  • Does Stephen Carpenter (From Deftones) use this pedal?

  • zelcro fuzz sounds like a bee :3

  • It sounds like fart.

  • I found IT! pg 16 lol

  • Love my Fuzz Factory. It took a while to really get used to it though. You can't just set the knobs at noon and then futz around from there...

  • This pedal sounds like sex in the morning. The naughty kind.

  • the search for @halfbillion 's comment begins

  • Great pedal and a very useful vid...as usual...but I can´t buy all the pedals you review...yet certainly this one. Thx a lot.

  • this pedal sounds sexy

  • great now i have to scroll down to see halfbillion's comment

  • @AXLROSE4LYF If you go to "See All" then press Ctrl+F, and type in the username, you can find the comment a lot easier.

  • awww sick, now I can do that shit in plug in baby.

  • Fuzz faces are only good when played by Hendrix or Vaughan. Otherwise shit.

  • @swollenpickle09 Ever heard of Joe Bonamassa, Eric Johnson? If yes then you'd better keep quiet. If not, keep quiet too, but do yourself a favor first, bang your head on the wall.

  • @philotze sheesh why did you tell that guy to bang his head on the wall? I can't sleep now.

  • OOOHH FUCK !!!! both highest rated comments are about Halfbillion (9months ago) now it's time to look back at the comments fuckkkk!!!! (Page 14 for those interested)

Ps: wtf halfbillion has million more thumbs ups than these two guys

  • i thought it made a horrible noise when you werent playing?? can someone help? :L

  • @cjaister only thing i can think of is if your using a power supply get an isolated ground suply like voodoo labs power plus 2. If it's making tons of noise on 9v batteries then get a killswitch or something similar for when you are'nt playing.

  • I used the Fuzz Factory on my song Bonnie & Clyde throughout the entire song on my channel. Take a listen. It's a MONSTER.

  • @RobotequeMusic Sounds great with the slide!

  • Love you guys :)

  • ahaha i just realized the link in the description had the word "the" connected to the link XD

  • Fantastic pedal, but they don't oscillate if you are using a wireless system - that's why Matt Bellamy has his built in to the guitar.

  • @spirallinglight I didn't know that. Although there's also the reason he probably wanted to control the oscillation knobs too.

  • @spirallinglight on bellamys doesnt he just have gate and stab on the front and the rest are on the back or something like that?

  • in my opinion this is the best fuzz pedal !

  • I have a question, for the weirder sounding fuzz like the one at 4:21 is it still as loud as if you were playing it straight without the pedal? Like would it drastically affect the volume and with a powerful enough amp could it cut through the mix of a live 3 piece band? I love the sound of that "Velcro fuzz" but I don't wanna hit the pedal for a solo then be totally drown out. Thanks

  • 2:43 = :D

  • Sick awesome.. reminds me of Muse!

  • Can I get the same sound of a classic germanium fuzz with this?

  • @san5a89 It's a germanium fuzz.

  • if I have a zvex fuzz factory, which is a pedal that must be first in the chain, and the mxr blue box, that has an octave component, where should I put the mxr blue box? will it tracks well being after the fuzz factory? or will the fuzz factory sounds good after the blue box?

  • i WANT!

  • I'm amazed at how many different degrees of great and completely terrible sounds this pedal produces.

  • I have an old original and would never get rid of it but for me it's not very useful in a live situation. The sounds you can get are insane but require some pretty diverse settings, and no saves available here. Great great pedal but hard to take advantage of live.

  • my dream is to have it.sounds like a wild cat

  • Which is better this or the supersonic fuzz gun?

  • to expensive for me :(

  • @sk8life06 get the vexter silk-screened version from the same company. used they go for like 140$. same circuit!

  • btw what's the difference between Vexter Series and this one ? I've got Vexter Series one and i like it alot and i'm wondering what is this one like.

  • Hey,what's that kickass intro song ? i know you heard it a million times but it's hard to find it with you having 740 videos ;P

  • with a high compression it sounds like a musial tesla coil...

  • Jezus, I just finished building this thing...this is a seriously f*cked up pedal :)) haha, it's a fuzz/octave up/random number generator/touch responsive/8bit/drone thingie. I love it.

  • 4:00 Plug in baby anyone? Matt has this built into his guitar. How sick is that

  • range of the drive xD

  • Fuzz Factory or Supersonic Fuzz Gun?

  • @alonsoroman Or Redwitch Fuzz God ; P

  • Wanna sound like Frusciante? Buy this Fuzz.

  • im going to get a fuzz pedal and i have no clue which one. Does anyone know if this is the best or the fuzz face or something else?

    thanks!?

  • @023132

i had exactly the same question before. now i've got both fuzz factory and fuzz face lol. i would say if you love vintage style fuzz or classic rock, then get the fuzz face. fuzz factory is sounded more modern and very diverse and suits more with indie rock sound like sonic youth, pavement or dinosaur jr....

  • @buddude420 what about john fruscante? :)

  • @buddude420 can this pedal make vintage style fuzz also? ( and which would you get to sound more like john fruscante?) thanks!

  • @023132 John uses a Big Muff for his more fuzzy sounding stuff i think. He did on the Stadium Arcadium album anyways.

  • This or Godzilla...

hmm both so great, but nothing beats cats with lazer eyes

  • These are so cheap to make. MAYBE 100 bucks. They sound great, but zvex makes some truly rediculous pricetags

  • Would this pedal be good for Jack White stuff?

  • @BiffyEllis yeah man so would my pedals but these are waaaaaaaay better. I make ppedals as well

  • @BiffyEllis Might aswell go with the Big Muff since it's cheaper and the actual Pedal he uses.

  • @BiffyEllis for jack white stuff go buy a big muff ;)

  • @BiffyEllis

    yes

  • Did somebody say 500% mark up?

  • 4:02 ITS GOIN TO BLOWWW!!!

  • OMG DOOD FROM MUSE USES THIS

  • do you have a separate gate not mentioned your chain during the video?

  • Wish the bypass signal wasn't so dirty to begin with.

  • I think Andy could plug into a turd and it would sound like I want it.

  • Every time i see someone with a fuzz factory, all they seem to do is use the oscilation for the intro to plug in baby and leave it on for that, i dont see why people would want to get one if its all they use it for? LOL

  • Yeah sounds awesome. Similar to Fuzzgod 2 but more controlable. I think I'd have to go with the Fuzzprobe version though, it's exactly the same pedal with a metal pad that works like a theremin

  • is this a truebypass??

  • do you'll ship to India?

  • The ''Ripping Fuzz'' Reminded me of Jack white stuff

  • hey i got my fuzz factory pedal not to long ago and when i turn it on it only makes the noice what do i do???

  • @ChrisieBear14 raise the stability if that fails check the battery and so so

  • @ChrisieBear14 when the stab is turned all the way to the right you should get no ossilation.

  • At 4:01 this video remembered me of Plug in baby by Muse, when they play it live at the beginning :D

  • You, sir, have just convinced me to buy this.

  • do these types of pedals damage your amp?

  • @madanath Not at all

  • @madanath no way man..

  • so can anyone tell me if this fuzz factory is in any way better than a deucetone rat?

  • @pype719 listen to both and decide. its all about taste.

  • muse suck

  • @chrislpp you probably didn't see them live

  • @chrislpp and you're apparenty a cunt, but you dont hear us complaining :)

  • @chrislpp troll

  • Andy I Have A Question

What control do you turn to get the effect were the pitch rises and then lowers when you twist it back?

  • I've only tried this fuckin' pedal in a guitar shop in Haight St, and then I fell in love with it, can't wait to get one.

  • OMG DOOD FROM MUSE USES THIS!!

  • this might have been asked before, but is there a difference between this one and the vexter series ?

to me this one sounds clearer and not as muddy, but perhaps that is just me.

    thanks for your help

also this or the box of rock ?

  • @Ashjaah27 There is no difference, or at least there shouldn't be, both have the same specs

  • Fuzz Factory vs Big Muff?

  • i love it

  • I need this pedal.. I'm looking to get that solo tone on the Silversun Pickup's Little Lover's So Polite.

  • this pedal drives me crazy...in a bad way

  • 6:40 please

  • you came so close to Crossroads! love it!

  • is it possible to control the stability through a wah pedal rather than through the knob? This way I can change it while playing!...unluckily I'm not Muse guitarist!:-) Thanks!

  • Is anyone else beside me choosing not to settle for the Taiwanese Vexter series?

  • What is the difference between this pedal and the vexter series fuzz factory?

  • @milestildawn none but the hand-painted front.

  • @milestildawn The colours :) there have the same circuit ;)

  • Factory my white tushy, this wailing beast is a brutal fuzz forced labor camp.

  • ORGASM!

  • no a very good demo....

the guitar is overdriven on her clean channel....

but the padel is the best fuzz out there

  • @765micha =tube amp

  • i got this pedal today and gigged with it...

its the most unique pedal i've heard...

amazing hendrix vintage sound for solos

  • I have to get this!

  • hey Andy would this pedal oscillate if a wah was put in front of it?

    Thanks!

  • @Freeptom - This pedal oscillates regardless of what's in front of it.

    -PGS Video Crew

  • @ProGuitarShopDemos Not the other way round though

  • @ProGuitarShopDemos

im from poland and my question is where the fcuk can i buy it? help me im needy ;)

  • @arcticmonkeysize PGS ships world wide.

  • correct me if i'm wrong but hasn't matt bellemy built one of these into one of his guitars?

  • @hondansx1000 No he didn't. But Manson did it for him :P

  • hooooooooo

  • gotta love that stab

  • i am so getting one of these

  • I like the Red Witch fuzzgod more. Even the Devi Ever US fuzz sounds better imo

  • This is the Holy Grail of Fuzz pedals today. Also, one of the most unique pedals out there. I have to tell you, I used to hate the fuzz sound, but this one completely converted me and I seriously want one.

  • does it have true bypass? and is there a sound difference bettween this on eand the non custom painted?

  • @MrJaack it's true bypass. the non-painted versions are the same circuit, just less love went into making them so they price them lower. I've never used mine on stage (too unpredictable in the range of sounds I love most from my Fuzz Factory) but OH MAN it is fun in the studio. My favorite tone matching so far with it is a 2x10" Vox cabinet fueled by a Dr. Z Carmen Ghia, playing a lipstick equipped Silvertone beater guitar.

  • I wish I was a hippie

  • That is the coolest pedal on the planet.

  • well, time to sell my saturator, and both my kidneys

  • DINOSAUR JR STATUS!

  • i have a fuzz factory, sound amazing..but its hard to control the tone and i think to buy a EQ pedal for my ff. what is the best EQ pedal suit to ff?

  • these things are deceptively tiny

  • every tone, that's not whacked out, sounds like a buzz saw, even the lowest drive. I want to like this pedal, but I'm having a hard time w/ these demos.

  • it's hard to get a good idea of the actual sound quality with youtube demos. there are so many variables that are different when watching (guitar, amp, mic, your sound card, your speakers) they're all different for everyone and they all tweak the sound a bit. these demos offer more insight into the features and controls than the actual sound quality... go try one out somewhere or buy one, try it, and return it if you don't like it. that's what i do...

  • @butterscotchtele same here its got a variety in sounds but i cant say that i like any of them

  • My girlfriend got me this pedal for Christmas and I thanked her by having sex with her while playing the John Mayer version of "Crossroads" simultaneously.

  • this is one of the funniest comments ive read in a while lol

  • dude, she got YOU the pedal? she's probably a keeper!!

  • @HalfBillion - thats gayer than saying Elton John bought you the pedal and you thanked him by having sex with him while watchin the "devil wears prada" simultaneously

  • @chadbragg lol dude nice try

  • hey buddy. your mother bought me this pedal for christmas and i thanked her by fucking her in YOUR bed while playing YOUR John Mayer version of "crossroads" simultaneously!!

    HAHA! FAGGOT!!!!!!!!!

  • @TheFunklsAardwolf How old are we? 11?

  • @TheFunkIsAardwolf

you forgot to mention that we're brothers ;)

  • @HalfBillion H'mmm.. Something comforting about the fact a guy can play guitar and bang his ass off, but ask him to play and sing?? ... that's damn near impossible!

  • @HalfBillion

that's a strong and balanced relationship! MARRY HER DUDE!!

  • @HalfBillion not bad sir

  • @HalfBillion You are inspirational.

  • @HalfBillion John Mayer is incredibly lame.

  • @twoheadedboy

    Agreed.

  • @twoheadedboy but still incredibly talented, even if he is a douche

  • @HalfBillion

    You are a demi-god! Respect

  • @HalfBillion HLECH

  • @HalfBillion I bet John Mayer was so impressed he was penetrating you at the same time

  • @HalfBillion I don't think you have a girlfriend, enjoy your pedal.

  • @BarProphet enjoy being a douchebag

  • @HalfBillion man you're lucky,I wish I could play crossroads. xD

  • @HalfBillion made my day. thank you

  • how sweet man

  • thanks for the detailed review of this pedal> It has the sounds I crave and will purchase one of these. I have a modded Russian Muff, but this pedal will fill in ALL the other gaps. NICE. I'm actually amazed at the interaction in this box. That Ripping setting is a nice emulation of an odd Cap or blown but barely working tube. So freaking cool..with a metatronix (sp?) type sound.

  • @freqazoidiac I think you mean Metasonix.

  • any power supply????

  • Do you have option for using power supply on this? Or only battery?

  • @LeifJohan yep!

  • 4:00 how does he make that sound, and is there any alternative to buying this pedal in order to make it :)

  • @lettherebewomenonthe get a cheaper fuzz pedal that has the option of an oscillator, cheaper option would be devi ever disaster fuzz which is like $100

  • I just bought a mastodon silicon fuzz, but I'm going to return it for this after hearing the germanium fuzzes.

  • Sounds broken, and that's good thing! Still sounds incredible to me!

  • fuzzes shouldnt have gates, they are made for noisey sustain, get a big muff or a devi ever fuzz

  • or turn the gate down......

  • @joed424 haha. I have a Big Muff. This is literally a zillion times better. You can pretty much create every fuzz tone ever, plus a load of crazy oscillations.

  • can you also create the 4:00 stuff

  • ZVex is a pioneering hero for guitar effects. Joesl8 who gives a crap what you think? Your opinions is like a grain of hardened crap...

  • @poloislegend loll at a grain of hardened crap

  • I can't knock this pedal but Zvex is a douche. I wouldn't give him a dime of my money...besides I'd rather have a Muff and a Fuzz Face.

  • I dont know much but why buy two pedals when this is cheaper

    ???

  • Yeah but there's rarely any other fuzz that can give you the NES tone. That's what I'm after man, and that's why I bought it honestly.

    That tone screams "ME".

  • @AirHendrix91 Go look at the HEXE Bitcrusher, awesome NES tones.

  • @joesl8 HCFX I'm guessing...

  • What makes you say that?

  • is it true bypass

  • these zvex pedals are all just so different. you can get literally any fuzz tone from this pedal, and they actually bring something new rather than re-hash other pedals

  • big muff is its name its a big fuckin muff, not much of a fuzz compared to fuzzes, go either factory er face

  • is there any way to turn off the oscilations?

  • what should i buy big muff, zvex or fuzzface??

  • they are all very different, all depends on how you wanna sound. I prefer big muffs personally, they are very good for the price, have good sustain and give (in my opinion) the best buzz
