  • @rlhennessey Your teacher rocks!!! Thanks so much for kind comment. I'm really glad you liked it.

  • I first thought this poem was about mocking primitive people's reactions to a solar eclipse. Turn's out it's just a dark poem. At least it's good.

  • @Unbeginner I like your take on it as well, actually.

  • Fantastic. Really like what you've done here. i know this poem well but you've made it new again for me. Thanks.

  • @meadowfabricsdotcom Thanks for giving it a chance. I really appreciate your comment :-)

  • “Who falls from all he knows of bliss, Cares little into what abyss” Byron

  • Sadie, I have never met you in person but still I think your pretty cool! I love your videos!

  • @deviantcreep Hey thank you!!! I appreciate the kind words!

  • My name is Jordan and i've watched some of your youtube videos when you started making them.

I lost track of what was going on. Maybe that was because of so many other videos I was trying to keep up with.

It'll most likely that me 3+ months to catch up on your videos. My youtube name is RimFairy and I have 34 subscribers.

Would like some more but do not know how to get them. I spend most of my days online on 4Chan or Habbo or some other junk.

  • @Rimfairy Well thanks for stopping back in! I'll help in any way I can. Just give me a shout! take care :-)

  • Such a wonderful version!

  • @AradiaMagick Thank you!

  • @23singhisking1 Oh thank you! I Can't for the life of me remember the name of the song or even the band, but it may have been Sirenia. It will come to me eventually. And I'll let you know :-)

  • @SadieDammit It is Cradle of Filth Dinner at deviant's palace from their album bitter suites to succubi :)

we got shown this video in our english lesson at college, I guess this makes the video almost famous? haha

  • @deadinmybed101 No way!! What college? Wow that means a lot to me, really. I'm really flattered!

  • @SadieDammit Truro College haha =]

  • @deadinmybed101 That's awesome! Say hello to your English Professor for me!

  • where did u get all of the pictures

    it was amazing!!

  • @23singhisking1 All over the internet. Thanks for watching!

  • Incredible Sadie. Such terrifying and mind jarring imagery! That had to been one heck of a nightmare. I got chills just listening to you read it.

I've never heard it read before, but after hearing your haunting voice as you read it, I wouldn't be dissatisified if I never heard it from someone else! Kudos!

  • Wow thank you so much for the kind words! I really appreciate it.

Yes it must have been a real nightmare. Byron really moves me, whatever the topic though.

  • very good one of my favorites

  • Thanks, Doc :-)

  • @SadieDammit yup :P

  • I had an adopted family member with those kind of days. But I'm curious about the lives of writers.

    Thanks for clearing that up.

  • Wow those kind of days must be really hard. Byron has a very interesting story. Thanks for watching/commenting.

  • You seem to know more than I do about it.

  • great reading, not over-dramatized as i've heard others do

  • Why thank you very much!

  • really good lyrics by lord byron. And an excellent job on the video, great atmosphere.

  • Very much appreciated. Thank you!

  • lord byron is my love!

    woo

  • Woo indeed!

  • This is absolutely beautiful. You have made a wonderful interpretation of this dark and mysterious poem!

  • Thank you!

  • Beautyful.

  • THANK YOU

  • I'm trying to find another one of Byron's poem within the same vain as this. Can anyone help me?

  • Jeebers there are so many of his to choose from. I really like "Euthanasia", too, but it's not all that similar to this one.

  • I'm sorry but the American accent is very jarring.

  • Interesting. I've never gotten an accent from his text.

  • I love Byron.

    Brilliant reading, very haunting

  • Thank you kindly :-)

  • impressive, this is by far my favourite piece from lord byron.

  • Mine too. Glad you enjoyed it.

  • I read Byron had seizures. He fell into the darkness and was reborn from it. To fall into the abyss and wake as we all hope to awake after the sleep of death.

  • Yowsa

  • Deep.

  • :-)

  • Absolutely awesome!.I'm just lost for words...

  • Thank you kindly, Ms. Byron :)

  • That's a really scary video to go with an equally scary poem! It's very good!! But so bleak!

  • Bleak indeed! Thanks so much for giving it a chance :)

  • wow..awesome reading..faved it!

  • Thanks very much!

  • That about sums it up. Faith in humanity dwindles to an end. Until everyone fades away from existence. Good Times.

  • Powerful comment!

  • Really, really interesting piece. And nice collage of photos giving depth to the dream.

  • Thank you :)

  • A chaos of hard clay, so awesome.

    Thanks for this.

  • Thank YOU for watching! I appreciate it.

And yes that's actually one of my favorite lines, too.

  • How beautifully gothic!

  • I see by your favorites that you're a real Byron fan. I really appreciate you giving this a look. Thanks a bunch for the nice comment as well :)

  • it's almost as if he dreamt of global warming.Spooky.Very well done.

  • Really appreciate it, cobralilee. Thank you.

  • I love that poem in the first place, but that video was VERY effective. How it was read, and the noises in the background, were both very effective and very creepy. I loved it!

  • Wow Ojiver, thanks very much! I am so glad you liked it :)

  • Hurray! Someone posted Byron! and what an excellent video too.

    Thank you.

  • Hey thank YOU!

  • which poem is this? title plz

  • Darkness.

  • Amazing. What a wonderful Tribute to a awesome Poet...Lord George Gordon Byron! Thank you for this!

  • Thank YOU so much! I'm a huge Byron fan. Didn't realize there were so many of us out there until I posted this :)

  • I LOVE Lord Byron's work...His poetry has always been my refuge...his "when We Two Parted" is my fav

  • Another great. I love most all of his work- he's the only one who ever truly moved me with poetry. It was more like OVERWHELMED me, actually. I'm sure you know what I mean.

  • The big question is this...

Will there be any more videos like this?

Any other poetry with the touch of dark in it?

I try to watch all videos you have up but this has be trapped!

  • This keeps me comming back over and over again.

It has now top place in my Playlist.

  • You are just plain awesome. Thanks so much, Amadan.

  • Very well done. I enjoyed your talent.

  • And I appreciate the comment, Madame. Thank you :)

  • Really, really excellent. Thank you.

  • Much appreciated, Brian!

  • I love this video it's awesome!!! It's in my favourites ;) thanks for sharing it!!!

  • Thank you melouski :)

  • I love this video.

Its dark, scary... the voices or what they now are in background is so creepy...yet I am loving every second of this.

    Perfect reading voice

  • Thank you very much! I love Byron so it was both a challenge and a pleasure putting this together. I really appreciate your appreciation.

  • loved the vid great backing soundtrack and a great reading of byron, the dark side of sadiedammit yay

  • Thanks! Byron is my absolute favorite.

  • That was fun...I like Eddy Izzard 2

  • <Continued> I thought i had heard & seen all your videos & then this fell out of the heavens. Your voice as you are is of, heaven. Stars & galaxies you are in good company! Very good company.

  • Lloyd if this is bread, your comments are toasted bagels with hot mustard and liverwurst :) Mmmmmmm. The best!

    Yes, you.

  • Toasted bagels with...coming right up, its on its way :)

  • I think Lloydhb was referring to the comment about "opting for an Eddie Izzard skit" in your video's description.

  • Ah thanks :)

  • I should have known better. 'Lloyd leave no stone unturned', 'but sir i didn't', 'are you sure!?', Sadie, a suprise, is a suprise, is a suprise. However many times we try to make bread, however well we believe we made the last loaf, one never knows if there is not to be a better dough to be found for the most nourishing of breads. <Continued>

  • What is the name of the picture at 2:38? (the icon photo) And who painted it? I feel like that picture.

  • I don't know the name of it, but if I still have it, I can email it to you. Will check and see.

  • wow great job, you really do have a great voice, could listen to you for hours and I love the pictures and sound effects you added, that takes a lot of time and you have so much talent, you were already perfect but you just keep on impressing me

  • Sometimes you leave me textless. All I can say it WOW- what a compliment! And thank you, a million times thank you!

  • wow nice job, and you like burroughs, lol that alone is impressive ;)

  • And you KNOW Burroughs- I'm impressed, too!

    Thanks!

  • Please, please, uhm please do more like this? Please?

  • You know what- I think I will. I forgot how much I enjoyed making this. Been so caught up in working with live video. Thanks for the encouragement!

  • I love this one...

Have to hear it a third time since Its so well spoken

  • A third time? Wow, thanks!

  • Why thank you!

  • I'd give anything to be able to read aloud like that and not come off sounding like a total dweeb. You could do voice-overs.

  • Maybe you could do it if you really loved the piece you were reading? Or maybe you do just fine and only THINK you sound like a dweeb ;)

  • This is just positively brilliantly put together. It is no wonder he had such nightmares though living with Mary Shelley!! Seriously though an evocotive, naturally dark video of Byrons apocolyptic dream

  • You're making my night tonight, Andrew. I wish there was a ratings system for COMMENTS!

    *Grateful hugs*

  • That was Beautiful..

  • brilliant! is that you reading the poem? what a soothing voice! this has inspired me to try one of my own.

  • Yes, that's me. I'm glad you enjoyed this. Can you send me a link to yours when you make it? I don't want to miss it.

  • This was fantastic.

  • Thank you, Noel!

You have a very intriguing profile. "Intro extrovert"- love it!

  • Thank you! We will know each other better as time matures.

  • This is...i LOVE this. I don't know why all things that are kinda' post-apocalyptic give me a feeling of nostalgia mixed with one of calmness. That's really weird.

  • You put that so well! It has a similar effect on me, but I've never been able to put that into words like you did. Thanks for watching :)

  • Whoa. Damn. Unbelieveably great. Very dark, very evocative poem, and the visuals were perfect. Perfect, I say!

I've got some heavy stuff on my mind right now,and almost didn't keep watching when I saw your warning about darkness, but it sucked me right in. Glad I stuck around.

This one's going in my favorites, and you can count me a new subscriber!

  • WOW thanks so much! I hope that the 'heavy stuff' on your mind has been on a crash diet by the time you read this, and that you're lightheaded and grinning :) You certainly brought a big smile to my face.

  • Please do more of this sort of thing. It's absolutely beautiful!

  • Although dark Sadie, it was very well made. I enjoyed watching it. 5 stars!

  • Gracias!

  • I am going to do a poem too, that was ingeneous.

  • Cool! Will you send me a link when you do? Please?

  • Yeah, that was definately deep with thought provoking sounds and images. I like deep and dark stuff. And it wouldn't be as cool as it is without that lady's voice reading it either. (who may she be?;)

  • Aw shucks FreeWingz.....

  • You folks are seriously making my day here :)

  • SadieDammit...She's deep dammit.

  • Holy crap! That was awesome, dark, but awesome! very very smooth animations, good sound track, excellent narration. A+++ on this one

  • Exquisitely done mood piece and so well read. Thx for the journey Sadie.

  • Beautifully done! Brava!

  • WOw that was fantastic Saddie. Very moody. Very well done. I'm impressed! More more!!!

  • Phew!! nice!!

  • Stunning!

  • Well done Sadie, I really enjoyed it. Now forgive me, I must take my leave, find a rope and a stout branch to hang myself.

  • That was dark. You did a great job!

  • Wow..this was amazing..so well put together!! You are putting me to shame. The end was beautiful. "She was the universe" You are becoming quite the producer!!

  • I sadly admit I know jack shit about poetry and writers but I find these things engageing.

  • Yep, very well done! Great to see another Byron-lover! One of my favourite is "She walks in beauty".

  • well read. well edited and excellent imagery. thankyou.

  • What an evocative piece of writing, and so well read!

The visual was perfect from start to finish.

    I still have goosebumps.

    Thankyou.

  • Fan-fucking-tastic.
