, yes?
I'm no fan of Madonna's, especially given her blasphemous treatment of her heritage, but there's a lot of her music that I like, and if I was to use it for a project if I thought it suited a scene, I'd use it.
I like your choice, though, especially given that Supergirl (albeit a monumentally flawed one) did appear after the Crisis. I mean besides Matrix.
Yeah, cool that you made the renders and animation on your own. I'd recommend however that you plead temporary insanity, because you'd have to be out of your mind to use this Bring Me To Life with this video, which probably took you a good deal of time to make. And while the quality of your video may not compare much to professional workings, it would be better without that overused song. If you still have the file, I'd recommend re-dubbing it and adding an instrumental piece to it.
The basics were good, the voice work is really bad, and u should use an instrumental piece of music instead of a pop song. Other than that it was pretty good. Id like to see u retry it with better technology. You obviously know the source material. Good luck
@Robtseward I need to watch "Superman: Doomsday" a third time before I make a final decision on it. I mean, as far as adapting the story from the comics, it fell far short (let's face it, you'd need at least three films to tell that tale properly!), but as a self-contained tale in a self-contained continuity it was pretty decent. And the music was superb!
xD sorry but the voice over completely wrecked it Especially the part with wonder woman xD Please never make another animation video until you have it down. I literally feel like going into a corner and crying now.
the directing is nice, but to many of the models are so poorly done, I'm just baffled at how you could considered some shots complete enough. Oh oh god, the most important story in DC comics shouldn't have a kind of muisc nobody will remember in ten years.
Thanks for commenting. This was my first time using 3D models for animating. I know I've got a long way to go before I make anything pass able. I was just pleased that I was able to give the models costumes. Sorry you don't like the music but I felt that it had the right emotion for the trailer.
Nobody will remember in ten years? Are you some kind of retard?! That's Evanescence, you prick. And don't be such a geek, the fact that the movie sucked doesn't make the song a bad one... damn.
Nobody remembers Evanescencelast week except for guys named Evan who got sick and tired of people making puns out of their name :p
And I didn't say the Daredevil movie sucked, I was just using Daredevil movie to show how the song from aforementioned movie doesn't fit with Crisis. Like how I wouldn't recycle the song from "Titanic" for a movie like "300."
The fact that the Daredevil movie sucked is entirely incidental :)
@zodberg Evanescence has lots of fans; why else do you think people keep using their music for homemade MV's and other video projects like this one? "Bring Me to Life" wasn't written for the DD film (which I enjoyed, by the way), it was just used in it. It isn't as if it's a Marvel property that can't be used in a DC project.
Thanks for the feedback. It took a few months to put together but luckily I had a few friends to help out with the voice acting. I may do some more comic related trailers when I have time.
A Classical music score would be better. With some modern composers mixed in too, like Phillip Glass.

Why do people use these DUMB "Rock/Rap" songs? It's not 1998 anymore!
IHS7 2 years ago
''Bring Me to Life'' came out in 2003 bozo. And there is no rap involved in Evanescence songs.

I wish those at DC would make this movie only if they do it right. Please, don't do such a shoddy job like was done on Superman Doomsday. (shudder)

But... it's the music they used in the Daredevil movie. DAREDEVIL. Daredevil wasn't even invited to Secret Wars.
