I do agree with his statement that right now we need more good games rather than a new system. After playing video games for over 20 years, its game design that makes or breaks a game, as opposed to technology.
This is a bit dated now, but DLC transferring seems a bit more like a big one. Not for the Xbox, as they let you download things you already paid for over again for free, but for the Wii. All online games (to my knowledge) for one do not allow you to copy save data to an SD card and Wiiware and virtual console games can't be played on another Wii, even if its off of the SD card. Unless there's a workaround they can figure out, then that's the biggest DLC problem I see.
they should of also mention the face that kingdom hearts 3 isnt out yet, why you ask because for some reason a lot ppl like to send them messages about "when is kingdom hearts 3 coming out". other than that i agree on this list

@AllieRX87 imo the only thing that the wii needs is hd capability the xbox 360 slim from what i heard has most of its over heating problems taken care of and the ps3 is fine the way it is and since they are releasing collections of the best ps2 games that takes away the frustration of the console not having backwards compatibility with all ps2 games plus they are released in hd which is the icing on the cake for me
I agree, the amount spent into graphics are a plague on video games. I don't like consoles, but they look good enough, games looked good enough since 04. Consoles are supposed to be simple machines to play games, not PCs or multimedia devices.
I still wish consoles and PC would have separate markets like the old days..now PC gamers get shafted due to the limitations of consoles, and the console audience , which is mostly 14 year olds.

@nnmaster1 yes, and in comparison to the PlayStation vita it's awful. the Wii U's main selling point is the fact you can play the Wii, which has awful graphics, on a handheld device. the play station vita lets you play games from your ps3 straight to the vita, with much better graphics. i've seen killzone 3 played on the vita using remote play.
@nnmaster1 I'm going to be getting it when it comes out. the WiFi only version, the other is way too expensive with the data plan and the 3G vita itself is 50$ extra.
If you like graphics fine, if you like gameplay fine, if you like campbell's chunky fantastic. Point is, the gaming industry and its audience is very diverse so you can't expect everyone to like what you like and I say that respectively. For instance, I prefer gameplay over graphics but if a game has good graphics I won't complain. I despise the Kinnect, but I won't knock anyone that likes it because it does have its positives.

And that's why the PC is the best system ever. Don't rely on that Dell, Alienware, or HP bullshit, just use what programming system you want to use, like mac or windows and build your own computer. It cost less than having a company made PC and it works much more better and the way you want it. Plus you can emulate your computer to play console games in your computer. And did I add you can use console controllers on the PC. PC the first gaming system and its still here today.
Or, you know, you could just make games for the PC. It may be a little difficult to use a times but the possibilities are much better and at the moment PC's have more power than consoles.
@TheNeozoid So? Upgrade it. I recently added 4GB of RAM to my PC when I was at 2GB. Replaced the 2GB completely for 65ish dollars. A good PC can cost 1,000 dollars maximum and could probably be built for around 700 dollars and last 2 years. Console gaming might be slightly cheaper but if you are a big gamer then the benefits of modding and improving the games are always there plus you get master pieces such as Mount and Blade and superior controls.

@Austoidx Bluray has 4X the storage of a DVD. as for the updates it's probably just a slow internet conection or the amount of content on the update. because generally for me it takes less then 3 minutes for an update to finish. besides the update can be done later. you can still play games it just won't let you go online.
@cs52392 Agreed. The Wii DOES have an actual controller (the Classic Controller Pro), but it's severely underused. Thankfully, with Wii U, the PRIMARY controller will have two analog sticks & plenty of buttons, just like a real controller.

If the pics from game informer mean anything, Elder Scrolls Skyrim needs to be the new graphical standard. Not saying that there are not better looking games but...there doesn't seem to be many.

And that's why the PC is the best system ever. Don't rely on that Dell, Alienware, or HP bullshit, just use what programming system you want to use, like mac or windows and build your own computer. It cost less than having a company made PC and it works much more better and the way you want it. Plus you can emulate your computer to play console games in your computer. And did I add you can use console controllers on the PC. PC the first gaming system and its still here today.

Or, you know, you could just make games for the PC. It may be a little difficult to use a times but the possibilities are much better and at the moment PC's have more power than consoles.

@TheNeozoid So? Upgrade it. I recently added 4GB of RAM to my PC when I was at 2GB. Replaced the 2GB completely for 65ish dollars. A good PC can cost 1,000 dollars maximum and could probably be built for around 700 dollars and last 2 years. Console gaming might be slightly cheaper but if you are a big gamer then the benefits of modding and improving the games are always there plus you get master pieces such as Mount and Blade and superior controls.
Just my opinion. Causal gamers need love too

PS3 already pushes 1080p games and already starting on 3D games with out having to make a new console.
If this is Nintendo's new idea of making a system, lets hope this one is more upgradeable for future development like Microsoft and Sony have done. Because that 400 dollars could go towards hmmm 4 new games?

the one console I can absolutely agree with not need a new system is the Playstation 3. the other have faults that could be adressed.
XBox 360: while the still a great system it has limited itself by not having Blue ray, However XBox has shown it can survive without.
Wii: It's a great concept however it seem Nintendo went half way on the upgrade while sony and Microsoft went all out.

@Austoidx Bluray has 4X the storage of a DVD. as for the updates it's probably just a slow internet conection or the amount of content on the update. because generally for me it takes less then 3 minutes for an update to finish. besides the update can be done later. you can still play games it just won't let you go online.

@cs52392 Agreed. The Wii DOES have an actual controller (the Classic Controller Pro), but it's severely underused. Thankfully, with Wii U, the PRIMARY controller will have two analog sticks & plenty of buttons, just like a real controller.

@EmoLoverRyan yup i know thats all that ever comes out now we never get a good RPG game or a good adventure/platforming game like we used to cuz no one likes those games anymore i guess, so now all they make are FPS games like call of duty and halo. i mean dont get me wrong i like the halo series (except after halo 3) but like most ppl will just the play game for the multiplayer and just forget about the story. theyll just wiz through the story mode and go straight to multiplayer.

The Wii is the only exception to this. I love the Wii. But they gotta start over. Just upgrade the graphics and enhance the controls and you can just call it the Wii 2.
They gotta make it a next gen console just make it an upgrade. Consider it an intergen console or Wii 1.5. Its still the Wii, but just better. I'll happy Thats all most Wii owner want is just better graphics and enhanced controls. They already put out the builtin wiimote plus, so just upgrade the graphics. The rest will follow

I totally agree, I believe that we should focus on better games rather than to make new hardware. Hell look at MGS4, Dead Space, Unreal Tournament 3, Halo Reach, and my most favorite game graphically Mass Effect. This should be the standard. One time I think he's made sense. WWe don't need a new system but we could still improve upon what we have look how far the DS has come since the origonal. It's been reduced in size weight the creen is brighter. The ocntrols are better and the 3ds si gonan play in 3d not mention haev what are problely the best graphicals capabilites on a handheld ever.
