Yeah I'll stick to the cart for Kid Icarus. R-type 3 is an awesome game. I haven't played that in probably 15 years.

I noticed the former cops from Streets of Rage are in their very early 20's. To be an ex-cop at 22 years old, you would have to finish high school at 15, graduate from college at age 19, get hired as a cop immediately after and work 2 or 3 years before leaving. Streets of Rage is completely unrealistic in expecting us to believe it is typical to be an ex-cop at such a young age. Maybe life in general was just easier in 1991.

I disagree with the Kid icarus score, but I don't really miss the password, and the lag was there in the original. I'd give it a 9 TBH

Gotta critisize your score on Kid Icarus. Based on how you give out scores, its definitely not 7.5 because that is NOT a game for modern gamers whatsoever and even a retro-gamer like me, I never got into it, its a certain charm to it and a certain kind of game for certain retrogamers. If you gave Contra 3 a 7, which is a game highly easier for both retrogamers and modern to get into, Kid Icarus shouldn't get a 7.5.

Dude, the boss you fight is Streets of Rage has a Bomarang! And I'm relitivly sertin that SoR was never on the arcaid. Grate game though.

It was in the arcade, due to Sega releasing SoR on the Mega Tech and Mega Play. Those were Sega's answers to Nintendo's Play Choice, which had NES and Super Nintendo games to play in the arcade.

I like the sequel better. Streets of Rage 2 is so much better and packs a lot of replay value with its difficulty settings and duel mode.

is slowdown a common problem with the retro ports on the wii? if so, why not just download the emulated games from the internet?

These aren't ports, these are the actual games. The slowdown was part and parcel of the originals, and occurs on emulators, as well.

The Wii has a USB-Ethernet adaptor for sale, so you don't need wireless internet.

If you have wired broadband Internet already, you can use a Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector (about US$33) to connect your Wii to the Internet, and get to the Wii Shop Channel.

It plugs into your computer, and creates a small Wi-Fi hotspot -- ideally, your Wii should be in the same room as your computer. But do remember that the connector only works with Windows XP, at the present time.

I always got slowdown on my NES Kid Icarus so its not too bad.

You can barely be heard on the Everyone votes review but counting its free, its worth the download IMO.

The point got knocked off because they took out all the famous cheat codes. The slowdown is also a lot worse than I remember, but yes, it always was plagued by slowdown.
