  • This sketch scared me as a child. Watching it now, I really can't say why.

  • Very nostalgic. I first seen it nearly 30 years ago and it made me laugh ever since. I wander if that could be ex-president George Bush the last one before Obama took over is just like Pinocchio. could be .

  • Stop your nose, I wanna get off!!!!

  • did anyone ever notice that pretty much the only thing he's truthfull about is that his name is Pinocchio ?

  • This one used to scare the bejeezus out of me, too! It's just creepy.

  • Poor Kermie. He should have known better at the end though.

  • "I am a thousand million years old and I can lick Superman!"

  • I always loved seeing Kermit in his little hat and suit when I was a kid.

  • "I put the sun in my pocket!" hilarious! :)

  • Too funny! So much creativity went into these back then!

  • Pinocchio as George W. Bush

  • i have another one: Pinocchio as Heather from Total Drama Island! ever watch it?

  • Hahaha! The shelf collapsing on Kermit and his falling are priceless. I hadn't seen this in about 30 years. I've got to show this to my 8-year-old niece who is now discovering classic Sesame Street and loves the Kermit News Flash segments as much as I do. Many thanks, jonnytbirdzback.

  • LOL!! You're killing me with these Kermit's News Flashes!!

  • LMAO!! This was hilarous! One of my favorite Kermit News Flash ones. These classic moments never go out of style.

  • The nose pushed Kermit till he was hanging on his nose past a clif & when the puppet told the truth kermit had no none to hang on & fell down after the nose pasted the clif

  • That was great! My name is Cinderella and for breakfast I ate two dragons! LMAO! Great stuff! Could somebody please post the Mary Had A Little Lamb skit? Thank you! :)

  • Even tough smoking weed days are done, this always made me laugh. Even with no enhancements.

  • i love kermit right at the beginning after the title card

  • Lincoln was the tallest president, but he wasn't 500 feet. Even with the hat.

  • Liar liar, pants on fire

Your nose is longer than a telephone wire

Ask me, baby, why I'm blue

I'm just a frog with a job to do

If you keep on telling me those lies

I'm gonna fall right from the skies

  • I remembered this and it is funny.

  • i love his lies from 2:13 on. actually, the whole skit is brilliant

  • OMG!!! I really haven't seen this since it first aired. LOVE IT!!!

  • I haven seen this one in about 20 years. I almost forgot about it!

  • No shit it was scary . . . man, this freaked the hell out of me when I was a kid. (Early Eighties was when I saw it, in reruns obviously.) Shades of Nixon, anybody?

  • that was funny, i don't remember this news flash at all but i am glad you posted it.

  • it would have been funny but sick if it was his dick that grew instead of his nose, hahaha

  • What if the nose gets in Kermit's mouth?

  • Well, then boogers will get in there.Hahah

  • LOL!!!

  • i love this one "first i swallowed a whaaaale, then i turned orange and yellow and greeeeeeen!

  • I really like it when Kermit wears his hat so you could only see his eyeballs.

  • The best!!!! "My name is Cinderella and I ate a dragon for breakfast"

  • I totally remember this. Did the guy who did Bert do Pinochio too. It sounds like Bert.

  • Yes he did. Frank Oz was Pinocchio.

  • Yes

  • I don't see why Kermit couldn't've simply moved when the nose started growing insted of just backing up.

  • Kermit to the cameraman at start:

"You better take a wide picture because his nose grows, and you don't want to blow it-- the picture, not the NOSE"

    LMAO!!

I didn't get this at first, and when I did after hearing it again, it was hilarious!!

I wouldn't want to blow a 100+ foot long nose either. Think how much mucus build-up that would be! ;-)

  • hahahaha toooo much lies!

  • I like the ending. "This is Kermit the Fro--AAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!"

  • I love that part. This was my most favorite news flash as a child.

  • after kermit fell off the cliff. He sued pinocchio in a deleted news flash. He had every bone in his body broken.

  • Awesome..love watching the classics!

  • Talk about a nose job of MOMNUMENTAL proportions!

  • Wow, you're good! I couldn't have come up with a better pun than that!

  • Yea. I still wish someone would upload the Alice in Wonderland news flash. That was my favorite from childhood and I've been looking for it everywhere

  • anyone have the one with suzane farrel?

  • I didn't really like any of those, but they just recently posted the "Alice In Wonderland" one on youtube.

  • One outlandish tall tale sounding thing he could truthfully say is, "Once my nose grew over 300 feet long!"

  • Thank you so much for bringing this video back to us. Can somebody please reupload the Mary Had A Little Lamb and The London Fog sketches? I missed those. Ah, the memories of Sesame Street. Thanks again. :)

  • I did have The London Fog but I'll be happy to bring it back up.

  • Do you have the one when Kermit interviews the "genie in the lamp" or "the mirror mirror on the wall" segments

  • I would love to see the original version of the "Mirror, Mirror" news flash. Here are some others I'd like to see.

    The Shoemaker and the Elves

    Old Mother Hubbard

    Humpty Dumpty

Rainy Day (The one with Telly and his sister, Mona)

    Princess and the Cookie

Any of the ones with Dr Nobel Price

That's all I could think of right now.

  • One of my all-time favorite News Flash skits. Frank Oz seemed to always play the main fairy tale characters in these skits.

  • I love this one-classic!
