*Against the Mining tax & raking in millions from the Mining Industry

  • @se7ve7ns You can try to put down, belittle or deny the existence of people who are same sex attracted but do you think anybody else here cares? All you are is a living, typing reminder of the minority of ignorant, hateful people who will one day look back to see the hatred they harbored for so long amounted to nothing. People like you are loosing ground to reformed laws and policies that embrace diversity and equality. All you do is give those of us who want a fairer world greater determination.

  • @se7ve7ns You can argue with me and other people over youtube in as many comment feeds as you want, but at the end of the day I exit my browser and go on with my life assured that what i believe in will one day see people who have nothing wrong with them, and who are victims of hate from people like you, will one day be held back by nobody but themselves. Only 36% of Australians oppose same sex marriage and yet you still sit behind your computer screen saying being same sex attracted is wrong?

  • @se7ve7ns you want to know what my perception of the world is? I believe the world unfortunately and unjust place because the the antiquated attitudes of people who are hateful and ignorant. People who want to see change in this world to make it a fairer place have always had to fight for it whether it was the right of equality in the workplace, the right to be recognized as a citizen in your own country, or the right to marry whoever you want regardless of race.

  • How, precisely, would one consummate a same sex union?

I have yet to hear a credible account of an adequate state interest in ssm. Since decriminalizing the 'perverse' like 'porn', it usually comes down to either an ad hoc argument from epidemiology or a tacit assumption that "equality" itself is the state interest. But equality applies only if you know what the thing sought is.Living men don't have an equal right to funerals; for the living, we have "roasts" and festschrifts."

  • eg; In the U.S.

This support for the traditional view of marriage is evident in the fact that in 31 states voters have supported amendments that define marriage as only between a man n a woman. In all the places where same-sex marriage has been legalized it was done by judges or legislators,n not by the public.

WHO NEEDS SCIENCE or MORALS or ETHICS or LOGIC, when you got all the 'gifted' corrupt lawyers 'gifting' corrupt judges to get WHATEVER you WANT only if you got the MONEY for it

  • What I find hilarious is the amount of homophobic people who seek out all these gay related videos and pass comment.

I dont run around and look for religious material and then pass my judgement.

I know I know none of you are homophobic but you just think gay love in unnatural, immoral and wrong. But you are totally fine with gays. Some of your comments are very helpful to our cause - your distain for gay people shows the community the urgent need for change.

  • Btw apologies for misspelling his name...

  • He certainly did and you should be VERY proud...

  • I still love watching this video.

This question from ymdad has put gay marriage equality firmly on the national agenda. Well done Dad. x

  • it doesnt matter if you accept it or not. its happening everywhere. deal with it. religion is poison. taught to live with weak narrow minds.

  • Dignity and respect??? This tossa's full of it.. chockers!

  • @SapperK9 "Alan bond was a painter... "

    wrong Bond,

actually the Alan Bond I was on about was a signwriter b4 criminal.

so we both got it wrong...... though gottasay, you were way closer.

  • Se7ve7ns- so by that thinking because I have no aboriginies in my family we shouldn'tve allowed them to get married and the referendum in the 70's was wrong??

  • @hypacore NOPE, Aborigines are not a "lifestyle", they are a race of people. So not really a good analogy or comparison for that fact.

  • @hypacore what referendum?

you get this reply late, b/c you made a little booboo with the reply, I hope the booboo wasn't deliberate

  • @se7ve7ns how do you know Gwen Coniker doesn't have closeted relatives? oh wait you don't....

  • @crowie94 oh...yes I do.. she was a great grandmother of 68 and great grandmother of 2(and counting)children at her passing in 2003, and not a single homosexual or whateversexual, closet or otherwise to be found...

  • @se7ve7ns really you used your magical powers to reveal their true sexual orientation? Or did you ask God to help you out?

  • @crowie94 no buddy, just a little extensive research on a very impressive family... looks to me like they did a lot of ask God stuff, and got a heap more than they bargained for... as is the way with love, particularly God's love..

  • @se7ve7ns you still can't tell me how you know that none of those people were gay? Because you really don't

  • @crowie94 I can only tell you what I know, ...unlike what you can only merely imply(and what you imply, at this point can only be regarded as unfounded slander), if you have any materiel to suggest otherwise, please.. put up or shut up.

  • @crowie94 and you can much less imply that any were or are, so what is the point of continuing you slander of someone you don't know...?

  • @se7ve7ns The difference is I'm not saying any of them are or aren't, I'm just not making assumptions

  • @crowie94 and nor am I making assumptions.. but you imply that I am

    "Because you really don't"

    "oh wait you don't...."

I wouldn't say anything else about you I didn't know to anyone unless I had something factual (your suggestions were implicit but bearly feasible, n can only be assumed as attempted slander. You imply that any infidelity to this family should justify your argument about ssm, should you not be looking for 'better' examples than failures?) ...

  • @se7ve7ns All I am saying is that you can't say "Gwen Coniker, mother of 13, grandmother of 68+, great grandmother of 2+. Not one homosexual among them. Statistical/factual ratio; 83hetero individuals." because unless they have changed the definition recently that is an assumption.

  • @crowie94 –noun

1.something taken for granted; a supposition: a correct assumption.

    2. the act of taking for granted or supposing.

    3. the act of taking to or upon oneself.

so, at what point do you suggest that an 'assumption' would be 'elevated' to a level of a certain 'fact'? (guilty until innocent or vice versa?)

As what have said is what I know, after having researched with all available info.. I have found nothing to suggest otherwise to any inconsistancy of integrity.

  • @se7ve7ns 'the act of taking for granted or supposing'

    Suppose:

Assume that something is the case on the basis of evidence or probability but without proof or certain knowledge

  • big eared bastard. millions of gays worldwide. we arnt going anywhere :)

  • @CamJamSam13 not "going anywhere"? oooh I don't know about that, ..... we are all going somewhere, believe it or not, at the end of the day, We ALL go somewhere.

  • one day i was at work (big australia retailer) and two customers were discriminating gays, then half way through their conversation ask for my help and said i was such a nice young man for helping them, was also unnoticed to them a fag, dumb arse homophobes bahaha

  • @CamJamSam13 Well, ..... Cam, I love homosexuals as much as I love the rest of the human race, we are all God's creation, and I have a 'good' repoire with most of them, they all know where I stand, sodomy on male or female is wrong. And I could recall a similar story for you, though the discriminatory part, in the context you appear to have had, did not happen, out of mutaul respect. After have major hassles with all the female crappers, it was the man that fixed it all, not the homosexual.

  • @se7ve7ns gods not real. its an illusion created to relax the minds of the weak. the big picture? when we die. we are stone cold dead. ant food. thats kinda why deaths so sad. thats reality. enjoy life. make memories

  • @CamJamSam13 The belief that there is no God is just as strong as a belief that there is one. Perhaps your disbelief shows a fear of having to stand accountable for your actions and control yourself occasionally? Being awful to those who believe in God is just as bad as hating gays.

If you hadn't already guessed I'm a catholic, and I find death just as sad as anyone, but at I have my weak hope to cling to that there's something else to live for, other than just myself.

  • @Gooblyful there is no spirit you fool. take a few science lessons hey? Christianity is a cult created by some superstitious wackjob way back when. Just like every other religion has its own. Fact theres nothing to live for once your dead, that why life is so precious, you live once. Millions of gays around the world and there told by some book that the life their living is a sin??? can you not see how pathetic it all is ? seriously??????

  • Also, if you believe in that God, as I do, you have to follow the Bible, which states that. It's not pathetic, it's just something you don't agree with. I don't hate gays and never will but I cannot accept gay love as 'natural'

  • Also, if you believe in that God, as I do, you have to follow the Bible. It's not pathetic, it's just something you don't agree with. I don't hate gays and never will but I cannot accept gay love as 'natural'. the problem with you and so many others is that you can't accept that to understand the ideas behind belief you first have to have faith; scientists are just as much in the dark as everyone else on that point.

  • the order is this: belief in God, then in the Bible.

OOOOKKKKK, now I'm not going to rant any more.

  • Comment removed

  • @CamJamSam13 He doesn't say 'go away gays'; you've missed his point. What he says is that marriage, a sacrament recognised under most Church's teachings as a religious ceremony, is not appropriate for gay people as these churches generally have in their beliefs things that acknowledge 'gay' acts as sinful (this doesn't translate into 'kill all gays') . You can't ignore the rules of your belief system, no matter who it annoys; that's why you can choose to follow these faiths or not.

  • Damn I love this video. Thnx so much for posting. Hugely proud of my dad for having the courage to do this.

  • I wonder if Jeff ever introed his son to 'Silent No More : Ex-Gays speak up'

  • @se7ve7ns:

The scientific community's opinion on the issue of homosexuality is that it is not out of the norm and its cause is inconclusive at best.

Any attempts to change it will result in an eradication of self identity, which only leads to further self endangerment and suicidal tendencies.

If you don't know any gay individuals, please SHUT UP because your ignorance on this issue is revolting and reeks of Nazism.

  • @treetri88 I do know more than I should've and you can hear what you want and make excuses for what ever 'you want' PRIDE is the hardest thing to overcome, and i used to be proud of a lot of thing I did, and was blind and deaf to the truth. But that is in the past, I am a very happy chappy. I love everyone, I have just learned that I don't like the things I used to do, & those that do it today ‎"Right is right even if no one is doing it; wrong is wrong even if everyone is doing it."St Augustine

  • @treetri88 well if you say that homosexuals are prone to suicide, then that should tell you something is wrong, and needs to be addressed, and I don't think a materiel acceptance of social status on a bit of paper to wed, or for that fact anything that way, is the cure. Except to those with selfish n financial interest.

The father here was at his wits end, and gave up trying to help, he just 'wanted' his son to accept him, for all the wrong reasons.

  • @se7ve7ns

Considering that there are few on these pages conveying homophobia, I note your thumbs up with supreme interest. Been using your other accounts here to bolster your views with false notion pertaining to ad populum?

Are the false thumbs from non-existent supporters, metaphor for your non-existent social circle.

This is Australia, few true Australians are homophobic, and the minuscule number who are, only purvey such for fear of appearing gay themselves.

    False thumbs= loser fail.

  • Well said Jeff Thomas..

  • from a UN thing called Universal Declaration of Human Rights

    Article 16 says:

    (1) Men and women of full age, without any limitation due to race, nationality or religion, have the right to marry and to found a family. They are entitled to equal rights as to marriage, during marriage and at its dissolution.

Don't know if you would call it law, but definitely a universal understanding.

Did Jeff say he was a plumber, old saying goes 'never trust a plumber'.

    Remember Alan Bond? :-)

  • @se7ve7ns This says that men and women have the right to marriage which nobody has disputed and neither have gay people said that they shouldn't. Gay people aren't trying to be exclusive about it all and you should also note that this DOESN'T say that same sex couples DON"T have the right to marry as well which IS what we are debating here. You have a taken a very small section of a declaration, literally quoted it out of context AND tried to imply that it excludes gay people.

  • @global001 But the homosexual people are trying to be 'exclusive', they are creating a provision of exclusiveness because they are unable to fulfil that part of the institution of 'marriage' that provides for procreation. Once again, it is purely about the word 'marriage' in its full context that is being bandied and abused,

Because it DOESN'T DOESN'T mean that it DOES! So, where does the buck stop?

Create a word that is appropriate to the union, and leave this one to its understanding.

  • @se7ve7ns

    1. Some married homosexuals procreate.

    2. Some married heterosexuals do not procreate.

    3. Some homosexuals marry the opposite gender and procreate.

These notions in combined with the fact that homosexuals do not rally to absolve heterosexual marriage rights, nullifies your nonsensical diatribe: regarding homosexual demands for exclusivity. The fact that some gays also reproduce and raise children from within heterosexual union also makes your unintellectual notions moot.

  • @se7ve7ns That first paragraph doesn't even make sense. Gay people have never excluded heterosexual from marriage its the complete reverse.

As I've already stated the UN declaration quite clearly doesn't exclude gay people.

I've made my points clear and I'd appreciate it if you'd stop messaging me about this.

  • @se7ve7ns Alan bond was a painter...

  • Gays are disgusting... Why do they have to go through the back door? Why not the front door?? What's wrong with the front door?

  • @cssftw100 Gays aren't disgusting, gay people are happy people, it's sodomy that is disgusting, I think that is what you meant

  • This is wonderful,...... if Tony loses this election..... he still wins......... he has a louder voice than he ever had before. Labor lost 16seats, Liberal lost 2. The guy did more than was expected from a guy with big ears and scungies!

    Congradulations Mr Abbott

  • Why the fuck should the status of "being a vietnam veteran" matter at all?

In Australia, you were selected for Vietnam (after a certain point) by your birth date, and nothing else. War should not exist, and the fact that we idolise people who murder others is a fucking joke. The people we should be idolising are the revolutionaries who protested this kind of conscription.

Regardless, Tony Abbot is a moron of the highest order and I worry for the country if he becomes Prime Minister

    What a joke.

  • @ihasmario angry little chappy aren'tcha? Completely agree with your opinion on this Viet Vet's kitchen hand history and the dicey repute of being a 'plumber'. I feel sympathy for his misunderstanding of placement to what he calls 'ignorance'. But I disagree with you about Tony: No 'moron' is in the 'highest order', as the definition of the word 'moron' is in between 'idiot' and 'imbecile', whose IQs are graded less than 50.

I like Tony for his principles; family, dignity and respect for humans.

  • @se7ve7ns What about his respect for the homosexual community? The argument against the support of gay marriage is that "marriage is defined as between man and woman".

History remembers a time where people of "colour" were classified as sub-human. History also remembers the time when Australia was classified Terra Nullius.

I'm not particularly angry, but Tony's policies are terrible and outdated as is his wireless plan.

Although I expect labor to form government, Tony had a great campaign.

  • @ihasmario ..and abortion used to be illegal, now the killing of innocents is a fad of convenience. even the Romans of old in their mercilessness had a pet hate of killing children their barbarian enemies took so casually into their rites. Now, we are 'gods'

Found no evidence of legal same sex 'union' adopted by any society, just something someone did to satisfy a deviat 'urge' or 'curiosity' and regarded as deviat "sexual act", nothing more. Thousands of years later, today they want more.

  • @se7ve7ns A piece of silk is not a dress, and a zygote is not a person. You should probably get that through your head before you start talking about abortion.

Rights have been improved for mothers. Homosexuals deserve an improvement in their rights to marry, if not for the psychological benefits, then for the benefits to taxation.

  • @ihasmario and a person is not a dress made of silk. I am not God to say when a 'life" is and is not. Even science is unable to establish that, it only provides codified words for each stage of development of the human.

Rights for mothers have been abused also, by not being given the full picture. eg. The high rate of post abort-trauma has been given the soft touch so the almighty dollar keeps multiplying.

Homosexual deserve the same rights, to the full truth, not just scientific opinion.

  • VOTE 1 - Jeff Thomas :)

What a breath of fresh air. If only more parents were like you Jeff!

Bravo mate! Keep making a difference and keep speaking up!

  • The politicians are going about this all wrong. They approach the question of same-sex marriage as though it is somehow a religious/faith question. It clearly isn't!! It is only a question of religion when someone wants to get married in a church or similar counterpart. Otherwise same-sex marriage is a purely secular matter. The only question they should b asking themselves: "Is the current Law fair, just and serves equality?" Faith/Religion doesn't enter into it...AT ALL!!

  • @spesheddy17 The word 'marriage' has a meaning, a definition, and more importantly; a context. Why is the word 'marriage' used so 'religiously' by the homosexual community?? Faith/Religion does enter into it, because of the 'faith' and 'religion' of the secular and atheistic ideals. This is an inseperable human factor, be it material or spiritual. We all have a choice, a religion with God, or a religion without God, ...your choice. Every choice has consequences.

  • @se7ve7ns I agree buddy, the word 'marriage' does have a meaning, a definition and a context. All of which are created by US. As a result the meaning of the word has changed and evolved countless times of the generations. Also the word 'marriage' is used so 'religiously' by the homosexual community because history has also taught us that the concept of 'separate yet equal' doesnt work. Homosexuals want to be able to marry because they want the EXACT SAME rights as heteros. Nothing more or less.

  • @spesheddy17 Exakaly...... maybe next time I get an 'urge' I should go for rights that serve that 'urge'. And in this world, you never know ....... :-) Love your common sense, God bless, and enjoy the life you were meant to enjoy

  • @se7ve7ns I'm sorry, what are you referring to as an 'urge' exactly? Science has proven that homosexuality isn't a choice and occurs naturally in other species. But I suppose someone with your worldview is unable to get there head around ideal of the scientific method. Am glad you like my common sense so far it has served me well. It tells me that in any case, if I were homosexual and wanted to get married in no way does my marriage affect you in ANY way!

  • @spesheddy17 I would suggest that science 'suggests' that homosexuality is behaviour that 'appears' to be 'borne' and not actually IS. Science is not an exact entity.

urge; impulse, sensation, emotional reaction, temptation, as in; outlet to anger, theft, lust, sadness, hunger etc

my worldview is principally from experience(as in been there, done that)

nothing anyone does necassariy has immediate effects on anyone else, but that is no guarantee of any butterfly effect.

  • @se7ve7ns I just replied to another one of your comments. After reading this, I feel it would be fruitless to engage in discussion with you, so you can disregard.

  • Comment removed

  • @se7ve7ns There's my point, blazing brightly

  • @spesheddy17 in my view, with experience, homosexuality has a choice, whether to go with that 'urge' or resist it(the 'urge' is harder for some than others). And as humans, that discipline is one of the characteristics what makes us different to the rest of the living creatures here.

  • @se7ve7ns And what experience, might I ask, is this?

  • wat gives him the right to decide is gay marriage should of b legal? with the constant debate and unsolved arguments, y not just hold a referendum and solve it fair and square. but seriously if we hav to result to that, it just proves how ignorant and conservative we are

  • @Hazor69 what gives him 'the right'? The authority as an elected member of the people. But I must agree with you, and I have posted many times the same suggestion, .... put it to the people, the 22mil, and not the micro 220 thumbtwidlers in the office, all it would take is one extra bit of paper in the ballot, and under 10mil to sort out this problem.

find it odd though that you put 'ignorant' and 'conservative' together, that's like putting 'military' and 'intelligence' together.

  • i don't give a toss what politicians think about my life as a gay man. unfortunately, for some reason or another, they're in control of my personal life which is the biggest insult and ONLY issue here. never mind what people think personally on the subject. my right has been taken. let's stop people with large moles from being able to drive cars. same rationalising.

  • Ignorance, the root n the stem of every evil. - Plato

and they called Plato ignorant in the forum

  • save the future of australian internet, it is simple VOTE LABOR

    who doesn't want better internet????????

  • i think that "marriage" in general is simply a christian traditionalist label and thus should be seen as only that. people can have a committed, loving and long term relationship without being "married". marriage itself has always been romanticised and this can disillusion people from the reality of their relationship. I'm not gay myself so i won't pretend to know what its like, but me personally, i don't want to get "married" but i DO want to have a kids in a long-term/committed relationship :)

  • Comment removed

  • @a2z303 excellent example, defacto is a choice, and this country as legal as being married inasfaras necassary entitlements go.But if you really are that 'long term/ committed", the 'act' one does to prove that to the one he/she loves, is to marry. The definition and due context of the word means complete and utter commitment with a clear monogomous fidelity, and not to forget the essence of marriage it self to produce offspring galore. Love is a decision, not just emotion.

  • @se7ve7ns:

Gay marriage just further promotes monogamy. The essence of "marriage" is to produce offspring galore? REALLY? Then let's ban vasectomized men from getting married, let's bring in legislation demanding that all couples without children have their marriage dissolved (as an incentive), let's ban marriage for post-menopausal women and elderly people since they are clearly no longer conducive to reproduction.

  • I'm a christian and I don't think that religion should be the basis for the argument. By saying that marriage is between a man and a woman based on chrstian history, you might as well say atheists can't marry.

You are still a person no matter who you love, your childhood dreams of someday getting married don't change. Marriage means a hell of a lot to those getting married but what does it mean to those opposing? nothing really, it just makes them uncomfortable.

  • let gay people suffer in marriage like the rest of the world. I think it is only fair they get to wake up in 5 years and want to stick a pillow on their wife/husbands head >.> lets give them the same chances that hetrosexual people have... it is only fair and as an Australia I think everyone is allowed a fair go.

  • he's such bullshit! he's all talk about "agreeing" about pro-gay marriage (btw thumbs for that guy and his gay son) but its all crap so he can con u into voting for him. p.s to all you ignorant retards, the definition of "marriage" is "a close and intimate union" and if Kyle and Jackie-O can MARRY two dogs that LITERALLY don't giv a shit about each other, we stop two people who LOVE each other from marriage. stop making up bullshit!

  • @Hazor69 wow the hate. Mate, Marriage by common law is the union of a man and a woman. This is because hte law is based on the christian faith. is this right - thats neither here nor there, people are allowed their values.

This is not an argument of correct. If people wanted this issue to be solved a middle ground would need to be found. the marriage of dogs as mentioned is a farce, it makes the whole union, be it gay or straight rediculas. open your mind and think.

  • why do we need to change the definition of marriage? Why can the government (middle gound here lads) make a option for Gay Couples to be joined in a union. this would give them all the rights of marriage, but they would be joined in union not marriage. This would mean there is no conflict with religions, or other acts which rely on the marriage act. and it would allow the gradual change of society opposed to hte sudden change that causes the disagreement.

  • @darkduckable sorry I was new to Youtube and posted the same comment 3 times..../facepalm

  • @darkduckable Mate - you cant have two systems for different citizens. Its life having a different system for asians or black people.

Why dont we have civil union and marriage open to both gay and straight people.

    Many churches allow gay marriage.

Its inevidtable. Gay marriage will be allowed shortly. Its not going to ruin the world.

  • The difference is, Abbott being a Liberal member is ALLOWED to freely express his own opinion... like all Liberal party members are..

Unlike Labor, where you are FORCED to toe the party line... Which is why Lesbian Penny Wong Isn't Allowed to Stand up for Gay Marriage. If she was a liberal member SHE COULD!!!

  • @pugghead please what a load of crap. Take of the rose coloured glasses champ.

  • @jamos19 ok ... Cross the ALP party floor and see what happens you fucken boso

  • LABOR have been in POWER for 3YEARS and done NOTHING to allow Gay and Lesbians to Marry!!!!

  • @ubereemfedor1

But they have done a lot of bringing the law up to scratch in many other ways. Right to criticise the reluctance to take this step, but also, credit where credit is due.

  • I find you dishonest Mr Abbott.

  • You know, somtimes I wonder how someone as backwards as Tony Abbott can get it, and then I see these appalling YouTube comments...and suddenly I remember how many hateful, closed-minded people are still out there.

  • and am all for moving forward, but carefully & sensibly.. issues need to be discussed carefully...

  • My good sir, i do not come on youtube as a keyboard warrior. You assert the true issue is the ETHICS of what a homosexual couple would teach to a child. I myself and others have replied to you, that a homosexual couple are either fit to raise a child or their not, just as a straight couple,a single parent or mixed variety of caregivers would be.

Also marriage is not only a religious thing, its also a Legal thing. Married couples have certain rights that defacto couples do not have.

  • @K4kaShiii Also, the act of allowing homosexuals to marry is one that will teach kids acceptance and tolerance.

  • as stated before.. the real issue is about raising a child.. yes a very controversial topic, which is why it it rarely raised in the debate of gay marriage... fact is marriage is a religious ceremony and the the church demonizes homosexuality, so its convenient to use that as the argument.. the THE issue, my personal opinion is its a controversial issue that people feel very passionate about... i am currently living in a very homophobic country who have just recently legalized gay marriage..

  • @narcotect as stated by others sexual orientation does not have anything to do with raising a child the same way race, skin colour and age don't. I think you need to understand that there is nothing wrong with the "ethics" of a couple being gay. The child isn't going to be turned gay. And if the child was gay by coincidence there is nothin wrong. Being gay is like being straight, you don't choose it. It's part of who you are. It does not change how you drive a car, how you get along with your f

  • @rinseandstack - again like the other jockstrap who commented here.. I stated what the true issue is.. and no matter what you believe the fact is.. its an issue.. right? fuckin hell, raise a point and some people think are making an argument.. the FACT is the issue is raising a child.. my personal opinion I haven't stated, so before you put me in a side.. why not fuckin ask me?

  • Agreed

  • God bless that man who asked the question, he's a legend. As for Abbot, well, he's useless. I can't believe he could be our next PM.

  • at the end of the day, the real issue isnt about that couple tying the knot.. its about the raising of a child that is the true issue. I dont think anyone really gives a fuck what 2 people do in the privacy of their own home.. but its the ethics of what is taught to a child by 2 gay guys or 2 gay girls... its one of those debates like abortion where no matter which way it goes people will never be happy as their are strong arguments on both sides....

  • @narcotect What are you on about? your classifying homosexuals as if they'd bring up a child wrong.. im sorry thats just not right, people are either fit to be a parent/caregiver or their not SIMPLE as that.. sexual orientation is not an issue with that..

As for debates about abortion, pro CHOICE has the better arguments, pro life is tied to stupid religious dogma. And everyone knows Religious arguments have been debunked, rebutted, ownd w.e u want to call it for a while now.

  • @K4kaShiii - I knew some dickhead would get all hot under the collar and not read the comment.. I stated THAT is the issue, not my personal opinion.. some people are so hot for an argument they speak before thinking...

  • moto

  • i hope libs win there paying 4 dollers to the doller over the ALPs 1.30 to the doller.. 30 bucks for libs to win GO ABBOT U CUNT i want christmas to come EARLY BOOYEHH

  • Just let them fuck and marry, god damn.

  • Forget fucking gays, FUCK IGNORANCE and fucking idiots who harbour hatred for people who don't have a choice over their sexuality. Why don't you go fuck yourselves for once and stop spreading your putrid, desolate hatred on the rest of us. Grow up you immature bunch of haters. I'm not gay, but I'm not proud to be straight if it means I can be compared to people with such poor ethics and lack of morals. Fuck all of you ignorant homophobes. May you fester all that hatred inwards to yourselves.

  • @Cteeal

    Immature and stupid.

  • @figaz555 nevermind figaz, this is the world, 'material' and 'false', but as a mature adult with any moral understanding left, feel blessed that you have not been brainwashed into what this poor dad and his son have "There is no lie more wicked, than a lie disguised as an excuse"JP II, which can be reflected with in this context with "People living in dirt hardly ever realize just how dirty dirt is." FJ Sheen

  • @figaz555 I know you are, you said you are, so what am I? Takes one to know one!

  • @Cteeal

    How old are you? 12?

  • @figaz555 Yes. I am 12. You don't quite get sarcasm do you! Not sure why your so pissed with me. I got angry because of all the homophobic comments on here and I was attacked for stating this. Then you said I was immature so I gave the appropriate response. So have a good life and good luck with it all.

  • @Cteeal

Do i detect a hint of sarcasm..?

  • @figaz555 How is being gay anything akin to being a murderer or robber?

Did Tony just 'out' himself? LOL

  • i have gay friends and agree that it should be separete it should be the same as marrige but becalled something differant becouse it is differant and that the truth

  • @parraquad following your logic racism should be called something different if its black towards white rather than white towards black? A commitment from two people in a loving sexual and emotional relationship for life is marriage. Its not any different at all.

  • @parraquad

It's the same with the migrants. It isn't that we are RACIST towards people from overseas. Hell that's what our country is, but it is simply stupid to bring in new people simply on the grounds that it is RACIST not too. Why should the gays get marriage simply because they call us homophobic like a nagging child 100 times simply because they want to be part of something that doesn't involve them. Tony Abbott actually answered this fairly well.

  • @figaz555 well maybe its "stupid" that gays wernt included in the first place moron. maybe if you put yourself in someone elses shoes instead before you talk, you wouldnt sound like tard.

  • @parraquad there is nothing different at all, love is love, they are both human people of the same species and if they love each other like any other couple does then why can't they have a normal wedding to reaffirm their love like all other couples do? A wedding is a right, not a religious sacred thing to be feared. it is the coming together of partners forever devoted to one another and you are going to say they cannot have that same thing? No, it should not be separate, at all/

  • HAHAH SUCKED IN FAGGOTS!!!

  • @hootdemon The amusing thing is that everyone will see your comment and imagine you're a rather stupid person, because that's how it makes you sound. And that makes me smile.

  • @finlon i thought u getting anald makes u smile

  • @hootdemon You're aware I'm a chick right? A straight one. Also, I'm not sure anald is actually a word. Perhaps you need to spend more time reading the dictionary, and less time making stupid, bigoted, uneducated comments.

  • @se7ve7ns 'megabound dude for common sense'? Abbott is IRRATIONAL, FEARFUL and EMOTIONAL. Common sense is that all humans have the right to consensual committed relationships under the law and EQUAL rights. Gays pay their taxes like everyone else. He is letting his personal beliefs get in the way of doing his job as a possible prime minister and that is acting as a representative of ALL Australians not just the bigoted, homophobic ones.

  • @global001 Two valuable quotes I came across recently

1 "Fighting for the right to speak will be useless, if by time it is won

the language will no longer be able to express what needs to be said."J.Hiner

2 "There is no lie more wicked, than a lie disguised as an excuse" JP II

like Tony said "......not all love is bound by the word 'marriage'...", that word is 'marriage' is bound by specific meaning(regarding the context of No.1 quote)

any excuses to alter that are bound by quote No.2

  • @se7ve7ns OK put it this way a quote from the debate in the UK. If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck and quacks like a duck - it is a duck! What ever label you want to put on it - marriage, civil partnership, civil union doesn't matter its still the same thing. The only reason NOT to call it marriage is for the bigots who cant handle that the existing marriages (ie life time commitments) between people of the same sex will be legally recognised.

  • @global001 So,... when they use the word 'marriage' in such a case as in the 'marriage' of two companies (which has be frequent colloquilalism) we should take that as 'ie life time commitment'. My point there is 'marriage' is no longer the 'duck' you prescribe/purport, but a word taken out of context to suit/abuse a context. Should not such inventions be entitled to there own category, as has been suggested by the word 'union'. At this point I recall the J. Hiner quote to substantiate the ethic.
