Harry Potter has been a huge part of my life and been around for pretty much all of it. I learnt to read from the first few books and recordings of Stephen Fry reading them, I bought each book and own all the movies. Despite all of this I acknowledge that the last book could have used a bit of editing, to be honest the Deathly Hallows themselves were way too big for a last book. I also agree about the film; I also thought that perhaps it relied a bit too much on people having read the book.
