  • I got a question. I am a thinking person, i think alot. Everything from rright here now, to what life is and the universe. I sometimes get really freaked out my my own thoughts about what life is and the universe, feel like im going insane sometimes :P Is there a way to just calm these feelings/thoughts down so they dont get so intense?

  • @fredrik2k3k Just let them pass by without judgement...."We are not our thoughts." This quote is very true. Let those thoughts go as quickly as they appear. Our thoughts, as harsh as it sounds, don't have to mean anything at all. Just because we don't have a million thoughts going through our heads doesn't mean we are stupid. In fact, the time our mind is calm and without "thought", we react and perform our best. Hope this helps.

  • thank. you.

  • mine are hard theres price for every thing and to much bad gos good to much good gos bad an i deas

  • mrgold

  • Thanks alot man, this method works just spectacular, awesome bro keep it up

Btw, when in doubt whip it out hehe

  • Should I do it only one time a negative thought or several time? And if yes, for how long?

  • very good mate impressed

  • off topic, but you're hot!

  • I hope this will work ,, in my class , to share thoughts and participate in class, i dont usually do that but i will try to erase negat' thoughts , thanks for the help dude. J:)

  • Thank you it was so obvious but I needed to here it from someone else :D

  • I fell so happy that people like you still exsist. You take time to help people. Thank you.

  • Thumbs up for this video! :) I especially like this video for the fact that everything (the 3 steps to stop negative thoughts and turn them into positive ones) is so well-explained to the extent that anyone will be able to apply it to help them replace negative thoughts with positive ones.

Definitely going to share this video with my readers in my self-improvement blog! :)

    Cheers

    Alex Quinn

  • thank u someone who gets straight to the point

  • Negative thoughts are crucial to personal development. How would you know if you're doing something wrong if you're always telling yourself you're doing right? This is just another way to make people mindless positive idiots in our Brave New World.

  • thanks for the great tips here. I 'm going to be using them alot. I see I have subscribed before, so I'm glad i found you again. going to check out the rest of your videos - you got something here. that I need

  • So simple. This strategy rests on the fact that you are at least aware of your thoughts and what they SAY to you. Which of course means the words that are said to you by your mind. The actual WORDS. And then by rote, repeating the opposite until you believe them....that way they have emotive force and are true to you. Why not try it? Start with a basic simple lie that you are telling yourself, and turn it around. Start basic about a real thing that you have power to change.

  • I was trying to look up Little Voice, the movie and you came up. Sorry you are the negative.

  • Neuro-Programmer 3 is a great tool for fast change.

  • how did u discover such good traits in yourself?

  • your awesome man

  • thanks, it make me more happy!

  • thank you!

  • The cheap products we have are not cheap. That's the lie. Other people, including those in our own country, payed the price so that we could live in luxury and spread our false positivity.

  • Btw, I don't like overly positive people either. They're annoying. For example, America is very wealthy and positive people think that's great. But me, I look at developing countries that we exploited to get rich. I look at the many disasters we caused to them while climbing up the ladder. I look at the laws we exploited. I looked at the pollution. Our enormous confidence came at a cost; we offshored the cost to other places in the world to inflate ourselves..

  • We know from clinical studies that many many people (possibly a majority) overestimate themselves in a positive direction. This source of confidence can lead to bad consequences if they gamble too much on their distorted self-confidence.

  • I don't think removing negative thoughts is good. I think we need a balance of positive thoughts and negative thoughts. Perhaps society needs overly positive people and very negative people to keep its balance. Maybe we need psychos to bring about revolutions. Maybe we need reclusive people who bury themselves in their work for innovation. Maybe we need extremes to break the status quo that holds us back.

  • Oops, turned the "I can't do it" dial the wrong way...

  • i have i question

my negative thoughts are always about serial killers and discusting sexual stuff

(the 2 girls 1 cup is an example >.<)

    what should i tell myself?

that there are no serial killers or discusting perverts out there? cause i know thats not true

and even if they dont exist now, i guess it sorta bothers be that they did before

  • @xXMapleHamXx If it helps you, I don't even understand what you mean by 2 girls 1 cup. To me, I just think "Well one of them drinks out of it then the other washes it and drinks out of it." I don't understand why it bothers you.

  • @xXMapleHamXx 2 girls 1 cup and other shock videos are usually fake.

As far as serial killers/rapists go... they've always existed. With the Internet, we're just able to find out about them easier. Have the mindset that the things that happen in this life are trivial to what happens after this life. Whatever your perspective of the afterlife or lack of one is, remember it's probably a much better place than this because you didn't do anything to deserve a hell.

  • A Friend shared this with me, it's very profound yet so simple. Over the years one of the main thoughts I carried in my head was - "I can't control others behaviour" so the opposite of that is "I can control my own behaviour". Its been a revelation for me and it totally works. Fascinating Clip.

  • That little voice telling you running over that old lady was a bad idea?

  • wow this is scary ... it fricken works. i started to say i know i can do it .THANK YOU soo much & just thought you should know your really goodlooking :) dont stop the vids please

  • Thanks for this man, helped alot

  • Gosh it helps! thanks !

  • this video helped me so much when i was having severe psychosis and voices were screaming in my head. thank you deeply.

  • @brayvo777:

    ...you are very welcome :)

  • @stephenmartile

    ... lmao

  • @stephenmartile u r christian bale !

  • i get the first positive emotion while doing this..... i smile. thank you.

  • the reason everyone has low self esteem more than ever is because the way the media portrays happiness.when people cant reach this they begin to feel unworthy

  • Is it bad if I'm having Sexually Negative comments about you? I'm not sure I can stop those...

  • It's all about belief... that mini you that crops up to discuss with yourself what you can and can't do... it may as well be a third party... and it is actually your sub-conscious... the part of your ego mind programming that is most hidden and therefore most subversive. Like any programming it may be poorly programmed or worse... and freeze or corrupt other programmes.

Know your enemy... bad thoughts! Be happy... love!

  • I loved the video. it really helped me to do it. you look great by the way

  • Enough hard alcohol will shut that little cunt in your head up for good. Jim Beam or Jack Daniels are really good friends of mine.

  • What if the negative thoughts are about yr physical appearance or yr personality? And the opposite word is not really true?

  • @09alltimelow: yeah... I think I get what you're saying... in other words you don't believe it, right? You're saying the positive thought, but you don't really believe that what you're saying is true. The funny thing is that at some point in time you and many others didn't believe the negative thoughts you were repeating to yourself either... but over time you did believe them. They became very REAL... this works the same way, except in the opposite direction....

  • @stephenmartile what about if it's something you don't want to say?

  • @OREJEL1999: then don't say it... you CAN teach yourself to believe whatever you want.... it's entirely up to you... it's a choice

  • @09alltimelow I'm working on this too, but when I make analysis of people that I find attractive, it's not really about the physique that they were born with, but rather something that makes them unique and other things that can be acquired. I guess the method that this guy tells in this video is very helpful, so maybe you can say something positive about appearance and personality even though it may not feel like truth in the beginning.

  • I'm 15. My life changed from being amazing to being absolutley horrible. I used to play soccer everyday, go out with my friends and all of that. I was up late one night and I began having these weird thoughts like "Why am I human? What's the purpose of life?" It escalated even further where I had to get out of bed and calm my self down. This was about 6-7 months ago.I don't feel like my self anymore. Most of the time I question if all that I see is real and because of that i question my sanity.

  • @soccermylife17 I think its a stage, you ll probly get over it even if u dont think you will :)

  • @chaifr4 Everyone tells me that. I hope it's true

  • i needed to hear this. and you're good in front of the camera

  • this surprisingly works :) thank you for making this video

  • Tom, am I supposed to get emotional watching this video? Cuz I did dude, I have suffered from depression for all of my adult live, 15 years. Your approach, and communication style is amazing. Thank you. Please keep posting.

  • I am reading Wallace Wattles The personnel power course. He said we have to make constructive thoughts exceed negative thoughts by even a little bit more or we will stay the same. I like the lessons here about writing both down the adjust the volume. I CAN DO IT

  • Hi stepthen, tom here. I suffer from regular negative thoughts and it really gets to me. This video looks really good and I will give it a try, i really appreciate what your doing and i'll let you know how it goes. Thanks :-)

  • @chartgll: you're welcome Tom :)

  • Thanks dude!! I have a disability and i have struggled with this for years and years. Now im proud of who i am and i realize people care about me and love me for who i am. It means so much, thanks a lot!

  • Love it!

  • Awsome! I also replace negative thoughts with happy moments in my life that gets me all cheerio!

  • This is similar to MINDFULNESS practice in Buddhism.

  • I really appreciate this

  • Just a thought.

  • This works amazingly well. I am shocked. It works for a visual that keeps popping into your head too. My mind is now naturally running the positive visualization. Again: WOW

  • Wow. I am impressed by this. I have tried to just replace the negative thoughts in the past without the volume technique and it always seemed like I would get to excited and bam... there is the neg thought again. Total replacement only worked when I got really mellow and on a low energy level, then I could do complete replacement but without much power in the new thought. I like this method because it adds power to the new thought. You are flippin cute too BTW.

  • @FocusBeam: hey thanks - love the feedback...

  • @stephenmartile Hey arent you the guy from This Revolution?

  • Hi Stephen, is it not harmful to repeat the negative thought for a long time like you showed? Most of us already have certain thoughts ingrained in our sub. Thanks

  • This actually works as it put a stop to a lot of negativity in my thoughts. I did exactly what you said & the negativity which went on & on in my mind was replaced by a more positive thought.

  • @dweyn34: Wicked!!

  • Hello! I have to admit that I've been doing everything wrong in my life, I've been giving voice to those negative thoughts a lot, and then I realized that they were ruining my life. I honestly didn't know what to do to start over again... until I found your video.

Thank you very much for taking your time to make it, and please excuse my english mistakes, I usually don't write long comments, but I needed to show my gratitude.

    God bless you

  • @pixelpon: you are very welcome :)

  • Very good. Thanks for sharing

  • You have no idea how useful this is for me. I just needed that. Thanks a lot!!!

    Glad you find it useful....

    Steve

  • Hey that's wonderful! Thanks alot :)

  • @ipksb1:

    Your welcome.

  • I know I can do it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Probably helps to speak with certainty, Most people have very weak internal dialog.

  • im trying soooo hard.

  • what sucks is how, using imagery and realistic connections, you seem crazy. And thats why most people do not believe in this. Using imagery and real world connections are truly the best way for the public to understand what exactly your aiming towards. But now people just think your crazy. The 'stereo volume' connection is exactly how this works, and how you should do it. Dont focus on the fact that your turning down a stereo, more along the lines of downing th negative, an applyin positive. 5*

  • Take a look at NLP:)

  • alcohol helps me alot
