@cokoluvg4 ya I was stuck in a fucked up place this song really helped me "You should chill if you short...plan to leave something behind so your name will live on!!!!!!!!" still hits me deeply while my friends were in jail and IM tryna do the right thing while getting shot at for a 40sac of weed. @MrAD2406 see if people made sure nobody let ignorant shit like what you said slide in conversation people might stop thinkin it's cool to be racist but I see now that you don't use normal logic so reasoning with you will get me nowhere, you don't make me mad or angry, I just feel sorry for you. but I'm not here to judge you or say you are wrong keep doin what you do but I don't have to tell you that, most people don't see anypoint in changin and I'm sure you don't either.
I make it my duty to pint out to an ignorant white person not to say stupid racist shit I think you should try not to encourage ignorant stupid shit by saying it.
@MrAD2406 have u ever been to Mobile,Alabama????? i went there after my boy moved there, and there was a trailer park by where he moved that had the same shit happin in there that happens in projects..i live in the jects myself, and i used to think certain shit only happens in the projects until i ventured outside the jects and saw that alotta different places that u wouldnt expect and their stories sound the same....jus sayin
ok so all the white boys that said they wanna listen to this and smoke a blunt with this nigga, this song is for the black people so please stop, you need some nigga friends like Katt Williams said
@rescobar1997 Doubt it, those people are who I'm with everyday. I wonder if you misunderstood what I was sayin or if you just think everyone in tha hood is a thief
i agree peters coop i would"n t mind smoking a blunt with him and kick it wit him just to endure his way of thinking . i think he is one of the realest rappers in the game because he lived every thing he spoke about. a lot of rappers now a days don"t understand this at all
i agree peterscooop, i wouldnt mind smokin a blunt with him and kick it wit him just to endure his way of thinking . i think he is one of the realest rappers in the game because he lived every thing he spoke about. alot of rappers now a days dont understand this at all
Beatiful and deep song. Nas is so fuckin insightful and deep. I wish one day i can talk with him and smoke a blunt, im sure i wouldnt bore him with my story, and i bet id be amazed with what knowledge this brother would kick.
OK this album is not nas best, but its still on the level of others best album or even better. when you got classic tunes like this, some of us have angle, the life we chose, ect. ain't no way that a bad album you fill me
Nastradamus... one of my favorite Nas album, just because how real it is. Probaly his most personal album beside God's Son.
Such beauty in poetry is not found anywhere else, whoever can't appreciate this album for it's beauty is missing out on life. Some of Us Have Angels, Project Windows, Last Words, Life We? Choose, God Loves Us, Come Get Me... incredible.
Don't sleep! forget everthing you've heard about this album, put it on and just drift away. This is where you'll find Nas, right here.
la da da.......Lookin oout! Yeah ! Smooth as fuck Ron Isley is the soul king and Nas is one of the greatest to ever put his words on wax. Peace to man, woman and child.
the ghetto is not a place its a mind state the reason why african american dominated projects are the way they are is because we as blacks forgot how to unite and love each other that since of unity we had back in the day is long gone we dont love our own anymore
GOT A 9 WATCH WHERE U WALK TWO DOLLAR (1+1) FINE SIGHN OF THE TIMES HERE IN NEW YORK......9-11-01 ALBUM WAS RELESED IN 2000.GET IT? NASTRADAMUS, HE KNEW WHAT WAS GOIN TO HAPPEN,HE SAYS OTHER STUFF THATS DEEP BUT DON'T THINK PEOPLE CARE
i agree NAStradamus wasnt my favorite either i never bought it or was excited to own it but i listen to a few tracks that are classic dis n shoot em up mostly
ORIGINAL BREWSTER PROJECTS (detroit michigan). MY favorite nas song!!! the piano is beautiful in sync with the flow... IF U NOT FROM ''THE JECTS''/''THE JUNGLE'' U WNT UNDERSTAND... A VIVID LOOK AT PROJECT LIFE!!!!!! OUTSTANDING LYRICAL CONTENT BY A TRUE LEGEND...
Im a huge nas fan! The only reason this album wasn't AS strong was b/c he wanted to push 2 albums out in one calendar year. still 6 good cuts on there from what i remember!
@Travdalaker yesss... its still a great album- the controversy was that nas attempted to rerecord this whole new album (nastradamus) in a couple of months and the album didn't really have any theme as his previous albums did. plus, illmatic was in my eyes the best hip hop album ever recorded, and it was written was amazing but because of some crap with p diddy, nas went thru a lot to get this album out. it just didn't have as good quality or lyrical content as his few albums before this one.
dis guy is d undisputed king...dont care if jay-z got a billion bucks..nas is simply d best rapper alive.. his words can pierce a hole right thru ur soul...i bow to u nasir jones!
4 real me to i was bout the same age when this came out i remember the older heads bumpin this i had it 2 me my cuz had all of nas' cd's i used to sneak in his room to take it 4 a while and try to bring it back he used to be pissed but yea damn i miss thoses days especially them summer days dam what i would do for a time machine!!!
@Smileyfacedkiller "he's finished for the rest of his life, til he fades out/ the liquor store workers miss him but then it plays out...." makes you realize how small and insignificant the life of one person can be when you look at the big picture
I've realized that cats who criticize the album aren't real men. Any real man would know that we all go through a period in life when we hit rock bottom because our passion for life is destroyed by a woman and betrayal. I Am and Nastradamus were recorded when Nas was feeling that way God. He even says it on "Rise and Fall". Nas' album are a reflection of a real man's plight. Real men dont pass judgment, we show love. But, I CEE taht real men are scarce. I CEE you Nas. Peace.
comprehension isnt limited to experience only, besides real men dont pass judgment (sound familiar?) dont think i cant feel the words out just bec. i havent been their in first person
Untitled was a good album one of nas' best. He stayed on topic throughtout the whole album. Project roach, America, Testify, You cant stop us now, Fried Chicken. Nas did his thing. If you knew the Nigger side of history maybe you would have respected the album more. Collaborations with the last poets. Theres a lot to say about the N album. It was very knowledgeable and thats real hip-hop right there
i agree no other album in raps history has been more complicated yet so meaningful i put it up there with stillmatic. no offense to any one but if your not a person of dark skin then it will be hard for u to fully appreciate it.
I mean im minority my self, and I appreciate the album (I am a Nas fanatic) but I wouldnt put this up wit stillmatic, this album is mediocre compared to the rest of his work, my opinion at least
What about AZ? AZ > Nas at this point rapping wise. That shit Nas dropped called the N was worse than hiphop is dead. Gods Son is the last good album he made. Don't get me wrong. Nas is one of my fav rappers but dude has been slacking and hopefully now that Kelis is gone, he comes back with a vengeance. Bring that mafioso shit back
I am not questioning your intelligence, but I will say that as a women I resent that comment. I would try to strike up a conversation with you, but you appear to be grounded in your opinion. Thats sad black man. Its sad because your thinking is part of the problem, not the solution. But why should you care what a women thinks? After all, she is only a reflection of you!
I am glad that you know that My thought's is only a fraction of reality... See, from where I stand comunication between man and woman got lost somewhere in the garden of Eden and as time unfolded it's pretty picture we have the world as we see it ...that's why you were quik to throw a punch verses giving a hug... But like you said you are a thought...
I have at least 150 songs worth of Nas music I BOUGHT. Every song has something redeeming, even his worst is better than some of these other clowns' best. HHID, Nigger, and now Distant Relatives. See, Nas makes a collabo album with Jr. Gong son of Bob, Jay made a collabo album with R kelly the pedophile, and a throwaway with linkin park. Who has the mind and heart to put out soul music?
this is nas, one of the best ive heard from him so where r the rest? it takes soul to make a tune like this man we need nas to be producin more from the heart... and not bullshit from the phat cat sat behind some desk...
thank nas for painting a perfect picture for you (jdubthe1andonly) nas is my all time favorite rapper, he was the best at painting vivid pictures and always will be! because on some real shit, hip hop opens eyes to many like myself who went through this shit first hand and always want people to understand the struggle with us even if you didn't have to go through it. This is what hip hop is right here. joe budden said it perfectly "I'm a artist I paint pictures I don't ryhme words"
Soundtrack to my fucking childhood.

Since the beginning of time a woman has been Man's Down Fall...

Hm, Nastradamus seems to be better than its bad reputation

this is what makes nas great, no matter how commercial he got, even on his worst album he's always got quality songs.
navigator772 2 years ago 2
this is nas, one of the best ive heard from him so where r the rest? it takes soul to make a tune like this man we need nas to be producin more from the heart... and not bullshit from the phat cat sat behind some desk...

thank nas for painting a perfect picture for you (jdubthe1andonly) nas is my all time favorite rapper, he was the best at painting vivid pictures and always will be! because on some real shit, hip hop opens eyes to many like myself who went through this shit first hand and always want people to understand the struggle with us even if you didn't have to go through it. This is what hip hop is right here. joe budden said it perfectly "I'm a artist I paint pictures I don't ryhme words"
