What a beautiful and moving song. I remember seeing the movie Help at a theater when I was 11 years old (1965). Most of the songs I had never heard before, but I loved each one right away.

@Sgtpepper212 really? Then why is it when George married Patti, John and Ringo were not present, they left town. It was Paul and Brian who served as Best Men. Paul and George were friends from school before they ever met John. And they roomed together in Hamburg days while John roomed with Pete. Stu was with Astrid.
@024lizardking I think it was the Lennon/McCartney sngwriting juggernauto. When two in the group become the songwriters for the group, then one is reduced to saying, "hey guys, what about THIS", which would HAVE to have an effect on the relationship.
I worked for George in 1974....I ran the service elevator for him in the Boston Sheraton. I was 15 years old. On the day of the concert he asked me if I was going. I told him I had never been to a concert. My Dad was head of security in the Hotel and he asked my Dad if it was okay for me to go. My Dad knew what it meant to me and wouldn't dare say NO. So a friend and I had Backstage passes
to George's Dark Horse Concert. I'll never forget him...Namaste
@SHONA825 Wow, you were one lucky kid. In 1974 I was 20 and I remember this concert as if it were yesterday. I have all of Harrison's albums and Dark Horse is truely a gem of an album. Such underrated music. I loved how he worked with Tom Scott and the LA Express, and this album shows off Harrison's incredible talents. Sadly, I never got to see George Harrison live.
this video itself makes one cherish the little isle in the north sea called england. Cheers Brittania, if all the touches of england were drained from this world we just couldn't go on.
This video gives me goosebumps.. George had such a beautiful soul and personality, and he and Paul had a great relationship. RIP George, we love you and we need you.
the 1st song is "I Need You" from the Beatles album/movie "Help"- and its the only Paul and George song where they co-wrote together- I love this song. the second song is the Beatles' version of "Till There Was You" by Meredith Wilson
This song just washes over you, like fresh lake water, and you're swept away to Nirvanic bliss. George sings this one with such clarity and grace. It's hard to imagine that as great as the Beatles were, how much greater they could have been had George been allowed to deliver more of his work to the Beatles cause.
It may have been best for George personally, but I as a fan, of this great band, and its each unique character, hate the idea that maybe one of them was disgruntled wiyh the idea of the BEATLES. I love the band, and all that was the Beatles mythology.
harrison was very successful after the beatles broke-up...it was best for him - creativity/copy rights = $, The White Album was made for each beatle to have a side...never happend. Up-staged is an understatement...moving on was best for GH...watch let it be.
harrison didnt get more songs on the albums cuz the other 2 carved everything up....harrison wanted to leave the beatles. songs about an ex-girl friend
THIS MAY BE A STUPID QUESTION....BUT IN MY OPINION....IS THIS THE MOST UNDERATED BEATLE SONG OF ALL TIME? I THINK SO! the lyrics make a grown man want to cry.
Agreed! George songs had a habit of doing that. Im mad at George Martin for not allowing more GEORGE songs. There isnt one I dont like. WE as fans, really were robbed. RIP GEORGE n JOHN
well , All Things Must Pass is the result of all the great songs that John , Paul and George Martin refused to use during the last few years. George Harrison was making a point in 1970 when he released the 3 record set!
Great peice, great movie, help! their contributions on this song are amazing, just like a lot of others, i really don't like the phrase lennon/mccartney, just for the fact The Beatles all four contributed, even if told to play this and that, George and Ringo still played it and all four made the band what it is, everyone knows this i just like to ramble about it :) lol
An amazing musician, a great friend to all of the Beatles - George was just a serious guy, he always said he was in charge of keeping the music together - hence the concentrated look
george and paul wer both amazing artists some songs wer better than others in some songs but anyway sadly george isnt alive anymore so paul is the "brother" (as in brother i mean best frend) that lived so ya
I don't think George really fit in. I mean, yes, he was an AMAZING musician in every aspect (i think i'm biased. XD). But i read that John & Paul really bonded because of the fact that they both lost a parent (john's parents left, and paul's mom died). George & Ringo didn't have that bond. Not to mention John & Paul were close in age. George was the youngest, by a year or two, and Ringo was the oldest. I heard that Paul & George were close too, they even hitchhiked together!
I heard Paul and George were friends before Paul and John. It's true that Paul and John were close, both lost their mums, Paul only 1 year (I guess) before John. But George was like a little Brother to Paul, he brought him into Johns band. I think George didn't fit in perfectly as well, he was the youngest and all looked down on him at the beginning. 8)
this is when san francisco was 1st exploding with the acid boys couldnt you take your favorite english rock star he will put on his accent extra thick for you
He and Paul were BFF years before they even got to Hamburg! :D....((how do I know that...)) lawl, anyways when John came into the picture he and George took a couple months to bond cuz John didn't want a "kid" in the band -rolls eyes- But like Dick Lester said, "They're like four parts of a marriage"
Actually a fitting video for the song... Paul was Practically Georges Big brother, and paul even saved George from a fist fight in prep school.. they loved eachother
