  • The machines are two different sizes... that bobcat 250 is much heavier than that little asv, If you look closely, the ASV is a narrow machine, the bobcat doesn't go through the same ruts,(wider machine 72 or 74 in). Tracks closer together would improve your ground force. I've run ASV tracks on a cat machine, hands down very smooth track, like a Cadillac. bobcat tracks are very rough and bumpy. It's all preference, they all do the same thing and its what you like.

  • wider tracks...no surprise to me

  • 17 people cant run a bobcat

  • asv/terex machines have a higher ground clearance so even if u put the tracks on something else you wont get the same results

  • It looks like the Cat is lower to the ground and the other one went first

  • The bob cat it so much smaller gay vid

  • put thoes kind of tracks on the bobcat and it would do the same as the asv

  • I've drove both of these machines and the ASV (posi track) it's a much better machine all round, for controls and movement. The bobcat may have come first but that's no excuse for being stuck in the past. I've put posi tracks in places bobcat drives wouldn't go.

  • as a rule with a track loader on soft ground stay off the same path. so drivers fault and could have used a bucket to get himself out of the rut

  • The bobcat has like no tread on tracks that the reason and it has more weight

  • of course the first one is going to be better, its tracks are wider, wich spreads the weight evenly, also, they are rubber, which means that they contour to the shape of the ground.

  • hate to break it but asv doesnt make skid steers amymore. they were bought b

y terex and they make them now

  • more about the shape of the skidpan, track length and ground clearance than ground pressure

  • it is a commercial for asv :DDDDD

  • who the fuck is asv???

  • The truth is sometimes you want higher ground pressure and sometimes you dont. In the world of crawlers you want the highest gp that your terrain can handle.

  • Kiss THAT chain 'goodbye'. I fucking SNAP A BOLT when the guys do that...

  • Candy - watch the video.. The ASV also runs through the rut after the bobcat gets stuck! the ASV / Terex has 15" inches of clearance. The bobcat cant compete!

  • lift test anyone??

  • As far as i can tell the bobcats tracks are not as wide and by the looks of the sr-80 the tracks are steel. i really dont think it has anything to do with ground pressure as it does with tracks themselves.

  • @SocietyFailing firstly,it has everything to do ground pressure....sr-80 puts down about 3.5psi...secondly,the tracks are rubber not steel!! You were right about track width the sr's tracks are wider hence less ground pressure! It's about time everyone faced the fact that ASV are the leaders in track machine technology!!

  • put the SAME track on both machines, then you can fairly compare them...

  • @MrCoryjohnson1 You will never compare them fairly, one is a peice of shit the other is an ASV!!!

  • hell yeah dannytr84 i have ran both the bobcat i mutch better

  • the asv also has wider tracks than the bobcat

  • Comment removed

  • its the belly clearance the bobcat has lower belly and the avs is alot higher...thats why its just floating and spinning...

  • wow they sure found the perfect spot where only one loader could make it through.

any of my customers will tell you bobcat can work circles around any asv peice of shit

  • Why don't you compare apples to apples. Bobcat has a machine with similar width tracks that would go through that mud. T300 maybe??

  • This is literally the stupidest thing ever recorded.

  • The second vehicle has smooth tracks...that's the real reason.

  • it is commercial for ASV :DDDDDDDD

  • vince solo altro perke pesa di +

  • its cuz the asv has alot wider tracks.

  • the bobcats tracs are narower

  • @norrkullajatkan122 just admit it,u know asv shits all over bobcat!!

  • the operator didnt even use his bucket to help him get out.

  • @Empriz I actually never push manure or move pallets,i run these machines in oz pushing them to there limits in some of the most demanding conditions you could imagine! TRUST me the new pt series holds up!

  • thats why i bought a 257b.. they have the asv tracks system with the balls of a CAT! still asv makes a pretty good machine..

  • @hersheyzsquirtz my brother owns a 257b,shit vision of bucket and when reversing! Not a good machine for detailed work (final trim ect) only good for loading high sided trucks.Did u not know asv's rc series ran cat engines??? They now run perkins which shits all over cat!!!

  • @MRpositrack They've both run the Cat/Perkins engine on the 247/257 size and Cat runs a Cat/Mitsu engine on the larger machines.

  • @MRpositrack @MRpositrack i can grade a yard down with my cat so damn pretty it never has to see a min of a hand rake. im talking right up against a million dollar stucko house without leaving a scratch. the response of the 257b is like no other and belive me ive ran just about all of them. oh and i know that asv ran cat motors bc they sweat cats nuts

  • and yes my 257b runs a perkins which is a great engine only annoying thing is having to use glowplugs even in the summer time. and my 262b runs a bigger cat engine and it runs like a champ. only prob with asv track sytems is the bearings in the rollers dont seem to last long and wayy to exspensive to replace + down time. i just lost one of the middle rollers today while moving gravel for a retaining wall

  • Comment removed

  • @hersheyzsquirtz 2600hrs and havnt changed a bearing or idler yet... totally agree that they used to be shit house but they have improved the design 100%!! If your having trouble with your cat you should do yourself a favour and go and buy a pt series machine and enjoy having no down time!!

  • @Empriz do your research b4 talking shit! ASV is the original mtl manufacturer and have NEVER been owned by cat! That particular track system was exclusive to the sr80 only. Terex have recently bought ASV and will continue to run the RC/PT style track system as they are superior to any other mtl on the market! I own a pt 50 with 2500hrs and havnt spent a cent besides new tracks at 1500hrs.

  • @MRpositrack yeah but everyone knows that asv are the most expensive tracks to replace what did you spend about 1500 a side not to mention any bearings or seals on your rollers and you prob had to replace your front idlers too they are a bitch on your pocket every 1200-1600 hours but they are worth it. its like comparing a cadilac to a bicycle. oh and asv sweats caterpillars nuts lol

  • @MRpositrack Cat hired ASV to Build the first MTL's and they were sold only at Cat Dealers. They still have 80% Cat components with the exception of the undercarriage which was ASV's design. And Cat Did have part ownership of ASV. They allowed Terex to purchase ASV with the agreement that Terex would purchase Cat engines and Tranmissions o\for their larger machines. Most people don't know but Terex is Caterpillars largest customer of off-road engines.

  • candyandy211, you are a fuck stick....watch the clip again, the sr80 goes back up and comes down through the exact spot the bobcat was just bogged!! are your balls hanging over your eyes u imbreed? Now go and get back in your (bogcat) u amature!!

  • @MRpositrack lmao....I think you're the amateur. I looked closer and thought the ASV went through only one of the same tracks created previously so I posted it. I then realized the ASV doesn't go through any of the previous tracks. I think you are the inbred person because you can't see or spell correctly.

  • @candyandy211 hey dickhead, sorry bout the spelling....i dont have to spell that word to often but im guessing you spell it regularly!! why the fuck did u post 4 different comments all stating the same thing but worded different?? Are u retarted?? Im not going to sit here and argue over the clip, the fact is the ASV will go through that shit all day long and not get stuck.....when it comes to ctl's nothing comes close to ASV, you know it, i know it,everyone knows it!! Get over it!

  • @MRpositrack Why do you keep calling me retarded and stupid when it's obvious who the idiot is? You posted that comment saying you are not going to argue but the rest of the comment is you arguing. You just don't have any move stupid points to make about the video.

  • @candyandy211 Well if your not retarded your just plain fucking brain dead my friend!! Wasnt arguing just stating facts....and your right i dont have any more points to make the video speaks for itself!

  • @MRpositrack lmao...you need to stop making yourself look like an idiot

  • @candyandy211 Im actually starting to feel sorry for u....whats it like having shit for brains?I bet you dont even operate equipment, your just some dumb fuck that thinks he knows everything!!

  • @MRpositrack Come on man, I've pointed out about 5 instances where you are wrong but you still keep saying I stupid and shit like that. You then go and say how I don't operate equipment because you obviously think you are some bad ass operator when you are probably some jockey that breaks every piece of shit he drives I don't need to operate equipment to look at this video and see it's stupid but I was born and raised on a farm.

  • @candyandy211 fuck me your persistent!! How did i guess that you were not an operator.....do yourself a favour and stick to commenting on clips of tractors, cows and pigs rootin each other farm boy!!

  • @MRpositrack haha I've probably spent more time operating a skid steer and I can guarantee I've spent more time operating some type of equipment. Why don't you go back to high school and get your diploma because it's obvious you didn't the first time.

  • @candyandy211 ha ha how the fuck can u guarantee that??While you were pulling your dick at high school i was out on the construction site getting a real education! Stop wasting my time, you should be concentrating on getting those cows milked!!

  • @MRpositrack haha because ive been doing it my whole life. you must be a really immature old man then. id also like to say that you just made yourself look like a damn idiot.

  • @candyandy211 your killing me mate, you call me the idiot yet you have just guaranteed me that you have been operating longer than i have when you neither know my age or experience!! It really concerns me that there's people like you breathing valuable air!! your old man should have pulled out and put you on the pillow because im afraid you will never succeed in life been that dumb!!

  • @MRpositrack im done with your immature, dumb ass. Ive already succeeded in life , bro. i bet you wish you had that high school education at times like this so you could valid points and a good argument. i hope you come back again and call me an idiot just to get self satisfaction because i know thats what you are trying to do.

  • @candyandy211 Thank fuck for that!! I was done with your dumb ass weeks ago,you just seemed to keep coming back dribbling shit!! MY first comment said everything i wanted to say, every thing after that was just arguing with a dead shit!! Finally i get no satisfaction telling you how dumb you are, i actually feel sorry for you!!

  • look at the soze of them tho the bobcat us bigger than the asv

  • The Bobcat was a T250. Id like to see that other one go against the T300 and the new bigger track one coming out!

  • haha

  • asv is the best ever

  • Comment removed

  • wow all the dumb shits calling the asv a cat, case and Mustang asv seemeded to have more ground clearnce and looked like a lot smaller machine..... bobccat is the the only way to go

  • Mustang for life!

  • He had more ground clearance and weighed less

  • the asv was clearly better in this test. but it wasnt necessary to pull the bobcat out a good operator would have used the bucket to go backwards and push himself out. that was being dramatic. but i liked how the asv did two more passes and still had no problem.

  • ASV is owned by TEREX the oldest name in dirt moving. Cat pays ASV to use their carrier. I grew up on bobcats, I've been running 'em for 15 years but I can't wait to get an ASV. I just wish they had a foot pedal option.

  • bobcat track loaders suck. whats the point of having tracks when they dont do what there designed to do

  • fuck all other machines exept for the bob cat bonjon949 is right

  • The cat's tracks are wider and have good deep grooves.

  • I believe there is more to this than just ground pressure, it looks like the ASV has more ground clearance. Just an observation.

  • who cares about who wins BOBCAT is the best way to go

  • bonjon949 you sooky lala Dose asv this wa wa dose asv that wa wa bobcat is shit ! case and cat r the go you prolly neva driven a bobcat in ur life ! I THOUGHT NOT!

  • isnt the avs model smaller than the bobat? plus the bocat went in the ruts of the avs. we have a Cat 257B2 with the newer style avs track system and we have only gettin it stuck once and that was in a 3 1/2 ft snow drift and that was because we seeing how much it could go through. we have yet to get it stuck in the mud.

  • Bobcat per hour track wear $2.89 per hour, ASV and Cat $17.00 per hour. Track design is junk.

  • what do you hate bobcats

  • A Mustang mtl 25 would beat both of them. The MTL 25 is the best machine on the market.

  • Who's the fucking idiot driving the Bobcat?

  • Comment removed

  • @CorneLL89

My guess is he dont work for Bobcat.

  • this is a dumb comparison...the bobcat goes in the ruts of the asv decreasing its ground clearance

  • @candyandy211 yeah

  • But the ASV goes right back through the same spot after the BobCat is pulled out.

  • @copperheadmarine look at the width of the tracks

  • @candyandy211 ya its pretty stupid!!!! i will keep my bobcat thanks

  • @candyandy211 not to mention look at the tread difference between the tracks, anybody knows a straight tread will have more tractions than a zig zag. Try this again with the same style treaded tracks!!

  • this is a dumb comparison....the bobcat goes in the ruts making it bottom out easier..make the terrain even then compare

  • Nope, thats pretty much reality. The company i work for has both asv and bobcat tracked machines (sr80/t190) and theres no comparison as to where they can all drive. Bobcat gets stuck where asv has no trouble whatsoever.

  • Does the ASV have as many attachments you can use? Does the ASV have more power? Does the ASV have as good of dealer support? Does the ASV have as good of rep? Is the ASV made in the USA? I thought not!

  • Wow, you are an emotional one. I never said asv was a more versatile or a better machine. There's plenty wrong with it. Im just saying that the asv tracks simply provide alot more traction and floatation then the bobcat's. They're a whole lot smoother too.

  • all in the tracks one is better for mud bobcat is designed to handle all terrain .with comprimises there are shortcomings, that asv will tear up hot blactop the bobcat glides right over

  • why the hell didn't you pull yourself out with the bucket!!

come i have on worst conditions!!

  • the entire undercarriage of the asv is wider as well as the tracks and the hydraulics on the asv divert more power to the ground

  • wow you must really not know what your doing, first to keep trying to get out, digging yourself a deeper hole, and second i could have that bobcat out in 5 seconds with no help, you must not have seen you have a bucket on the front to push yourself out...

  • go on the bobcat

  • the tracks on the asv's are the best

  • it's always easier for the first one

  • @bobcatman14 boohoo dickhead...go and buy an asv and see what its like to operate a real machine!!

  • The bobcat went through the same ruts the asv just made. Anyone who has ever run any thing with tracks knows that you should run on top of the ruts not in the ruts. But I still think the asv is a better machine. I ran them both and asvs's are the shit in the mud.

  • ASV'S tracks are bad !!!

  • It certainly did not hurt that the Bobcat guy drove right in the tracks of the ASV and when the ASV went through it again he took completely separate lines. If he had gone in the exact same place at the bobcat then I might believe you.

  • The operating weight of the machine doesn't matter its all about the track design. The Cat 277B weighs 9600lbs and it's ground pressure is lower than the 7300lb 247B. It's all about the design of the bottom. Lower ground pressure always wins regardless of operating weight.

  • ASV 6,200 lbs Bobcat T-250 9,347 lbs Fair? You decide.

  • yes i agree put bucket down and lift front up or push back, but look at the crap tracks on the bob cat!!

  • when I do get stuck I put down the bucket and push myself backwards

  • if he knew how to drive the bobcat he wouldnt have needed help you dump the bucket forward the set it on the ground then push yourself out backwards

  • That means that the ASV has better offroad capacities only when EMPTY

The bobcat will have 50/50 distribution with a bucket full of dirt....

  • why did you not put your bucket down to lift the front end up and then pull your self out with it

  • yeah go bobcat

  • @planty1324 because the silly fuck has no brain, thats why he bought a bobcat!

  • wow, that asv made short work of that little mud skip. also, notice the paddle-like protrusions on the tracks, thats where the mud pumping is.

  • if i had a bobcat i would take it apart and make it offroad soo it wont get stuck as much and more power

  • the 3000 pound difference of the rc50 and t250 also make a big difference

  • Haha, put the same tracks on each unit, double the softness, then see who wins!

  • only reason it got stuck cause it sits lower

  • well i dont have one of those lil loaders but i do have a bobcat track hoe and i love it.

best one i have been on.. its tuff as hell and dont break down. and it would go across that lil mud no prob.

  • Ive got the caterpillar 247 and you are right. I just spent $2,500 on one side and I only have 1,450 hrs on machine. Otherwise the machine works very well. I liked it better than the ASV for grading. Its heavier with a lower center of gravity.

  • I guess I can Talk smack too. if the it was a new holland it would have floated over both of them.

  • 2 words

    "track width"

  • The ASV made it through because it uses a different style undercarriage completely. Not because it has different tracks.

The ASV undercarriage excels in mud, but takes a beating in any type of rocky conditions.

  • the bobcat would have won if the asv didnt have the better treded tracks

  • asv is just a better built machine all around the bob cats are heavy and narrow pad vs lighter weight and wider and better traction control and power plant

  • The ASV has much higher ground clearance and wider tracks. This is not an andvantage when grading or working on slopes. The center of gravity is too high and the digging force is not there.

  • why didnt the bobcat driver just spin around and push himself to the other side with the bucket.....

  • that is impressive!!

  • What can I say ASVme!
