  • does international not build the powerstroke anymore

  • i like the old sound its a truck people spent thousands of dollars to make them loud now we need to try harder

  • @blampa how do you know they just came out and the computer failed on them and 2 had cracked head and busted turbo happy?

  • sorry ford the 7.3 was your best engine,i have already repaired 5 of the new 6.7l powerstrokes 2 blew up and others had very bad electic problems and wasnt firing right

  • @dodgediesel441 Wanna get into more specifics there sport? "Blew up"? Is that mechanics' speak?

I know a little about these things and frankly, the error/failure rate on the 6.7's is lower than any other ford badged diesel truck in the last 15 years, including the 7.3 litre. Don't speculate nonsenses based on insidious brand allegiances.

  • Its quiet because they can break down the injection cycle into multiple parts with common rail injection. It shoots a small amount of fuel at the begning of the ignition stroke making much less clatter.

  • @angrydog79 the fenders r ugley. id get 1 and put an 08 bed on it and get an xtra tank.

  • one at work fried last fall...new truck too the quiet powerstrokes....apparently you can't idle them. this one was barely idled. who knows im not a mechanic.

  • @450 I am just thinking they should have backed there motor up, millions of guys went out of warranty by days and weeks when the heads pop or worse. Thats not cheap, forget the resale of the 6.0. It is just not fair..

  • Sad they dont talk about the 6.0 engine that was so bad,

  • @decorativefoamboy the engine wasnt that bad it was just that they were forced to put an egr on there and made a big mistake with the coolant that was put in the oil cooler

  • I like the old sound, specificaly the sound of the 7.3 HMHMHMHMHMHMHMHMHMHMHMHMHMHMHMHMHMHMHMHM!!!!

  • cummins wanna be

  • Its not built ford tough its built ford super duper amazing awesome tough

  • 6.7-7.3-6.4-6.0

  • @Piratemtc Yes, but would you rather have your Bark be as bad as your bite or just have a mean Bark?

  • well theres not much economy laws here lol i know

  • The Cummins engines are great... it's the rest of the truck that falls apart.

  • 2:52 .. Come on, that takes all the fun out of owning a diesel truck. A love Powerstrokes but i want the old knockin sound backk.

  • @BlackFummins12v Oh yeah I totally agree. I'm not a big fan on how quite diesel engines are becoming. It looks like this is just some electronic tuning. Maybe the aftermarket will do something about that?

  • Can you get a manuel shift version of this truck?

  • @norfolkdash9 no they are all auto now

  • @norfolkdash9 The new auto transmissions have a manual mode where you push a + or - button to shift up or down on the column shifter. although there is no "true" manual trans. with a clutch pedal.

  • @5spdzx3

I think that is stupid, are you sure you cant order a stick?

  • @norfolkdash9 I'm about 99.9% sure that you can't. Not in the F-250s atleast.

  • @5spdzx3

    How do you know though?

  • @norfolkdash9 Well 1) I work at a Ford dealership and 2) I also looked on Fords website.

  • @5spdzx3

    The website is crap anyway.

  • they say it's better but we will see for our self

  • Haha, they should just stop building trucks! Their engines(diesels) are shit! A triton v 10 is better for shit sakes! Cummins lasts longer, and has more power(800 ft lb for '11) . It's also been around for say... Nearly 30 years! Proven stability and reliability, and torque. That's a truck my friends, ford has yet to figure out how to build one that won't break down. D-Max had yet to earn my respect, but they do a good job at commercial appliances.

  • @GarageNewz

Just because cummins last longer doesn't mean their trucks are shit. Plus it all depends on the driver.

  • dodge=better cars....ford=better trucks

  • out of all things to get rid of, the sound????? why in the world would they do that?

  • at 1:00 fail,fail,fail

  • @gamer2502 eh you got me there. Well anyone whos gonna spend 50k+ on a truck might do some upgrades themself. Goin from 800-1000lb ft isnt too hard, just a little turbo mods. I gotchya. Not a ford hater, just chev comes first in my family lol

  • @bigjimbrockington so fords claimed 390hp and 734lb ft magically changed to 412hp and 800lb ft? Ur full of bullshit

  • @stlchevy95 Yes. There was a software update for the computer that gave it more power. My guess is that they just turned up the boost a little bit with the update.

  • Good luck trying to work on that cluster fuck of an engine when its in the truck.

  • Well fords Redesigning AGAIN? Oh right to keep up with Duramax

  • The only thing I don't like about the 6.7 is the sound. Call me ignorant, but I like it loud.

  • Comment removed

  • @derekyellow2005

Better do your homework on HP and Torque- your wrong

  • Dodge and Chevy...eat your heart out

  • why is everyone so angry? If you don't like ford then... don't buy their stuff

  • cummins is the beeeeeest !!!!!!!!

  • @5454username

Maybe you can suck my cock you stupid fuck. What do you drive a Shitbox Cummapart?

  • @dieseldemon18

That was my opinion as well having driven all other models and owning a 7.3, until this one it takes the cake! Most powerful production diesel on the road.

  • ehhh never shouldve left 7.3 my opinion

  • @alpinestar6ify

I agree, but thank the envirohippies for that

  • @alpinestar6ify agreed 7.2 and 7.3 are the best motor ever but the reason for the change was that the epa rules changed. Damn environmentalists!

  • @alpinestar6ify They had to leave a 7.3 because of economy laws. Otherwise they might never have

  • @alpinestar6ify They had to due to emissions.

  • @alpinestar6ify emissions and power!!!

  • @alpinestar6ify thanks to the hippie tree-hugging democrats at the EPA they had to leave the good ole 7.3 in favor of lower emissions and better fuel economy. even the new 6.7 Cummins is proving to be a turd compared the the older generations.

  • Thats some good computer programming to change the diesel sound. Its like the drive through tune on my dp it quites the truck rightttt down. However i perfer loud. If your going to pay for a diesel you want ppl to kno your driving a diesel.

  • But Ford came out with these new HP & TQ numbers only after GM came out with the 2011 Duramax numbers. They just had to one-up GM. Should have kept the 7.3 in production. Just hope this new 6.7 don't turn out to be another 6.0 .

  • i heard that ford made one of these to see just hor much power they could make with out worrying about emmisions or mpg, and it made 900hp and some other rediculios amount of torque with out failing on the dyno, can anyone prove or disprove this?

  • Dear ford,

400hp/800lbft with 20mpg? maybe its time to try a smaller scorpion in an F150 =D

    sincerely,

    would buy one!

  • HEY CHEVY AND DODGE GUYS, HERE'S A NEWS FLASH: THE NEW 6.7 POWER STROKE DIESEL PRODUCES 400 BHP AND 800 FT. LBS OF TORQUE. THAT'S CURRENTLY MORE POWER AND TORQUE THAN THE CUMMINS AND DURAMAX. IT'S REALLY THAT SIMPLE.

  • @lariatfx

    lets hope they hold up

  • @DieselDemon18 well let's hope they all hold up (e.g. Powerstroke, Cummins, and Duramax). Judging by what a lot of idiots say on this site, nothing is good and no one is ever completely satisfied. Ford is shit, Dodge is shit, GM is shit is all you hear. Tell you what idiots, go do better yourselves.

  • @lariatfx you know they measure those #'sat the crankchaft, cummins in the only one that measures it at the wheels

  • @Verb1037 I'm not sure if I really believe that. If Cummins measures it at the tires while the rest don't then they're really not doing themselves a favour because of the natural driveline power loss. Why would they do this? Nevertheless, I have nothing bad to say about the Cummins! My dispute was with some blower who was saying that the 6.6 Duramax has more power and torque than the current Powerstoke, which is false.

  • yep every few years its a new all better PS but this one is all in house built and designed by inbred ford engineers

  • From the same people that built the pinto

  • @BanjoSpecial and dont forget...the same ppl who made the world famous mustang

  • cummins is Beter than Ford...

  • @MrKoke23 Cummapart, is not better than Ford

  • @VFA103JollyRogers inline has more power.

  • @MrKoke23 I know an inline has more power but anything has to be better than a Cummapart....I mean Cummins (source: working on Cummins big Cam engines)

  • Oh wow, another ford/powerstroke. Maybe this one will be able to be a lasting platform unlike all the other shitbox powerjokes. Nah, probably not.

  • @5454username go fuck yourself

  • @5454username show me a company that doesnt have an old powerstroke STILL running great in there fleet somewhere....SHOW ME...Cummins are junk, ive had an ISX in my rig...Duramax is the only other diesel I would buy..

  • @5454username Actually its the first "ford/powerstroke" Before it was more like "navistar/powerstroke", because the motor was built by International/navistar.

  • The old powerstroke sound is way better than that quite shit.

  • @Ronixwake5656 I agree

  • @Ronixwake5656 Who cares what it sounds like, the old ford diesels like the 6.4L, 6,0L, and the 7.3L use to go through injectors like they were going out of style and even EGR valves and even water pumps. But we will se how this new 6.7L actually does. A lot of things changed on this motor compared the the old ones

  • @jboydmv90 you forgot bout there egr problems and blown head gaskets lol

  • if you want to test a truck give it to the railroad, and then we will see how tough it is

  • @fordtrucksftw as of recently ford came out with a computer update that gives the powerstroke 800 ft.lbs and 400 horses..

  • this was amazing, i was riding my bike then i saw this f550 stuck good in the mud. they got an 2000 f650 to try to pull it out and it didnt move a inch, then they try used an 2011 f550. it pulled it out like it was nothing

  • @jnsleeper1 that's just silly...nothing to do with power. traction would be the only issue.

  • i test drove one the other day and it is a beast

  • Wow, Ford's done it again. They've created some corporate marketing garbage designed to sell their garbage vehicles.

  • @EweTube33 Think before you run your mouth, Chevy cant even figure out how to make there own diesel engine they have to go to Isuzu ha joke.

  • @jboydmv90 haha chevy did own half of isuzu and has dropped being apart of them and now building there own motors do some lookin before u talk dumbass

  • the 2011 cummins is gonna walk all over that!

  • @jeickholt17 only way it would walk all over it is when the ford blows up cuz the dodge is under power for 2011 lol

  • I read online that ford is no upgrading the software to produce 400hp, and 800lb ft torque. Ford did not want GM to out shine them performance wise; is this true>>>???

  • @xwing26 its not true just go to your local ford dealership and ask for the upgrade its really really true the company i work for has a 2011 super duty and we got the upgrade and its really true

  • @tabanagas Cmon...is it REALLY true?

  • @xwing26 yeah pretty much chevy had matched or beatin ford for everything in 2011 so they figure they add 3 more hp and 35 more tq then chevy just to try and make themselfs look good

  • the powerstroke 6.7 is going to have problems just like the 6.4 and 6.0 such as cooling problems, sticky egr valves, blown head gaskets , oil pump failures. the 7.3 powerstroke was the BEST ENGINE but they had to stop making it because of them stupid tree huggers. I WANT MY BLACK SMOKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @123donmaster How can you say that? It's not like any of those engines... it's not like any engine built before. It may have problems but not because it is associated with the 7.3, 6.0 or 6.4 or even that it is associated with ford but only because it is totally new technology. Cooling problems? It has a new cooling system. Oil pump, it has a CP4. Head gaskets, it has reverse flow cylinder heads. I hate to youtube argue but you cannot compare this to anything.

  • Ford and Mercedes built the diesel

  • I went a drove a 2011 chevy and a ford with my trailer and the ford blow the chevy out of the water and so with that i traded in my 2008 chevy 3500 in on a ford 2011 350 and love the Ford. This is the best for since they same out with the power stoke in 94

  • LOL! hmmm... PowerStroke, Duramax, Cummings--why do all these sub-brands sound like they're selling condoms or sex-toys?? just sayin'

All ya'll fanboys talkin' like you own majority stock in these companies (ok so we all own GM --as taxpayers) c'mon guys lets down a can of cold beer and chill out!!

[side note: FoMoCo's market-share and sales volume says a lot about being "king of the Jungle" As for me, I'll take a King Ranch 6.7 L Powerstroke]

  • fords are fucking gay y dont u guys go watch the 2011 duramax its way better than ford (found on the road dead)

  • the fact that it is all built by ford just tells you its a fucking piece of shit. go cummins look how long it took ford to build a better engine ford has the most different types of diesel cuz they all suck. cummins 2011 diesel will make that look like a bitch toy.

  • @tjhafleymuscle one thing Jr. dodge dont make their fuckin engines like Ford does now. little chip munk. cummins make cummins, dodge just use em, ford makes their own engine now. get off this page if you aint into big Rigs like these superduties

  • dodge hasnt opened up yet about its 2011 mdel yet, they are waiting to blow your fucking minds!!!

  • @lcht2 chevy and dodge just waitin to see what Ford does first than they steal the tunder from Ford, but Ford is the only one out of them 3 trucks that makes their engines. i dont see dodge or chevy makin engines, they got other companies makin them or em

  • @countrydude03 do some lookin there bud you will find chevy owned 50% of the company that was building there motor and if you look again you will see the chevy has drop being apart of isuzu and now building there own and don't see where chevy had stole anything from ford there bud so look around and know facts before u talk and durmaxs is made in ohio haha

  • @lcht2 2011 same as the 2010 dodge 350 hp and 650 tq

  • Ford should consider making Inline-6 Diesel engines. More durable, better reliability, everything is a plus. But...you can't beat the powerstroke sound xD

  • @Twinturbo120 they have lost that beautiful sound or well they made it quieter.

  • @Twinturbo120 no offense to the powerstroke but i wish they would offer an inline-6

  • @militarytrombone I agree.

  • @militarytrombone I agree!

  • I doubt this motor will be worth a crap either. I've put many hundred thousand miles on 83-97 Ford trucks with 6.9 and 7.3 IH diesels and they were pretty good. Problem with 99 up Ford trucks is the motor sits too far back in the truck and the heat can't escape the engine compartment. They can blame Navistar for the engine problems but they need to revamp the truck not the motor. V8 diesels will never outlast a straight six. Heat rises and eats up the injectors and pumps.

    Go needlenose.

  • Spare me.

  • ford finally did something right. they make they're own motor now and this is actually a good one. it's kind of sad the 6.4l on lasted what? 2 or 3 years?. ford diesels have sucked since the 7.3l.

duramax is still ahead though lol. and dodge... well what can we say i mean really it's a dodge

  • @willzzz724 its not ford's fault that the 6.0 and 6.4 failed, its international's fault. dont blame ford

  • @countrydude03 Sorry but it is Ford's fault... they chose international, and put THIER name on it. BTW I am not slammin the Ford, saw one of these today, sounded great, super quiet. I personally would not buy a first year model of anything so I would proably get a DURAMAX. Just cause I don't really like the Dodge's interior, and the Cummins in my Rig is a piece of crap. I am glad Ford has stepped up the game

  • @countrydude03 ya but ford said ok we'll put a 6.0 in our trucks or we'll put a 6.4 in our trucks. i will give it to ford i watched their videos and they did put alot of testing into this. a dt466 will run forever but international seriously shit the bed on the last 2 motors

  • yea fuck you international haha

  • jason grup suck my cock i like the old diesel sound u fucking pussy i hate you and everyone who desinged that new engine it sucks make it loud again i want a diesel that screams

  • ford all day

  • I'm a Ford guy myself, it's just what I prefer.

I honestly don't see why you kids are arguing over which engine is better. If it's a diesel it's an auto win, no matter who makes it.

I know everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but if you're sitting here arguing over what's better or what's worse, then my opinion is, you don't deserve a diesel of any kind.

Sitting here getting into e-fights is pointless when you can be out driving your diesel, ya dig?

  • old diesels sound way better

  • My neighbour had a Ford in the driveway with a welder on the back. He has a Dodge now. That tells you something.

  • @hubcit Yeah, it tells you that the guy was trying to fix it, but it was such a piece of shit that when he tried to weld the rear axel back together and drop his 6th new International engine into it after 2 years, he gave up and got a Dodge.

  • I'm a GM guy but i support all American made cars and this looks great. I love that Ford is setting a world wide standard for cars and it makes GM work even harder to stay in the game as a competitor. The 2011 Duramax and Powerstroke are the best yet

  • 735 ft-lb of torque

  • Can't wait to try a mild tune on one, word is Ford might shut the Chevy clan up by releasing an ECM update to push the numbers over 400/775 with room to spare, they usually wouldn't do this but they know the duramax is maxed out as it is and figure there wouldn't be any repercussions

  • @matthewmalk248 You are TOTALLY clueless if you think the Duramax is anywhere close to "Maxed Out". A simple flash of the computer and the duramax will easily be 450Hp.

Heck, the PPE +90HP tune runs cleaner than the stock Duramax tuning to boot ! Bring on the Diesel wars !! Where did Cummins go? (LOL)

  • @matthewmalk248 maxed out i think not and whos been useing the same motor for 10 yrs running not ford haha cummins is running on 20 years with the same basic motor go figure eh your funny haha

  • @chevydiesel350015 your stupid haha. The new Cummins is completely redone, it is nothing like the engines it made 5 years ago, let alone 20. Chevy uses a completely different diesel setup then they did 9 years ago (Duramax didn't come out till 2001 by the way). So you think it's a good thing to keep old outdated designs in new truck showrooms? What's funny is my post is 5 months old and your post had no facts, or logic, or even a point. So congratulations on wasting space on the comments.

  • @matthewmalk248 i knew the duramax was first built in 2001 you fuck nut it was the LB7 but my point is chevy had use the same block and a whole lot hasn't changed and same with cummins you fuckin retard not like ford thats use 2 different blocks 6.0 ,6.4 built about the same as the other and it still failed that tells you how dumb ford is and yourself and now there self built 6.7 is gonna fail even faster then the last two haha you stupid fuck

  • @chevydiesel350015 So you knew it was 2001, does that mean you have trouble with math when you said 10 years? So what if the Isuzu diesel uses the same block, the block is the most basic part. What is wrong with using two different blocks. Should all engines be the same size? Yes Ford is very dumb for not going into bankruptcy like GM & Chrysler. So be proud of your Isuzu diesel. Cummins is the best diesel out but have totally changed designs in 20 years. But hey they're still metal right

  • @matthewmalk248 no aint got trouble with math you dumb fuck the LML the 2011 duramax it's at dealers makeing it 10 yrs are you retard i guess you can't count and its not not isuzu anymore there smart one duramax aint had nothing to do with Isuzu since 2006 and fords dumb for use to different motors cause they don't know how to build one motor and keep it runing and only diff in cummins is to more value per cylinder so yeah basicly the same motor retard

  • @chevydiesel350015 Dude make up your mind, you say Chevy hasn't changed much but then you say that the engine is not Isuzu anymore since 2006. So are you saying the new Duramax is different from the Isuzu one before 2006?

  • @chevydiesel350015 It's not Cummins, it's Cummapart(s) I know I work on them. The only good diesel is Caterpillar

  • ok so numbers? not random people numbers, FORD numbers. brand new duramax claims best in class power and torque, at 397 hp and 765 ft/lbs. Thats straight from gm

  • @richie19r ford was 390 hp and 735 tq but chevy beat em so they had to reprogram there junk to 400hp 800tq to make themself look good lol

  • Comments to a couple of different guys. First - Ford does NOT own Cummins. Second - the 2011 Powerstroke is a Ford designed and built engine. Everything before '11 is Navistar/Iinternational. Scorpion is the in-house code name for the new engine. The Powerstroke name is used by Ford for the DIT engines.

  • We will see how this new engine holds out over time. IMO right now cummins is the only engine built for industrial use, but that may be changing

  • extremely impressive..

  • so this new diesel is called a scorpion, right?

  • @Williewmson No, it will still be sold under the Power Stroke moniker.

  • @Williewmson Its nick named the scorpion because of the turbo going down the back, like the tail of a scorpion.

  • for all you cummins guys you know who owns them right ford does ford knows better than to put that crap in a true quallity truck the powerstroke is the best motor i belive that was ever made especially the 7.3 but it couldent meet the smog requirements otherwise im shure they would still be putting it into their trucks!

  • @bmxboi369 fords never really owned cummins just some stock back in the 90s look things up before you talk lol

  • "old diesel" sound sounds way better. ford says they built the powerstroke...wrong...international does.

  • @ragebowhunter93 international built all powerstrokes before 2011, and the reason they quited the engine down was because their target consumer, mostly men above the age of 55, didn't like the loud noisy diesel. i say if its too loud ur too old!!

  • its still piece of junk. Thats what they said about their older engines and they have turned out to be pieces of sh** They should of stayed with 7.3

  • stop stroking and start cummin......cummins is way better than this shit

  • who gives a shit?

  • is it just me or does Ford seem like they have taken there game to a new level? I know cummin is 1 as far as engines go. But if Ford ever gets the engine right to make it a competitor. I think Ford has a winner. Everything about the Super duty looks Super sized. I'm looking fora new truck. currently own a dodge. Love the cummins engine. But without a body tosupport these newengines a truck is useless. From some one who is constatly loaded and beatingthere truck down I wonderwhoisthebest.

  • I hope all those engineers at Ford read the comments left by real day to day users just like you and I, so that finally they feel embarrased and come up with some real worthy product that is going to out perform all others including cummings. I know that ford has the cash and technology to put into its motors, but i hope they don't go cheap on the metal alloys on the heads. By the way I own a cummings but I really like the ford body design. Cummings is still king of the jungle baby!!!!

  • ford copied the duramax and they think your the greatest fuck off loser. just stop building your ford duramax and just let GM do it. 2011 HD GM TRUCKS are going to the top

  • I still feel that an engine should have at least a 1000 mi. range in event of coolant loss without overheating.

    This would be SuperDuty.

If the Ford had a rear axle like a Tatra truck it would have less stress on the rear shackles, etc.

Have you crashed your SuperDuty into a barrier with the 12 000 lb. trailer in tow?

Perhaps a tourbus should have the SuperDuty cab on the front.

If I won a lottery I would not complain so much.

  • Ford 400hp and 800lb ft torque... Cummins ain't got shyt on ford.... Cummins better come out with a engine that can suck my dick to bet ford.. Ford at least gives me a hand job.....

  • Ford 390 Horsepower 735 lb/ft Torque.

  • @fordtrucksftw there is a dealer upgrade to 800 ft lbs

  • @fordtrucksftw with the software upgrade its 400hp and 800lb ft torque and its free to get the upgrade

  • @fordtrucksftw 400 hp 800 tq. new flash

  • @dimpilsPEACE Cummins builds engines that are superior to anything GM and Ford are currently building. The engine in the Dodge ram is the same basic engine Cummins was supplying when Dodge introduced the Cummins truck... Ford and GM on the other hand.. try and fail.. try and fail. Both of them have tried several variations of their V configuration engines and.. What? FAILED!

  • @dimpilsPEACE Cummins aren't massively overpowered with stock 50 horsepower chips either. Cummins will shit on you, you don't see Ford International or Chevy Duramax engines in bigrigs pulling 100000 pound loads all day, do you? Cummins and Cat all the fuckin way. This engine is brand new too, the 6.7L Cummins hasn't been changed for 3 and a half years, dumb fuck.

  • @CowsXonXcrack besides you damn fag, Ford uses Cat and Cummins in their trucks as well you fuckin monkey

  • @dimpilsPEACE haha your talking shit when cummins are in generators, boats, big rigs, and large marine vessels?? not to mention it has 2 cylinders less than ur big "powerjoke" and makes torque lower. Face it a inline diesel motor is way better than a v8 diesel motor. If you want a v8 go buy a mustang or camaro, that's why 85% of big rigs all have inline base motors for "torque". Ever seen a toyota supra? inline 6 motor which creates nasty torque out of all the sports cars out there.

  • @dimpilsPEACE the only reason dodge has such a low power rating is because of the shitty automatic transmission

i would pit my 2003 2500 against your new ford, guessuming you even have one

i guaran-damn-tee you that my dodge, with no mods other than no muffler, will outpull the ford in towing

on the side note i also get 23.9 miles per gallon

and my engine will last 15 times longer than yours

although all of this may piss you off, i will agree that the late 07-and-up cummins suck ass

  • @wandyamull I thought it was because Dodge puts Cummaparts in theirs

  • @wandyamull yeah, never buy a Dodge or any chrysler product with a automatic

  • @dimpilsPEACE Keep in mind, the Cummuns 6.7L is at least 3 years older than this engine. They might redesign it to compete, yet. I doubt it will be within the next 2 years, but they will eventually redesign it.

  • who cares what truck is better! i own a 2004.5 dodge cummins and ordered a 2011 i bought the ford cause of its tough truck capabiltys and that the kingranch is one of the nicest trucks out there for a STOCK FORM. who cares about sled pullin or any other form of racing thats not why they build trucks!
