So Apple wanted every song by every artist in their library? They sure don't make it easy for independent artists to get their songs on there without going through another company and paying a fee.

I find this funny how you talk about how irrelevant business plans are - but then here int he UK we have a show called Dragon's Den where millionaires get entrepreneurs in who give an idea/business and offer a percentage of the profits for investment - and they always ask for a business plan and very strict understanding of the numbers (since they wnat there investment back plus a profit) and yet they lsoe great ideas and busines form people over the plans while you say that it is just unknown.

@Dixavd those guys are MBAs :), Derek isn't a MBA, they are focusing on maximizing profits, Derek focused on providing a useful service; they are in for the money, Derek was in for the help. Derek had a different "Why".

a great mistake of big music company's and labels is that they don't adept to there surroundings and needs of the people.

this is why many starting to fail and blaim downloading is the problem and don't take action, adept and think of a idea to earn money with there company a other way.
