  • There are many more things that could stem from this discussion, but to cut the long story short you must do appropriate research and quote research articles instead of just books to back your theories as research is always evidence based.Anyways I am glad that you have taken a good initiative to protect the health of the people.

  • not all cholesterol is good.Only the HDL( HIgh Density Lipoprotein) cholesterol is good for us. The others basically increase the cardiovascular disease risk. The HDL can be elevated by exercise, red wine and some medications like Niacin.

    The best measure for the fat deposits in body now would be Waist to Hip ratio.

    We can see the amount of intra abdominal fat by CAT scans. In fact, the intra abdominal fat prevents the body organs from damage against trauma as they exert a cushion effect.

    The onset of Obesity has increased not because of the canola oil and other oils but due to increased stress, sedentary lifestyle and junk food rich in saturated fatty acids. Oils like olive oil are actually good for us a they help in lowering the Triglycerides and hence reduction of Cardiovascular risk.
