Not just the original price of the car, but the price of maintenance you HAVE to maintain every 15k miles.

Worked at Classic BMW for a while... Learned more than enough about these cars.

If I were to pay for any BMW, it'd have to be the Z8 or the B7(if either came with a lifetime warranty on everything).

You are so wrong. The N54 won Engine of the Year. Twin turbo, NO turbo lag, spectacular power delivery, fantastic fuel efficiency (when driven requesting such), and reliable even running ADDITIONAL pounds of boost.

Maintenance is free. Dunno who the hell you're kidding. You have to pay for your medical bills running over your own foot. (how did you do accomplish that feat (pun intended)?).

Z8 and B7 are more than 2x the price of this car. Not even the same category.

Didn't have to pay for medical bills. The dealership I worked at had to pay for it.

Again, I was push starting a brand new Z4 roadster (no irony intended).

Maintenance is only free during the warranty which dies after 30k, 50k, duration of time or whatever warranty you pay for. For the price of the warranty you might as well save your money and hand over the cash to when you get the car serviced.

I was a tech in the service department. I know all about this shit man.

Yes, maintenance is FREE under warranty. Just like every other BMW. The Z4 is like any other car... if it has problems after warranty- ya have to pay to fix it. Big shocker there!

The E89 Z4 hasn't been out long enough for >5% of people driving it to be out of warranty, but the 335 has. Same fantastic engine, just as badass of a car.

I'm not talking about service as in get the car fixed. I'm talking about service as in CLEAN the engine.

I took apart my 6G72 after 288 thousand miles to replace piston rings (and upgrade pistons since I was already in there) and the engine didn't have NEAR as much sludge as I've seen a BMW obtain after 40 thousand miles.

THAT is what I'm saying. THAT is the maintenance that MUST be obtained every 15k miles.

Step into a shop and ask to look at one, they're cleaning them almost every day man.
