O'Neill's reaction to what Rush did was perfect. I loved his moment of disbelief near the end of that scene.

what I didnt like about the show, is that we almost learned nothing about life on the other side of the universe. Only 2 alien races with no backstory and flying space drones who want to destroy all humans.

@roger767 I agree with you, I thought the first season was absolutely horrid, too, except for episodes like "Time". They fixed up many things in S2, but it wasn't enough, although the finale was great.

Whenever...a character from the original SG series like ONeill, Jackson, Carter, Teal'C...or members of the Atlantis Expedition makes an appearance on SGU....it does feel like the good old SG shows again....just for that few seconds.....or minutes......other than that....nahhhhhhhh to much of like BSG i would say.......

@mabiniss2 I don't have the video anymore, sorry, I had to delete it to free more space on my harddisc. But this scene came from the DVD, the extended pilot. So either buy that or find it elsewhere.

Well, I guess they had to cut SOMETHING to fit so that the episode would fit within 42 minutes, but... sheesh. While the first scene definitely reinforces Rush's douchiness it's not strictly necessary. But the extra dialogue with Eli in the second scene was important information that would have helped to set things up for those new to the Stargate franchise.

I think it's a mistake that they left out the explanation of why dialing Earth would've been catastrophic and it's surprisingly dumb of O'Neill not to realize that if it was true of Earth, it would've been true of any other planet they dialed nearby.

I don't know which ones are these and they are pretty minor actually, maybe one minute more with Telford and that's about it I guess. I am not uploading anything more though about SGU, because of MGM blocking my video.

you should edit it by zooming it in so the edges are removed, and then it wouldn't be detected by copyright detector
