On the "V" spear, if you place the spacer between the two tips so that it holds them apart with its ends, when it hits the fish the fish will knock the spacer out of the "V" and it will pinch the fish.
@PAbackwoodsman you undderstand what "barbs" are correct?.... its just like a hook made from wood, bone, thorns, whatever. doesnt matter, just somthing that sticks out so once the spear goes through the fish it hooks into it so the fish doesnt slip off.
yh soz but its not ur sound its just like using a song were not saying that its ours were just making our vidoes a bit more interesting with it. Hope no hard feelings eh?
I can't tell, but it looks like you don't have any notches on the tips. They will hold the fish better with some notches added. Keep up the experiments. Fire harden the tips too.

Good video. I`d prefer the medium size spear because it`s easy effective an easy to make. But I`d add some hooks, so the fish cannot slip away.
By the way, what is the english word for that hook, a barb?
