Sales tax is the only fair way to tax the people. why should home owners carry the burden for welfare recipients? My property taxes have tripled in the last 5 years.

I can't believe people would be fooled into thinking that rearranging the tax burden will somehow be a solution.
"Sure, no need to slash government spending, just shift the burden from group to group. If we only had a new sales tax, we'll all be better off."
How dumb are these people? Isn't simple arithmetic still taught in government schools?
