I saw Mysterious Cities of Gold in there 1:30! That was very much a show that didnt get the credit it deserved. It was an amazing show, I watched every time it came on. It was shown on Nickelodeon.
United Forces of 80's cartoon heros coming together to combat the Legion of Crap that plauge our television screens in 2011 each & everyday. Sweet video
@ghostyguy What? No. It's Lion-O. Lionel is a creepy guy who keeps to himself, doesn't talk to anyone at work, but stares at his female coworkers. When he goes home, he smells his socks after he takes them off and beats his meat to foot cream commercials. Lion-O is the leader of the Thundercats.
This video compilation was really good...almost as good as the ORIGINAL "80's cartoon heroes" set to Bonnie Tylor...but not quite! joshiro007x Did the original 80's hero's tribute set to Bonnie Tylor and did it best...
But, he went the way many web-artists do and vanished. So bye, mate ;[
I love this because it's true. I think the real cartoon heroes died at the end of the 90's. The early 2000's weren't all bad because you steel had anime heroes picking up the slack. Now all the good heroes are dead. Who's going to save the world now? Spongbob ? I don't think so.
Jesus wept, this video has everything that personifies the 80's: awesome cartoons, an epic female-lead power ballad, EVEN AN AUTHENTIC 80'S WHITE GUY HIGH FIVE WITH A GORILLA!!! Best. Decade. Ever.
The shows name is Centurions. Cartoon Network was playing it on Boomerang for a while, but I think they may have stopped. It featured three heroes who were each masters of Land, Air, and Sea combat protecting the world.
I hate admitting it but the 80's is the golden age for all cartoon's. It went down hill after that, but there is a little hope left with some out there now.
Somehow, I have a feeling that there will someday come a new golden era for animation. But until that day comes (if ever) we must enjoy what we have at this moment. And I agree; a lot of the things from the 80s was real kick ass. Make no mistake about that.
I think the only way that will happen is if we take animation to the next level. Lets not be soo child oriented in our use of animation and think of the full spectrum. That was one of the hallmarks of the 80's. We watched cartoons adults should've watched but then the mind set was only children watch cartoons. Now they need to know we all watch cartoons, anime, animation, etc. Then we will have a new age of animation.
Good point. A lot of the things that spawned the last two decades was not only awesome and groundbreaking, but also influential and revolutionary. Most people won't understand what I'm saying here, but I believe anything can be influential as long as you learn something from it. And believe me; the 80s stuff has taught me so much. Time passes, situations change, and life goes on. But still, millions of possibilities wait to begin. The future is in our hands.
OK you had me until you said "The future is in our hands." That is the gayest quote I have ever heard. I am just being funny don't take what I am saying to heart. Please don't...LOL XD
Well, what I meant spesifically is that it's up to us to make a difference in the world when no one else is willing to. I understand your point of veiw on that one quote though.
Hey guys! There's this cool place you can watch full episodes of cool 70s and 80s cartoons and tv shows! Just Google: Nostalgia Manila, and you'll find the blog. I've been watching Thundercats, Silverhawks, and Smurfs all day! New episodes posted every day! Check it out and spread the word! Woohoo!
