Okay: oh golly, it's Molly! Molly is hot but that is a distraction. I have to disagree with the uptight message in this piece. I had a very healthy sex life in my teens and was not damaged by it. I just have great memories. Young people can be far more mature than you give them credit for.

:P She really does have a hard time talking about the sexual behavior of teens. It's not something unusual but the (us) media mostly draws the picture of something to avoid, like it's bad and too be avoided at all times. If someone is ready for sex, why can't you just let them have it?

While I don't agree with many of the neoconservative world views and issues, on this one they are probably correct. It is true that mental and sexual maturity do not occur simultaneously, and the increasing gap has become a source for distress among teenagers. See this as you may, but obliging to peer pressure (i.e. following the idea of opinionleaders in class) will not make you happy necessarily in the long run. Your mileage may vary.

No what is dumb is doing conslusions on sex based on siutations surrounding them. These studdies is a typical example of ontological ambuigity. Based on what you are saying sex has nothing to do with teen girl being depressed. And looking at what sex actually do to your body and mind it is the other way around, you get happy from having sex.

Sure teenage sex is a problem for some people but do we have to lie to stop it? And is it even a public problem? Heck no! it's a private matter...

Umm..... wouldn't one think that if you're from a religious family you're less likely to REPORT having teen sex?  I thought that the average age of virginity loss was the same in both categories, but that must just be me listening to commie propaganda.
