@smartbroke It might be too late now, but to make text on premiere like what you said you would probably want a border along your video. I'm not exactly sure how, but look it up in youtube or google; "Border in premiere" or something similar to that. From what I hear it's pretty easy.

Nope, it's not the soundcarc. It works with some filetypes and for the .avi ones I solved it by saving the sound using VirtualDub, and adding it apart.

@Senjan if you capture films to the computer from the tape directly, make sure the sound on the camera is on, the mic is working and in the capture options, it says either "audio, video, or audio and video" those three options will allow you to capture what you want :P

Gahhh this is the second tutorial of yours that I've seen where you call the program "Adobe." Its distracting when people say that when they're working in Photoshop, and its distracting here too. It's not ADOBE, it's called PREMIERE. Who cares? Well, since there are times when you're going to want to pull in things from After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator and Flash, it might help to refer to them in a way that others can understand.

quality vid.... Could u tell us how much this program costs roughly. Ive got a shed load of vids from usc 2008 n vw action 2008 n I wanna make a compelation. The only program I have is windows movie maker, n it sucks serious balls.

I got a good deal of rebates on this product because I have a family member that works with adobe.. but I believe Premiere CS4, is $800 so unless you are doing serious work I really don't recommend buying it.. you can get many other programs like Ulead that are alot cheaper

oh also, you can buy Adobe Premiere Elements, which is a little bit dumbed down but not to bad and it's certainly cheaper..

Also Sony Vegas is nice as well and cheaper than Premiere.

Ya I've used Vegas, it's not my favorite I prefer this more, mostly because I know the hot key and can work with this much faster.
