What is the difference between a yukata and a kimono? Is a yukata only worn during the fireworks and a kimono worn on other occasions or something else?
@KAngelWhimseyMiloK In Japan people are very concerned with other peoples feelings. He is letting the store clerk know it is okay, possibly a lot due to the affect that the store clerk is dealing with a foreigner and may feel uneasy because she can speak fluent Japanese and the other girl cannot.

; .; I wish I could fluently speak Japanese. There inst any lessons (that I know of) in my area. But I did understand some of the words you were saying. There was 'yes' 'Its ok (Or something like that)' 'Great' 'Cute' At the start, I didnt get that many words... BUT YEAH :D
On the video, Pretty epic, Now my friend knows how to roughly tie one up for our year 12 Dress-up day.
@howchildish I'm not sure but I can measure it if you like. I'm very excited to wear it now that spring is in the air! thanks for all your comments everybody :D
I have the same exact Yukata, but the Obi I got with it was a completely different color, and defiantly not long enough to tie a proper Obi. T__T makes me sad, most I can use it for is a bathrobe...damn.
no. it's actually a beautiful second-hand store in Aoyama, Tokyo. It's hidden behind the main road around French Connection. Wish I remembered the name!
you're right KooriAi. it's a yukata. unfortunately not many people know what a yukata is outside of japan, so i opted to call it a kimono even though it's not correct.
