Just like some other people said - I'm not gonna judge if it's good or bad but this is not a Krav Maga technique. I honestly don't understand why would you present a different curriculum, different moves, different 'problem solutions' (at least totally different from what Eyal Yanilov's Krav Maga Global teaches around the world) but insist on calling it Krav Maga.
As you know (after all those years of teaching KM) there are many possible good defenses to each situation. In KM they usually teach, What we show in our video: "Stick Strike From Above Inner Defense", yet it just doesn't cover every angle/situation. That why its best to be Armed with both defenses.
If you would like to input some real constructive criticism, you have the credentials and we would be glad.
@howtokravmaga I have been studying Krav Maga (civilian level 4) for almost 5 years, Krav Maga teaches essentially the same defense for specific attacks. Also, how many people are walkinng around "armed" as you stated? I am sure that your Krav Maga is somewhat effective, but attempting to grab an assailants hand when in motion is extremely difficult.
I have a quick question.. i studied Krav maga in my own city and after bursting through the stick attack my instructor always emphasized striking before going for a lock disarmim thankfull for you sending me this video and i will subscribe but im just curious why youve gone straight for the lock?
Striking to the groin is a must! and also striking the face and neck are great to neutralize the attacker.
In our videos we try and only show the core move. These tutorial videos are for people with some martial arts or practical self defense experience, where it is obvious that in every situation you must add aggressive striking to quickly and successfully end the fight.
what if the attacker is much bigger than me and his hand is also twice as big as my hands, how can i bend his wrist ? it would be difficult, besides he could hold his hand tight and resist my bending
@txl43n how tall are you ? about me: I was threatened by a guy who is 2 years older than me, he is 1m85 tall, stout body and uneducated,he also did lots of work out, which makes me think of the situation I mentioned, I cant imagine how the hell I can deal with a dickhead like that using this technique
My adivce , is that u should flow with his energy and mot stop it.Because if he was bigger and stronger, u wpuld not be able to stop his momentum like u did, I wish best in ur efforts.
thanks for sending me the vid, will subscribe, but i have one point: is the instructional designed or aimed at beginners or experienced martial artistes, because the reason i ask is, wrist lock which is imho the key factor to the move; i feel you could explain it and spend a little more time to highlight the detail on the technique. thanks
Our tutorial videos are truthfully aimed at people who do have some sort of martial arts or practical self defense experience. They are meant to explain the move in a detailed and direct manner.
You are right that we could have added detail explaining the wrist lock, yet we didn't want to over complicate this otherwise simple move. If you practice this move with a training partner you will easily understand and feel how the wrist locks. Thanks for your comments.
@msjax98 your a brave chick, well done; that low life showed you his weakness in his nerves and you took full advantage of the situation; the guy was trying to frighten you more that harm you, you where incredibly lucky not to get hurt but kudos to you!
you lost about 0.3 - 0,5 seconds before you grab his hand... btw nice video...
