Yes, I like the oldies, but this game doesn't look bad. I just hope it has those amazing "I have no idea where am I supossed to go, so I'll just jump around shooting till I figure it out" moments I loved back then, and not only those "search for button mashing messages" moments I see here.
@TheLezard1987 Game doesn't have endless guns and amounts of ammunition, just so you know. Think of this new one as an adventure and survival game rather than as a third person shooter like the originals felt.
the graphics aren't completed yet, they're going to add more of the details in, such as the look of her hair and clothes and make them act more like real hair and clothes. same with the voice over, hopefully the final game won't sound like some weird porn. as for the quick time events & survival instinct, i think they said that QTE weren't gonna be a big part of the whole game and that the survival instinct was optional. Looking forward to this game :)

The man chasing Lara thing may look like "Silent Hill" for you (LOL), but for me it looks a lot more like an un-experienced Lara under psychological stress and trauma, unable to think straight and unable to consider that the person chasing her may instead be a friend than a threat. ;)
And when I said "survival", I meant *really* serious hardcore survival (considering the emotional/psychological part of the game's survival gameplay).
Even Though this game looks amazing if it plays anything like underworld, Anniversary i am no buying it i feel they have limited everything to jump at this spot the old TR where the best where u could jump everywhere and the new ones are limited to a specific path and The Horrible Button Sequences are the biggest down Fall why TR ever incorpated that but then again Blame Crystal Dynamic as they seem to cock every game they touch up.

this game is a perfect example of how games have aged, this game from the video looks like platformer or a game with large platform elements, look at this game compared to the original or any game out at that time, the standards are a lot different, and thus the feel of it is much different. its interesting
Thank god this is coming to the PC! We haven't had a brutal survival game like this since MGS3, I'm so fucking pumped for this reboot. Never played any of the TB games, but Square Enix has been doing good with all of Edios's franchises lately; I have no doubt this will be fucking amazing.

I damn hope some of them can be turned off, or are just for tutorial purposes. But it seems like a lot of 'em are here to stay for the duration, such as Lara's impalement. This looks pretty good. I like the realistic aspect of this and how she seems pretty inexperienced. I'd imagine that she's probably pretty young since this is a prequel to her story. I'm excited for this game :D
"Tomb Raider"? I don't see any tomb raiding. I know it's a reboot but if they're not going to include tomb raiding then why bother keeping the same title? They've completely forgotten the whole point of the game and have just changed it into a survival/combat game.

@jazzyazzyD I have played the earlier games, and I know her story, but the series is being completely remade. This game isn't following Lara's original storyline when she travels with Werner, it's an entirely new one, exploring her origins and showing how she battled to survive the island and ultimately became the Lara we know.
she maybe stranded on the island but the island is huge and have multiple levels like hubs that actually looks different from each other, the game developer says that there are tombs here to explore and a mysterious places such as caves ,villages,mountains etc , and also its her first adventure and explains why she craves for adventure and archaeology is because of the experience she had on this island while surviving, makes sense?

I never liked the Tomb Raider games. The controls were shit. And what fun is a game when it has shitty controls? Plus this one is deeper and darker. Laura Croft is more real. Except for the fact that she got stabbed in the stomach and is flipping and rolling around and shit.
This makes me sad. After following TR for 13 years i'm seriously debaing buying this. It's just not like the tomb raider i know anymore, it's like some RE game, i don'like it. Tomb Raider games should be about Lara ruthlessly raiding tombs destroying anything in her path, NOT making the noise in 7:30 (lol) but why won't they realise this. I think it's neat that the character will progress, because I assume that you get to be more and more like the badass lara we know throughout the game. If you don't progress and stay this bloody and helpless, that's lame. And, realistically, if you do, I don't think they should have put so much empahasis on this part of the game. It's sort of off-putting.
Also, will this game be rated M? It looks a lot darker than the "shake your boobs around as you shoot guns and jump on ledges" tomb raider.

I wish people would stop replying to me, it's bloody annoying and in fact I feel insulted because I am a true fan of Tomb Raider and I do have great interest in the story, I was just talking nonsense in that comment since Tomb Raider has been a big part of my life since childhood and all of the sudden it completely changes, I just feel a bit annoyed. I loved how the story was going in Legend and Underworld and was hoping it would carry on.

@jazzyazzyD well according to the story, she goes on a boat in search of lost relics. So I suppose it is staying true to some of the old games. I think it's just modernizing it.They did say they were 're-imagining' it.
Frankly, I think it looks awesome. Can't wait.

... wtf.... this is the new tomb raider game... This game sounds like a porno, Luara is a HUGE wimp now, I mean she's probobly really injured but COME ON! SHE'S LUARA CROFT! what ever happened to going into tombs or large areas and platforming action with guns? She was absolutley fearless in the old tomb raider games! now she freaks the fuck out when she gets grabbed by someone. This game's graphics does look amazing. I can't call this a tomb raider game. I never liked the Tomb Raider games. The controls were shit. And what fun is a game when it has shitty controls? Plus this one is deeper and darker. Laura Croft is more real. Except for the fact that she got stabbed in the stomach and is flipping and rolling around and shit.

This makes me sad. After following TR for 13 years i'm seriously debaing buying this. It's just not like the tomb raider i know anymore, it's like some RE game, i don'like it. Tomb Raider games should be about Lara ruthlessly raiding tombs destroying anything in her path, NOT making the noise in 7:30 (lol) but why won't they realise this. They're trying to make the Tomb Raider games like the movie, where they should be incorporating elements from the Original games.

Looks so cool, but all that "Press this button here" is so bloody lame. I mean, I don't think we need to be guided through all the game... It's like the developers are afraid of the player having to think a bit. Gaming's getting boring and boring...

I think it's neat that the character will progress, because I assume that you get to be more and more like the badass lara we know throughout the game. If you don't progress and stay this bloody and helpless, that's lame. And, realistically, if you do, I don't think they should have put so much empahasis on this part of the game. It's sort of off-putting.
Also, will this game be rated M? It looks a lot darker than the "shake your boobs around as you shoot guns and jump on ledges" tomb raider.
