Weird thing: My NES' screws are suddenly very hard to screw in and part of the front of the bottom casing has warped inwards (under the game cartridge lid) further and further.
It's got the point where I can't screw in 2 of the screws for the metal plate and I also have to put the top casing on without screwing, with a bit of it sticking out (due to the bottom's inward warping).
Anyone else encountered this strange-to-infuriating phenomenon?
my NES is having a problem, when I put back on the top shell the red light won't even come on, but with the shell off, it works, any idea whats going on?
2 things one you can get the connector on ebay for around $10. two you should touch metal before taking it apart if you dont you could shock it (static electricity) most people screw up their consoles by shock.
Followed it directly but tyheres still a blinking blue screen! How do you get the whitish-clear gunk off of the shiny thing you put the pin connector on? I tried rubbing alcohol but it won't come off.
Thanks dude I have 2 Nintendos one that I replaced the 72 pin connectors with one I bought off ebay and I never got around to ordering another one for my 2nd NES. Followed every step......well I might have forgotten to clean the "shiny part" on the main board.....put it back together and it works even better then the replacement pins!!Thanks again!
yeah man! it is! mine didn't work so i was looking stuff up on the internet, it took me 3 trys to film this. i made it back in 2006 but it looked like crap becuz i had a bad camera. then i tried again but my friend has the tape along with my news reporter video where i try to find drugs in the school..too much information? hahha thanks for watching!
Although I would always recommend just buying a new 72 pin connector. It'll last alot longer than repairing the old connector, and is a lot less hassle.
Last time I checked, those 72 pin connectors sell for around £5/$10 on ebay.
yeah but some kids can't get them, so i showed them what they could do. plus i even said you can find them on ebay. thanks for watching and leaving a comment.
thank you so much dude.

Try cutting the 4th pin on the lockout chip. Never fails to fix an nes.
