@ShadowXtrem420 Amazing how R.O.B. bundled with the NES still works after 25 years, yet the average life-span of an Xbox 360 is less than 3 years. Usually they RROD well before that. I guess it's true when they say, "They don't make 'em like they used to."
@crazykidsdad Yes plenty of other games such as Wild Gunman, Gumshoe, Gotcha! the sport, operation wolf, two unlicenced nes zapper games: Chiller and Baby Boomer and games that have bonus stages or special levels that are compatible with the zapper such as Bayou Billy and Track and Field II and there is a couple more that I missed as well.
check out my listing on amazon for an action set just like this! search NES ACTION SET, look at the "new" ones, KarmaKing is priced to sell, waaay cheaper than the rest, great condition just like this one with all the plastic baggies and poster and all... email through amazon for pictures!
i remember when i was 5yrs and i had a NES and a 64 no one said nothing about graphic. those games were actually fun, but now i can't see myself playing these again
@ManOWar2Red master drive? first true Sega console 16 bit? Sega's first true console outside of Japan was 8 bit, and it was the Master System. Later came the 16 bit Mega Drive AKA Genesis.
although mine was a hand me down from my cousin..i didnt have all that..she gave me the controllers..gun and duck hunt...no robot and the other little stuff with it
The average price for this package was around $300 at the time. Crazy huh. We still pay around $300 for the "new" systems. But someday you will see an old commercial for it too.
Basically, give you a seizure with flashing screens that sent him instructions on what to do, like moving its arms up, down, etc. according to the two games it was compatible with, Gyromite and some other I forgot the name.
"..Be the one to play with R.O.B batteriesnotincluded he helps you tackle even the toughest challenges" I love how they say that in the middle of the sentence xD
NES accessory. It was used in some games like gyromyte to help you solve puzzles. it would respond to lighting configuration from the T.V. whith accurate movements, unless if the batteries were dying. I wasnt born in the 80's and its funny how i know this and i dont even have friends who had a R.O.B.
I got one of the first NES and it included gyromite, ROB,duckhunt and the light gun. I had to purchase Super mario bros. separately. Rob was garbage. they added ROB basically so they could sell to 'toy' stores. On gyromite, you had to hit select for each movement.select, move down, select move arm right. Playing the game was impossible. BTW rob stands for Robotic operating buddy.
Remember the Power Pad? That thing was awesome. My cousin crapped in his pants while we were using it play Track and Field. He was having so much fun, he didn't want to leave to go and take a dump. Anyways, we were doing the 100 yard dash event and the turd fell out of his shorts while he was running in place. My uncle beat the crap out of him for disrespecting the 'Pad.
I love the power glove... it's so bad. -Quoth the Wizard
Actually, the Power Glove was complete garbage. I remember watching a Nintendo rep using it to play Mike Tyson's Punch Out during a sponsored demo for the glove's release at Toys R Us. He got his ass beat hard by Glass Joe because the glove's sensors and control were so chitty. I don't think they sold too many units that day. -1 for the Power Glove.
If you think that's something, you oughtta check out the Angry Video Game Nerd's review of the Glove. He couldn't beat Glass Joe, either...... but accomplished an impossible task with it. What, exactly? Well, you'll just have to watch and find out. ;-)
Damn I played all those games back in the day! LOL! The set I had didn't have the robot though, it just had the zapper and the Super Mario Bros/Duck Hunt combo. You can't beat classic Nintendo!
Yeah, bach in the day you got games, game controlers, and other stuff with you game system. Nowadays you spend hundreds for a box that does nothing intil you spend hundreds more.
I got Nintendo in 1987 with ROB the robot. It costed 250 bucks which was insane back then. The Robot spun these little gyros and it opened and closed the pillars on the Gyromite game
Rob the robot was I think only for the game Gyromyte. That game was not that fun either... Maybe there were more games Rob could play I broke mine not long after I had it lol
