I've seen this kinda of muta harrass against IMMVP as well when Idra played him. You just simply cannot try to get a huge slow army to move out. Idra will just keep harrassing the hell out of your base forcing you back or picking the sweet spots off your main force. Then he'll just macro up till he can beat you straight up. I'd say good map vision, defense, and multiprong guerrilla attacks (ie drops) on Idra's bases would be much easier. What you think?

@drchen054 i for one dont understand why these guys dont build turrets in the first place. its true that idra might not attack there again, but the turrets aren't really wasted as they are just like guardian stones that are never in use. 4 turrets every base, and all those scvs and refinerys would never be destroyed again again and again. i suppose we just aren't going to understand what pros have in their minds

I think one of the reasons progamers are so good is that they streamline everything they do. If you watch day9, you'll know they almost never get excess anything and it allows then to amass armies within AMAZing time limits. However, perhaps many become too streamlined due to this habitual mentality of super efficiency. I agree turrets give you the ability to move out more safely and are cost efficient especially during mid and late game when the exponential build up effect is less.

So stop taking away from IdrA. He is one hell of a great player, and probably The Best at the games i find most enjoyable - heavy macro.

18:30 baneling drop is a lot more micro intensive, and can easily fail.... Mutas are much safer, and you get the same job done, and then you also have a scouting unit, etc etc... Spire is the right choice.
