Actually, an easier way to "coontails" is to braid the hair then paint all over the braid, when its done "processing" take it out and *stripestripestripe*

I've been told that if you put conditioner on the parts that you don't want the color to get on, it makes the rinsing process tons easier. I haven't tried it yet, but it sounds like a good idea if anyone is wondering...

@261taquitos i use windows movie maker as well, i hate it, i dont have a toshiba but how i do it is i just drag the song in like i would for a video clip and it should place itself under where the video clip shows up in the timeline, i hope this helped

It depends on the type of hair, usually blond hair with dark permanent hair dye can discolor it over time, and the only way to get the original color back would be to cut it off. Dark brown and black hair are usually good with hair dye, but some bleaches also effect the color. It shouldn't really damage it though.

I've been told that using sticky tape is the best way to do "coontails". Just tape around your hair strand, leave about an inch between each stripe & then just get your dye & go over it. It alsot makes the stripes a lot more neater & straighter.
