Shell omitted details on the start of the onshore pipeline, which has the highest pressure -345bar A totally new Quantitative Risk Assessment required, that shows risk
at the different locations and operating conditions along the route Incomplete information on 'building burn distances & escape distance
No assessment of the 'societal risk' to people at Glengad has been carried out.
'Major hazard pipelines' (transporting wet gas) have not been properly legislated for in this country
I'd love to know what went on during the secret unofficial meetings the then Minister Ray Burke had with Shell during the negotiations over the Corrib Gas Field here in Ireland. Given Mr Burke's criminal record of corruption I dread to think what secret deal he struck with Shell that makes our Government feel compelled to give away our natural resources for little return..
last week Serica announced that their drilling had been successful and one of their licensed blocks (near Corrib) could be commercial. This means it holds millions of dollars worth of natural gas. No royalty will be charged and none of the gas will belong to the people of Ireland.
i cant think of better music to these images - excellent, im shaking my head - great video - Rated
