  • Hello, I am looking for abit of help. I am creating a capacitive touch system with blue and Red LED'S that light up when touched. This is for a friend who has a disabled child, and it is going to be a learning aid for them. hav 2m of blue LED's and 2m of red LED's + x8 AA cells. I ned to create x2 capacitive touch pads that are 20x20cm and when the system is on the Blue LED's are lit up when either of the pads are touched, it changes to Red LED's on, and blue off, so it basically switchesLED'?

  • @ALLTENCH007 Thank you for your question. You can visit the mTouch home page for all Touch Sensing information. You can also submit a support ticket to get a detailed response. We've sent you a link to the page in your messages.

  • I fell asleep

  • Your iphone has a much better screen. It is resistant.

  • @ratsis get informed, its capacitive. its what lets it do multi-touch and be made of glass

  • @ariliso

Get informed too! although capacitive touch enables the use of a "protective" glass the multi-touch ability is depended only on the construction of the touch panel.

There are multi-touch resistive type touch panels which also tend to be a lot more accurate and also able to

    measure relative pressure.

The pros and cons of capacitive touch over resistive touch varies from application to application and that's what people should know.

Which is best is determined only by the application

  • Awesome! Now I finaly know how my iPhone works. Thanks! :-)

  • thx dude
