@TheUltimatephoenix71 Actually, in 3rd gen eggs have the same chance of being shiny as wild pokemon (1 in about 8000), regardless of if the parents are shiny or not.

For 4th gen, a shiny parent makes the odds of a shiny baby 1 in 2000.

In 5th gen games, it's 1 in 1300.

So it is a lot more likely but you would still REALLY have to persevere lol....

First shiny i saw was a golden ursaring in gold. Thoguht it was a bug so i killed it then used my masterball on a regular ursaring later. Next shiny i saw was the green espeon in firered/leaf green. I played all the gba titles and got NO shinies :( but i got a green weezing in diamond :)

Yeah its true when you find one stars to appear and circle the pokemon. Most of my pokemon are shiny. Mostly because i have an action replay. Skoropi is one of the most easies pokemon you can find shiny.

I think Skorupi is cuter, but Drapion looks really cool. These days, though, I find the evolutions of Pokémon are a lot less desirable than their pre-evolved counterparts. But, their stats get better when they evolve, so... : /

I was obviously saying that Red Gyrados, being the only scripted shiny (Gold/Silver/Crystal), is the only shiny I've seen (legitly).

I know how rare they are. There's a 1/635536 chance of seeing one. Which mean, out of sixty-five thousand five hundred thirty-six battles, you're likely to see only one shiny.

1. my first was a green girl nidoran in the safari zone! im lucky i caught it.

2. after beating the poke leauge i ran into a gold pidgey on the 1st route.

3 while training on island 7 i stumbled into a blue psyduck which evolved into a blue golduck.

from friends ive received 3 real shinies...

1.a golden-ish mightyena

2. a golden-ish nicada which when evolving gave out a shining shedinja.

If not through global trading, then probably from Coliseum.

Obtain in Pokemon Coliseum by purifying every shadow pokemon, trade it to Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire, then transfer it over to Diamond/Pearl.

i found my skorupi at night in the great marsh...before you enter the great marsh there are some stairs.on the second floor there are 3 binoculars..use them to see in witch location there is a skorupi and go there..
