At kingbinacci: If your not careful when you jailbreak you can break your iPod touch. But no fear, after learning about it it took me a year to gather up the guts to do it. I was fine. I used Blackra1n and help from "tysiphonehelp" on YouTube.

To put the file on your iPod go to Google type in iPhone browser press enter and click the first link. Download it.

I've tried this a million times with other stuff (sliders, fonts, others) it always works but when I change the keyboard it doesn't work at all :( it doesn't change

Ok seriously, what is really the down side to jail breaking an ipod touch 3rd gen? So far the worst thing I've seen on the web is that the screen won't turn off even when you power it off? Is this true? Are there any other down sides to jail breaking it? I have an ipod touch and really just wan to be able to add a custom background and stuff like that. Is it worth it?

if you use spritjb then it will be untethered
